I loved the official WYBDR video (thanks for that as well), but I like this more intimate view of the scouting trip. I can't wait for episode 2, and I can't wait to ride the WYBDR. As always, thank you so much for bringing us along. I can't believe people watch cable television when there is fantastic content like this in the world.
Thanks for all the work that you do setting up these routes, sharing these routes, filming, editing, and narrating all of these routes. You truly are one of the most important assets to adventure motorcycling. I really do appreciate all of the effort that you have put into everything on this channel. Thank you so much for all that you do!
The US is a pretty big place, isn't it? One BDR, in just one State, and it's 1K miles?! That's twice the length of my home country! Beautiful place Sterling (and Cameron)! Thanks for taking us along.
To drive across Canada, you will put on 7821 kms. The longest province, Ontario, will take 24 hours (@100km/hour non-stop) to cross, and that is if you are not held up somewhere with traffic.
Great footage, as always. We’re riding the WYBDR in three weeks, so it’s nice to see what a July timeframe will look like in terms of snow and weather.
I can't wait! We leave for the WYBDR on July 23rd! 2 Tenere's, a KTM 890ADV, and a Suzi WeeStrom! We are gonna bust a move! So thanks for putting this series out brother! Great intel!
Thank you Sterling for showing this video. Great personal insight on this BDR. After we met in Baggs when you started your trip, was surely curious how the rest of your scouting trip went.
It’s absolutely awesome ! Thanks for your wonderful video’s. I live about the middle of the WYBDR in Lander and doing the northern half first and second half in August-September.
I talked to 2 men and a woman camped in Lander’s city park yesterday and they are new you ! They were from Washington and riding the WyBDR ! I don’t recall the names, but I think one was Byron. May be mistaken. They were riding BMW’s and the woman had a smaller bike.
It's definitely not what most people think it is. Yellowstone is not what most of Wyoming is like. I've lived in Wyoming for over 30 years and it's a mixed bag, great scenery and usually few crowds, but the trade off is horrifically brutal winters, insanity inducing wind and cringe worthy state and local politics (very toxic mix of corruption and extremism)
Hi Sterling, I was at the Springfield BMW MOA Rally this past weekend and had the pleasure of meeting your girlfriend Eva. I immediately recognized her being that I am a big fan of your YT channel. I introduced myself then we talked a little about some of the rides you all have been on and a few laughs, your a lucky man she is a one of a kind for sure. I mention to her I want to ride out so I can spend a few days at the motel maybe the 3 of us can have some more laughs. Be safe in that backcountry and stay away from Banjo players sitting on bridges.
That burned section only burned in 2020 in the Mullen fire, it burned out almost the entirety of the southern section of the snowy range and had even merged with the Cameron Peak fire in Colorado in a few spots. That is also the highest part of Southern Wyoming and the only real alpine area in the southern half of the state. This route definitely showcases the huge variety of terrain in Wyoming. Most people expect forests and high mountains because Yellowstone and Teton, they don't expect the high deserts, canyons and wide open steppes that make up the majority of the state.
It was great meeting you at the launch in Cal and we are staying in Baggs July 30th to head out on Aug 1st for the run....great seeing this..thanks again!!!
Looks awesome. It's a dream of mine to ride a BDR with my son and son in-law. Since none of us have a ADV bike it won't happen anytime soon. ADV bike is on my radar in the future. I have been riding for over 30 years. Currently riding a 2016 Harley Ultra Limited and a 2018 Harley Breakout. Great video can't wait till the movie comes out.
Sterling - thanks for another great vid. I am going to do section 4 from Alcova to Atlantic City on my T7 solo this week. Any advice or tips on this section? Any very difficult parts of section 4? Thanks again.
Read the description. There's a reason the creators take the time to add it along with all the time they spend filming and editing. Just a little work on your part and voila, answer had
Yes! Thank you for doing this series. Hugely useful for those of us who want to know what to expect before we tackle the route!

Yesterday, I was so upset that I just finished the batch of Baja videos. The next day, this little nugget pops up in my notifications. So wonderful.

Thanks for another great video. While WY isn’t in my neck of the woods, I can enjoy it vicariously. Thanks gain.

40 miles in, "Just a basic dirt road" -- so THAT's what BDR *really* stands for. :)

My only regret doing the wybdr was not planning on staying at Boyer Ranch, would be a perfect stop if you don't get to Baggs early in the day
Fantastic!

Summer 2021
Perfect timing for your own videos of this BDR since I'll be heading to Baggs mid-July to do it myself.
