Road Runner Show intro and extro (s) in STEREO

- A treat for anyone who loves the original Road Runner Show theme like myself. Here is the theme song and credit music (written by Barbara Cameron) in STEREO! Note there are 3 different recordings of the end credit theme music. The first is identical to the opening theme-with the vocals treated with a reverb effect. The other 2 are dry vocal versions-each are different music and vocal recordings-likely done at the same session-each different lengths(The middle length version is my personal fave-musically it's the best performance).
Note: the Copyright remains with Warner Brothers and is posted here simply for the enjoyment of the general public. - เพลง
One of the catchiest tv themes of all time !
I agree! I miss the Looney Tunes on Saturday!
The older I get, the more I miss 70's Saturday morning cartoons. Best part of the week.
They are now on METV every weekday morning and Saturday’s too! 😁
Watch cartoons until noon, then go outside and play.
The guitarist and chorus vocals are so great.
Old school cartoons are so enjoyable to watch!
Even better, the classic Bugs Bunny Road Runner show was the wipeout number one series on Saturday mornings for more than a decade running.
Sure... unless you're the coyote.
who’s here because of coyote vs acme?
I’ve loved the Looney Tunes since I was a child. I’m now 24 and I still love them. You’re never too old for these cartoons. 😊
24 lol, thats cute. im 54 and feel the same way.
These cartoons do stick with you for a long time if you started loving them in your childhood
Hehe! I'm in my 60's and watched this Saturday mornings TV cartoon since I was a young child... some 60+ years ago and I still love it! 🥰🌵❣
My uncle and aunt introduced me to it as a kid when I was visiting them. They were in their 50s, regular watchers.
I LOVE THEM!!
This First aired in Theatres back in 1949 and is still one of the greatest cartoons ever. Roadrunner even inspired Plymouth to name one of their Muscle cars after it 😊
I love this classic cartoon television show! I was born in 1978! I love the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show! I love both classic theme songs! Thank you for posting and sharing!
Back when people were watching good cartoons
Your so right and themes were great
Always loved these Road Runner show bumpers cause the music was cool.
The Shining brought me here. And it seems that I'm not the only one.
Mee too, lol
Not really
I knew someone would come 👍❤️ .. deep watching ..

THE INTRO one of the best! LOONEY TUNES CARTOONS WITH THE GREAT THEME WERE ALWAYS A JOY TO SEE!
49 yrs old here and the cartoons nowadays can't hold a wick to Mel Blanks " The Looney Toons" 🤘🖤 Listening to this is so nostalgic .🖤🖤🖤
Hey, I’m the one that posted this and even I have to come listen to it every so often. It was a personal fave from when I was little. Not much has changed. I’m both an avid music collector and cartoon collector. 🤣
If you like Mel Blank check out when he was on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jack Benny and Mel and Jack do all the famous skits they did together.
Tunes*
After seeing all the crap he went through, the Coyote's descendants decided it would be a heck of a lot easier to move to the suburbs and eat cats
@dunno y I SAW THAT EPISODE
dunno y but did he though? Or did the roadrunner (who’s now a giant compared to the now shrunken down coyote) get him?
Suggie Thames 😆😆😆😆
@@generalchaos6 Nobody knows.
😂😂
I always used to watch this in the 80's and go "Meep Meep" when me and my Brother ran around the apartment lol, I love this show I'm gonna see if I can find it on DVD.
There's no official DVD. There's one episode Warners has officially released. It's on a compilation package called "Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1960s Vol. 2"
Sadly Warners holds little value for their vintage TV properties like that.
@@MrStereo10 but there is a cover on the DVD called bip bip and wile e coyote
In the actual intro, you can expect to hear an announcer saying, THE ROAD RUNNER SHOW!!
that's the way i recall it, too............btw, i'm 62.........
I grew up in the 90s, and this is still my favorite cartoon from my childhood. Nothing quite like the classics.
I grow up in the 2000s and this is still my favourite childhood cartoon
I've been watching these ( not lately ) since the 60s....Im 64...and Ive likely seen every Looney Tune cartoon or most of them Im sure every Saturday, especially in the winter months!
There are about a thousand of the vintage Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies. I’m a huge cartoon fan and at age 57, I’m still seeing ones I’ve never seen before. One recent discovery was a fourth 3 Bears cartoon. I’d always thought there were only 3 ever made. Forever surprised by these cartoons.
Man, this song is catchy
Most great songs are. I’ve loved this theme for over 50 years. I found it cool that they recorded 3 completely unique end credit themes. In most cases they Would just record one full length version and edit it down.
Can't watch this without thinking of The Shining.
same
Me too.
Ryan Hart Came here because of it
Exactly 👍😊!!!!! I miss Saturday mornings 😞!!!! Peace out for now my friend 👋. Take care of yourself and your family during this coronovirus pandemic 😷 ok. Much love from Bunn NC.👋💖💖😊.
funny, because both road runner and the shining are by warner bros
I was born in 1977, and grew up with Looney Tunes. Sure, I liked them all, Bugs, Yosemite Sam Porky Pig, Pepe Le Peux, etc....but Road Runner & Wile E Coyote were my favorites. I never missed a single Looney Tunes or Road Runner Show. Just seeing the openings & hearing the song brought back such fond memories of my childhood and much simpler times in the world. It's a shame cartoons today aren't made that way for our kids born today and future generations. At least they can watch these timeless classics 🙂
What the hell happened to Saturday morning cartoons?
I know. I waited all week to sit in front of the TV with my Pop Tarts and OJ then watch the coyote get blown up.
cable and channels like Cartoon Network which show them 24/7
If it was 1996, then you could have depended on Cartoon Network for such shows. But not the Cartoon Network of today.
They got removed by overprotective parents, who were brainwashed by that hustle, loyalty, respect bullshit from John Cena!
If they could play ANY form of the Looney Tunes on Cartoon Network, it would be AMAZING. Instead, Teen Titans Go (more like No) plays constantly.
If you're on the highway and Road Runner goes "Beep beep",
Just step aside or might end up in a heap.
Road Runner, Road Runner runs down the road all day.
Even the coyote can't make him change his ways.
Road Runner, the coyote's after you.
Road Runner, if he catches you you're through.
Road Runner, the coyote's after you.
Road Runner, if he catches you you're through.
That coyote's really a crazy clown!
When will he learn he never can mow him down?
Poor little Road Runner never bothers anyone;
Just runnin' down the road's his idea of having fun.
Do dodo
Do do do do dodo

Eduardo Perez aka El Macho.
yep, bitchin vocal & horn arrangement, great twangy guitar.. this is a great song. always loved as a stand alone tune. also loved the cartoon.
Second that! One nifty detail: note the horn blasts in the chorus, mimicking both the Roadrunner's "beep beep" *and* the sound of a contemporary car horn (traditionally tuned to a major third, just like the trumpets in the song). Neat, eh?
Always good to listen to. From the time when it first came out and hearing it on a small b/w TV with tinny sound... all the way to now. Nice and clean! 👍
Cartoons back then had to have cool theme songs and openings. This one delivered in both.👍
We used to sing it in our band and IT always rocked!!
CBS, Saturday mornings, 9:30 am - 11 am, mid-1970s thru mid-1980s. It was known as "The Bugs Bunny-Road Runner Show" at that time.
Me, my brother, my sister and my dad watching the show in front of the bulky brown Zenith color TV...cereal 🥣 bowls on our laps (usually cornflakes or Raisin Bran...my parents wouldn't let us kids have the good stuff 😔). It was the ONLY time we were ever allowed to eat in front of the TV when my siblings and I were small---you HAD to eat at the kitchen table, no ifs, ands or buts, unless you were sick. No appealing to a higher court---my parents WERE the higher court! Lolol 😆
Good times!
For me it started in the late 60’s, early 70’s. 5pm Sundays. The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour. We had an old upright Black & White tv from the 50’s. We didn’t get a colour set until December 1974. The short clip used of this theme used in the BB/RRh was all I knew until the late 70’s when they started to make bumper for the show using 2 longer edits of the theme. It wasn’t until the early 2000’s that i got to see the show in this format. Canada had finally gotten a retro cartoon channel-Teletoon Retro, which began to run old film print copies of this. There was also a French version of the channel that also ran the show(strictly road runner cartoons though). What was unique here is the theme and extros on the French version were entirely instrumental! Thats how I created this stereo mix 10 years ago. There are better ways to achieve that now. I hope to try that eventually. It’s such a catchy, memorable theme.

THANK YOU Ms. Tircha! I remember this song from back in the day. For some reason, my middle-aged brain thought of this song today and I always wondered what the real/actual lyrics were!
I simply just didn't know that this music was sung!
Reminds me of me and my my brother Kevin when I was little
Sometimes we would ruff house and I could never pin him down
😁 thanks and happy 2020
Love this song. I remember sitting on the rug in front of our black and white TV watching the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour back in 1969 while eating Sugar Smacks cereal on Saturday mornings...
You and me both :) Cept the show for us was on Sunday afternoons at 5
Sugar Corn Pops here.
Me Too But I Liked Cap'n Crunch. Our TV Was A Philco Made By Ford Motor Comp.
@@improperbostonian6722 I remember eating breakfast watching this on a Saturday with my Mother we would laugh out

@@MrStereo10 what about me I love that show a lot even though I didn't get to see it but I still love it
All I can think of is 'The Shining' when Danny is watching this on TV.
As a kid, I always wanted Wile E. Coyote to catch the Road Runner. But if he succeeded, there would be no more cartoons with them. 😂
Maybe that's why it was eventually canceled... Cyote finaly got'im...lol
Coyote...lol
When I was a kid it just wasn't Saturday until I heard this music! Thank you for posting!
I remember this from when I was a child.......but The Shining brought me here like everyone else
absolutely THE best slapstick pantomime cartoons you will ever see; never a word spoken, but you know exactly what is happening, and what will happen in advance.
lol, oddly enough this popped in my head today and had to come listen to it. It has been awhile since I heard it!
Eski den çok vardı road runner çizgi-film i şimdi ise çok az izliyorlar. Ama hala ünlü bir çizgi-film ama gerçekten harika olmuş
My dog chasing the cat brings back this memory. Classic.!!
My childhood growing up in the late 60's and the 1970's watching Saturday morning cartoons.
Me too I love and still do love the LOONEY TUNES
cartoons, milk and cookies.
Truly a FANTASTIC musician!!!!!
Straight fire!!!!!!!!!!!!
More! I want more! *Hits refresh button*
Its addicting, heard it since kid in 1965 Saturday am cartoons
You can just hit replay.
Oh, bring back these classic shows. These are the ones I grew up with and are forever etched into my memory.
I agree!!! Bring them Back put them on Prime Time get rid some these reality BS shows
I like all the characters of Looney Tunes, but these two were always my favourite duo! And they still are to this day!
I've always really liked hearing this theme song every Saturday morning. LOL..... actually,I just got done watching the movie the shining, & I heard it, then had to look it up on here to hear it play all the way through. LOL!!
I’ve loved this theme since I was little (now 57). It was only about 20 years back that I got to see the Road Runner Show in its original form. It was a surprise to find, not only were there 3 credit sequences with different lengths, but the actual music for those segments were different recordings. Normally you’d have the same recording simply edited to the appropriate length, but here they are actually different performances. That’s pretty unique, which is why I included them all. It’s an extremely catchy tune. I have to come here and listen once and a while myself, 😂
@@MrStereo10 that's cool 😎
Roadrunner cartoons are still my favorites to this day. (Jan Griffiths).
Jacked up on Cap’n Crunch and dancing to this in front of the television set in the living room at the age of 7. Those were the days.
All we ever had in my house was either cornflakes, Shredded Wheat, or raisin bran. Bleah! 😝
Honeycomb for my mom, she would eat straight out of the box while watching cartoons.
My dad and I used to LOVE listening to this...he was always like, 'Listen to the guitars...it's like a real hit song!'...LOL...
You can hear this in the Shining in one scene when Danny and Wendy are talking!
I remember
Ismael Nunez How many times can someone say they heard this in the shining?
Be careful, some poster may take your "how many times" comment as a literal challenge.

I like the bass guitar sound to this song.
I'll make a wild guess on the musicians playing this session:
Vocals: Barbara Cameron (female), ?? (male)
Guitar: Glen Campbell and/or Tommy Tedesco
Bass: Carol Kaye
Drums: Hal Blaine
Sax: Plas Johnson
Trumpets: ??
Assuming this was recorded in LA (why wouldn't it have been?), the pool of local first-call session players, aka "The Wrecking Crew" (a rather contentious nickname) would have certainly been involved. That snappy bass-played-with-a-pick sound is a Carol Kaye trademark.
My God, I haven't seen this in YEARS!!
Been probably 45 years for me!
Great guitar work in this song ! :)
LOVE that chicken-pickin' between the vocal lines.
This is so true. I miss Looney Tunes on the weekends they were the greatest. They don't make cartoons like this anymore
Some pretty good electric guitar playing in there.
Ever notice that the highway is always deserted (except when a truck rolls along to pound Wile E.)?
Arizona!,... but West Texas is like that too.. nothing but natural gas wells, commercial driving only. Drive thru on full tank only !
It’s a conspiracy.
i love this song
I love this song too. I was using my mom's account anyways I agree with your opinion
Michael lecca
It was me
Sorry ☹️
That tune is a jump in little number!
Wile E Coyote will always be #1 in my heart
What a flashback! This was seriously some of the funniest LOL stuff ever made for TV. Wile E. Coyote always got the short end of the stick (or grenade). Thanks for making this stereo-ized version of the theme too! It really is great job and haven't heard it in years! Gotta love that fast twanging guitar and the lyrics. The studio musicians must've had a ball doing this and then enjoyed some cold beers afterward. It's 1967 all over again!
+jupitr2 The guitar work is *really* good. Someone was having a hell of a lot of fun.
Just watched the shining again yesterday forgot about this show haha
Had never seen The Shining until about 2 or so years ago. It was on TV and I watched it with my Dad-who happened to have it on. Horror was not his thing, so it was odd he was watching it, but there we were, and I finally saw the scene with the Road runner clip everyone here was talking about. It was the last movie I got to watch together with my Dad-who died July 1, 2016.
I heard this song in The Shining as Danny and Wendy were sitting on the bed watching this together, and she was about to get up and "go talk to Daddy" bringing a baseball bat with her. Movies have a way of bringing us to songs.
It was also a good metaphor for what was about to happen. Jack turned out to be as bumbling and stupid as the coyote chasing Wendy and Danny.
Kubrick certainly knew how to establish mood in a scene...........
I love this 😀 I do find that coyote funny and cute! 😄🤪
After watching the Chuck Jones & Bob McKimson shorts,I have to watch the Rudy Larriva ones...UGH!!!
This might be the greatest song ever!
This is definitely one of the best cartoon theme songs! Takes me back to when I was a very little kid. :)
love road runner
I love this show and saw this in the 80's.
Great job Brian....thank you...You made my morning....now, I am going to have this theme song in my mind all day...and I love it....I would love more....more more.....God Bless
You're very welcome. It's been a fave of mine since I was a kid. I was really hoping Warners would have included a cleaned up version of this and the Bugs bunny/Road runner Hour themes on the Golden Collections but they never got around to it. For a short time I received the French Teletoon retro channel when they were carrying this program. The shows were made entirely up of Road runner cartoons-and there were fewer episodes as a result, but discovering that the theme was instrumental was a total mind blower! I had to try and sync the 2 together and create what you hear here. Glad you enjoyed it. :)
Incredible quality
Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!!
You're very welcome :)
That roadrunner is the only thing to eat in the desert.
John Dahlman well according to wile e coyote that is
Of course, there were always the tarantulas and the cactii, but hardly fitting for Wile E., of course! :-)
bringzzzzzzzzz me back to a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time ago 40+ years ago, thank you for Posting this.
yah man..loved & will always love the original road runner
I love the guitar in this.
Until 2017, I only knew the Spanish version of "The Road Runner Show." "The Shining" was my intro to the English version. I only watched "The Road Runner Show" in Spanish once, back in 2003. I was five then.
It’s a very catchy theme. Once you hear it it’s hard to forget. I’d not seen the actual show in it’s original form until the 2000’s. They used part of the theme in the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour. Then they made short cartoon bumpers with full versions of the theme.
It really is. I love it!
Been lookin' for this a LONG time (I'm 46). Thank you very much for puttin' this up. Keep up the GREAT work!
Heh, that makes 2 of us. Wish Warners valued their old TV product like we do. There is only ONE full episode available on DVD. It's on one of the Saturday Morning Cartoon sets they put out(I think it's one of the 70's ones). It's not remastered-just a straight film print.
MY CHILDHOOD...:D
Love this and all of Looney Tunes one of the cartoons always looked forward to seeing every Saturday morning

This was a great time in my childhood all of the looney tunes cartoons still holds up very well to this day.
Yes, Road Runner is the only thing to eat in the desert!
Great themes thanks for posting :) I love the Roadrunner Cartoons
Never heard such audio quality on these clips; more kudos for including all the three outro edits. Thank you so much for this!
As a kid, this was my favorite cartoon and favorite theme song. Just an FYI, it's an 'outro', not an extro (no such thing). Great video!
Great theme song!
This brought back fond memories. Thanks for the upload!
Courtesy of Warner Bros. Television Distribution.
was noticing that during those theme songs, there's some pretty spiffy surf guitar-playing going on there......sounds like the sort of thing that Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits would have fun jamming................
I used to watch it as a kid......and I was just watching "the shinning" again for the second time.....and I never picked up the cartoon theme playing when I watched the first time.......
I like this song
DeAndre 95 so do I great song to run the track
I like this song too
I like this song merely because it was in The Shining
Being 54 now, this was my favorite show (that and Pink Panther). When I was preteen and this was airing, a schoolmate of mine teased me by singing the song with altered words. My last name is Ridgeway. He used to sing "Ridge Runner, how fast can your mother's car go (pretty fast)".
It's been almost 40 years since I heard this. God I still love it. Guess this song is why I'm a Mopar fan. Wish I had my '72 back. Vitamin C orange with a black stobe stripe over the top near the back window, pedestal mounted wing on the trunk lid and a big 440. I lost my license for 6 mos. for 137 mph. Cop's just don't have a sense of humor about some stuff.
Meep meep.......
I can't stop watching these excessively funny cartoons. They've been my favourite ones ever since I was a kid in the 1970s. And because of how they make me laugh , l feel like I'm addicted to watching them.
Very good cartoon in our child hood day every cartoon teach every lesson in our life
OMG! I remember that song!
the Shining brought me here.
Phillip Ratliff Would make sense both are from Warner Brothers lol
Phillip Ratliff which part
I haven’t seen this in like 35 years and remember the lyrics !
Awww this brings back childhood memories as seeing this show and just loving roadrunner...I may be younger than most watching this but I did love me some classic looney tunes as a kid and still do, it would be a total privilege to be the Roadrunner in new cartoons and just be able to be the cutest bird in cartoon history ever! MEEP MEEP!!! *zooms off because he’s a roadrunner*
There was an episode of sitcom NIGHT COURT that aired in the 1980's.
In it there's a scene that opens on the judge talking to an unseen defendant that if he's hungry he should go to a restaurant or grocery store, & that he should leave that bird alone.
When the camera finally shows the defendant it turns out to be the Coyote.
The shinning !!
This was aired in Cartoon Network in our country Philippines back in the day.
This show has a good contribution on my self learning on how to speak English back when i was two years old...

thanks for the stereo
Kubrick never missed a beat in putting music in his movies.
Love the Looney Tunes Thank You for posting this love it Watched them every Saturday morning My mother miss them
amazing...didn't know the show had closing credits..loved it
What amazed me was how there were 3 different versions of the closing credits music. Not just different edits-each a completely different recording. I loved finding the instrumental version from the French TV version of the show-which is how I made the Stereo sync.
