I'm gonna be honest with you. There were sooooo many people commenting in the previous video saying 'oh U need to take it to a professional' or 'you can't do this by yourself'. Srsly, you just fixed a problem no one guessed, in your own garage. Respect, sometimes you just gotta do your own thing.
Gavin May he should still take it to a tuner/dyno just to make sure it runs good.
Andrew oh yea 100% agree with you there. I was just so surprised at how logical he went through to solve the problem. So many comments previously were saying he should get the ecu professionally looked at.
Wan't it done right do it yourself. I have learned this lesson OVER and OVER.
Well to be fair he got help welding a DIY turbo kit (where his buddy did most of the work) but he did fix a lot of the big problems on his own

The engine running rich makes sense if the flex fuel sensor isn't working. Ethanol is less energy dense than gasoline so you actually need 30% more to make the same power. If the ECU thinks ethanol is in the tank it's actually injecting 30% more gas into the system than necessary

I agree. And as rich as it runs plus having run it without a throttle body opening I'd replace the spark plugs for peace of mind. It won't hurt to do so but would suck to take it out on first test only to find it miss fires under load.

Yelsew Painter that’s not how insurance works. You definitely pay more for high end vehicles in terms of insurance but full coverage insurance covers the vehicle regardless of the person or cause. Your premiums will probably go up but at least your car is covered.
Yelsew Painter insurance follows the car. If the car is taken/driven with permission it’s covered. Regardless if it was stolen depending on coverage you selected it would be covered. I write auto insurance.

did the previous owner pull an insurance fraud? because that's a pretty specific wire to get magically severed while the rest of the wires were fine.

Saw it, might be previously spilled oil or coolant that dripped from the vibration of hi revs but regardless he should look into it!!!!

Watched your vids from the beginning of this build and trust me, i almost felt the same feelings you did when it revved (not totally since i dont have a lambo in my garage ☹. So much blood, sweat and tears put into something you werent sure would run, then it suddenly works! No greater feeling. So congrats and get that thing on the road!
It's running rich because it's still tuned for E85. E85 contains about 30% less energy per unit volume than normal gasoline, so it has to run 30% more E85 to compensate. Now that you're running regular gasoline, you're running it way richer than it needs to be.
I was thinking the same thing, drain the gas and use e-85
The flex fuel sensor should automatically adjust accordingly for e85 or gasoline, even if you mix them.
He stated in the video a new sensor is on order.

Awesome channel. What I love too is that the instrument cluster on your lambo is the same as the one in my 06 audi a4 b7! haha. Good stuff. It’s very satisfying to see these cars been brought back to life with your own spin on them. I also do the same thing with audi’s, not as bad as these cars, but they require tlc and it’s very satisfying to solve problems and riddles with these cars.

I had a 2000 Audi A6 and the radio didnt work. The Audi mechanic used to small pins and pulled it out of the dash with almost no effort. It turned out to simply be a fuse in the back of the radio.
