At 17:35 that building behind the phone box was that a club and a arcade over the road from it because i have fond memories of it back in the 70's.

Our family spent 1973 and 1974 summer holidays in Jaywick. I wouldn't change it for anything. Wonderful memories.

The floods were the night of 31st January 1953 not the 31st of February (which there isn't anyway ) as he said

To answer my own question, this must have been broadcast in 1989 because at 4:50 it's mentioned that 36 years have passed since the 1953 flood.
