ya know, the more of the comments I read the more I realize how many fans don't have a clue how much effort and talent is put into what these guys do. Its not just open chugs the whole time watch what Jason's doing on the fretboard. Anything he plays is more talented than half the bands that play now days and as far as why there's 3 guitars, if you don't notice, Dan plays a harmony of what Jason plays to make a more full unique sound. If you have no education or understanding of how music works you shouldnt be bashing or criticizing. I'm sure I'll get hate for this but I'm tired of watching hard working talented artists get crapped on by people who don't have a clue.
What about drums? Basic consistent double pedal throughout 80% of playing with fire. I guess guitars are cool but this videos not a good example because you can't hear shit. It's just the screaming and drums people can only hear which just sounds the same
I've been a fan of CG for yearssss. I just love how they love what they do with every ounce of their being. And that's all you can ask for, really. Huuuge respect for them.
I remember seeing these guys about 4 years ago. I honestly did not enjoy their set at all at that time. But now they have improved so much and they are now one of my favorite bands. Jason is a God
I don't listen to Chelsea Grin very much, but it's so cool that the drummer does back up vocals, half the time I thought it was just audio in the background but very cool
On the studio versions of the songs from Ashes to Ashes, does anyone else have trouble telling which lows are Alex's and which are Pablo's? Because to me they sound the same. Until I saw the live performances and the music video to Playing with Fire, I actually thought all the low vocals were done by Pablo. Though I like how they sound nonetheless.
i remember them being super shitty on other live vids but they dont sound too bad here, im going to be seeing them in march so i need to see what im working with here haha, crazy to think they came out when i was still in highschool....now im 21...time flies
embie I think Sellout is awesome, its heavy, melodic and everything. That's why I pretty much like every song on Ashes To Ashes. In my opinion they perfectly combine that melodic stuff and the heaviness (:
i can't seem to understand how people have bad things to say about these guys. Most talented band on the label nd shit. This album has everything from ones with crazyyyyy riffs to ones like this that are just heavy to get the crowd goin. Pablo and Alex have sick vocals and the drumming is FAR from boring..
Faceless - Autotheism . The direction the genre needs to stop turning too. If you honestly listen to the 1st 3 songs on that album come back and talk about talent.
Okay Chelsea grin is the most talented band by far. No guitarist can touch Jason. And Jason and Dan together shred. And Alex has the best range. And tell me what drummer has above average skills like Pablo and screams as well. Oh okay
BigV120695 ummm Ryan Knight from TBDM is a waaaaaay better guitarist. Michael Keene is fucking amazing too! From The Facless, if you don't know who they are. Same goes for the guitarist from Son of Aurelius.
Erich Bourassa i know who they are lol. and I'm talking about as a whole. What band in this genre has the musical talent as a WHOLE. some bands have amazing guitarists but average drummers and vocalists. Their really isn't a screamer like Alex in any other band. and a drummer who writes above average parts and also scams? cmon dude
on every vans warped tour video the instruments are always messed up, it mainly the sound people, the don't make the guitars loud enough, especially in the motionless in white set it's mainly all the bass guitar...
Larry Newingham i agree with you. i think it was a GREAT idea for the band to do it that way. opens them up to so many more possibilities they can do with songs and what not. makes them better live give alex a little break haha
tyler martinez they've always had 3 guitarist, the third one is dan and he's been around for a while he just doesn't always tour with them, but he's always there for warped tour
Little late on this, but i notice he's wearing a walkie talkie piece so its most likely that he was a crew member before joining the band, possibly a guitar tech
It kind of reminds me of the Sterling ball jp70's, except they currently don't have them in red, but the new ones that are soon coming out (the jp70d I believe( with dimarzio pickups i believe)) are supposed to have a red model that looks similar to it (sorry for being too lazy to check on everything to make sure ;p)
Why's the whole band rocking JP models lol. Pretty sure Jason's the only one using it for what it's worth. The rest of the band could've gotten by with 6-string baritones (like WTR did for their first two albums) and no one would be able to tell the difference.
can some explain this to me cause im a little bit lost: alex still does lows correct? cause to me it seemed like Pablo did all the lows after the evolve ep? like it really confuses me
Seems like Pablo backs up the low growls alot, but Alex keeps up with those too :D But I guess mostly they are trying to combine their voices in some points of the songs, especially in the Ashes to Ashes; in their song 'clockwork' for example.

Thank you.

SteezyTeej then go listen to it on the album with headphones or some shit
SteezyTeej the drum parts that Pablo writes ain’t easy dude! They are super good for deathcore
SteezyTeej Basic? Bro, play the main riff. Then come back
I really admire the way Pablo plays his insane parts, and does his vocals at the same time. Its hard as fuck.
2:45 that crane stomp! looked just as good as Mitches Stomp!!!
2:43
I've been a fan of CG for yearssss. I just love how they love what they do with every ounce of their being. And that's all you can ask for, really. Huuuge respect for them.
Out of all the bassists I watched at Warped Tour this year, David's bass guitar was the sexiest. Just saying...
2:41 That maybe the most badass live breakdown I've ever heard.
I remember seeing these guys about 4 years ago. I honestly did not enjoy their set at all at that time. But now they have improved so much and they are now one of my favorite bands. Jason is a God
Thats the best they have ever sounded. So fuckin good...
I have to ask if you are joking
no lol
These three on guitar is when its best... actually, I take that back. Homeboy is missing. The original three are the best to watch collaborate.
dat bass guitar
ASSDSP is hands down my favorite song off of Ashes To Ashes.
pablo is a machine!
I really miss this lineup
I’ve seen them live once and they absolutely killed it
When Alex finally found a good technique and started sounding great live. I hope Ameonna starts touring someday I'd love to see him live!
I'm about to see them in Virginia beach later this month. Pretty stoked especially since it'll be my first concert, ever.
in the future were gonna appreciate this holy madness
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 the future is now!!
I don't listen to Chelsea Grin very much, but it's so cool that the drummer does back up vocals, half the time I thought it was just audio in the background but very cool
Still one of the heaviest performances of all time imo
00:24 I got chills when the guitars were plucked at the beginning.
damn!!! I love those heavy guitar riffs
3 guitarists to 1
I love this band!
Nice job man, thanks for posting.
miss this version of CG
Great album!!!!!
9/10, needed a Pablo cam :D Nice vid man :)
I'm so sad I missed these guys!!!!!!
God I wish I didn't miss them in San Antonio ;-; I came a little late... So I missed my chance to see one of my favorite bands...
a melhor formação 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Chelsea Grin mano, minha banda favorita, é uma pena que o Alex tenha saído, eu fico triste demais seloko.
Well this takes me back
4:57 his pants...look at them
Dat stomp tho, sick as performance!!!
***** ahh well just my opinion, sounds better than the other vids i saw of their performances
Song best served live.
Goddamn that live guitar tone was just perfect 👌🏾😮💨
I was there. :D
sucks that you can barely hear jasons playing lol
I can't hear the guitar or vocals /:
Alex looks like Mac Miller with that beard lol.
Metal miller lmao. RIP to the goat
Ho ho ho, merry fucking christmas!
Dat stomp was so fucking tight! 2:42

Pablo has a drier sound than Alex. It is pretty easy to tell
thegodthathatesall how can he not tell the differnce
they probably use both lows for certain parts.
Pablo wearing the shirt of the Mexican selection
YEAH ARRIBA MÉXICO
You change camera angels way too much
I know, the video is more than 7 minutes long.
clearly you've never taken any video classes or have any knowledge of videography at all...
Nate C I have. And this video clearly gave me a headache.
Bruce Alves go back to watching vertical cell phone videos bro. They are way better than mine. Just one angle.
Low StringTV you should have moved the camera to the audience too...
anyway awesome video and Sound Quality :)
those are some badass amps
I love these guys
I FUCKING LOVE CHELSEA GRIN
Awesome
i remember them being super shitty on other live vids but they dont sound too bad here, im going to be seeing them in march so i need to see what im working with here haha, crazy to think they came out when i was still in highschool....now im 21...time flies
I just realized at 3:00 he pulls the mic away from his far and you can still hear screaming
No, that's pablo
They're the best
5:06 I think the guy wearing white vans shirt is Stephen. 😅
"thank you"
best fucking set ever
ur mom
"Angels Shall Sin, Demons Shall Pray" the Only Song i liked from the new Album :/ Miss those heavy Guitar riffs and Those brutal Growls :(
The whole album leaked and it kicks fucking ass don't worry
this is probably the worst song on the album imo lmfao
Gonçalo Ramos Worst? The worst is Sellout.
embie I said imo, and Sellout kicks ass, to each his own.
embie I think Sellout is awesome, its heavy, melodic and everything. That's why I pretty much like every song on Ashes To Ashes. In my opinion they perfectly combine that melodic stuff and the heaviness (:
holy shit i miss this

Adam BenMoussa Spot on man!
Erich Bourassa i know who they are lol. and I'm talking about as a whole. Their really isn't a screamer like Alex in any other band. and a drummer who writes above average parts and also scams? cmon dude
this is badass i cant wait to see them in december. itll be badass
They are guitar gods..
on every vans warped tour video the instruments are always messed up, it mainly the sound people, the don't make the guitars loud enough, especially in the motionless in white set it's mainly all the bass guitar...
No moshing
You mosh
You get hurt
We get sued
No more warped tour
Yea that turned out so well
Perfect!
All I can hear are cymbals crashing, this is frustrating bc they don't have a lot of live performances recorded ugh
2:55 very left did the guitarist drop his pick or something?
Looks like Mitch Lucker when he stomp like that!!😱💕
Just pause at 4:00
When they stated to play playing with fire was when it got good
Ameonna bring the rain!
Vocals are fucking insane
Their new album made me a fan. Shit sounds like party metal. Nice to see a band that is conscious of their stage presence, too.
💖💖💖
And if you see someone standing there, it's your job to shake their hand.
DAT TONE
HOW
Nice BoO cover.
Can someone tell me what is the name of Dan's guitar finish?
Pablo used t-shirt of México?
the drummers vox are pretty fuckin good
LOL @ the "No moshing" sign, "You get sued"......America
Is pablo screaming too?
Since Pablo came in he screams in almost ever song now with Alex
haha nice sounds like alex could use some help. You know with all those harsh screams he does. Kind of ruins his voice, i think.
He's gotten better just saw him yesterday and he killed it he was t warped mass
Larry Newingham i agree with you. i think it was a GREAT idea for the band to do it that way. opens them up to so many more possibilities they can do with songs and what not. makes them better live give alex a little break haha
Why do they have three guitarists?
Alex looks like Mac Miller in this video lolol
October 2017
RAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWR.....thank you... lmao 7:19
have they always had three guitarist cause i thought they only had jake and jason?
tyler martinez they've always had 3 guitarist, the third one is dan and he's been around for a while he just doesn't always tour with them, but he's always there for warped tour
Anyone know what tremolos do they use?
2:43 hot damn
i think alex voice now is better than before
where can i get jeans that the small leg openings like his?
Cut some jeans open
what is their current guitarist doing standing there? friend?
Little late on this, but i notice he's wearing a walkie talkie piece so its most likely that he was a crew member before joining the band, possibly a guitar tech
I would kill for Jake's Music Man. That finish along with the black hardware is pure sex.
1:57 !!!!
Everyone saying that their guitars are lame, this video has a bass, so check out the actual fucking song.
anyone know where he get his Jean
Fucking hell Alex looks different
Whats the second song called?
Playing with Fire
3:59
Thumbnail at 3:59
tupac and snoop LOL shirt
Any idea on what guitar Jason has here?
Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty
It's a JP model but not the Majesty, JP11 or something.
Koroar it's a bfr
Its a Ernie Ball MusicMan JP13 to be exact.
Goals
Why's the whole band rocking JP models lol. Pretty sure Jason's the only one using it for what it's worth. The rest of the band could've gotten by with 6-string baritones (like WTR did for their first two albums) and no one would be able to tell the difference.
can some explain this to me cause im a little bit lost: alex still does lows correct? cause to me it seemed like Pablo did all the lows after the evolve ep? like it really confuses me

OverTeamPlay & Kalevi it really confuses me. cause I've been listening to them since ashes of Eden and I really enjoy their music
+Wynter Darkblood wait ashes of eden?
Kenna Barkdull I got the names mixed up my bad
That means you need to watch their live shows more or just music videos. Clears out that stuff you're struggling with.
Quit focusing on the other players its all about dat Jason
true, the bass is too loud for sure
