Always has been, always will be.
it is art ❤
I’d venture to say great. 👍
6:14 in the Skitch videos says it's already there.
We need way more of these kind of products. As we all know, cycling is getting REALY EXPENSIVE. It's not helped by all the bike channels hawking all the brand name stuff. Of course, the brand name stuff is GREAT. But usually, I can't afford great. So "good" has to do.
Great video.
I like all the gear
Dude, you can't imagine how much I'm in love with your editing.
Pace and energy of your videos are just awesome 😍
This is genuinely "wanna be him when I grow up" moment.
My Man! You have just made my day! Much Love #Humbled
Sheesh, buy him dinner first.

Impressed with your down hill road skills, the motor bike never dropped you,but bro ,the amount of glasses you wear leaves me speechless, proper fashionista!!

This is refreshingly non-elitist cycling content.
Awhile back I watched your video for the Fizik adaptive (specialized power mirror, Selle italia 3d) - great content, but it left me looking at these copycat saddles, doubting that they were comparable.
This video was like someone giving me permission to try something I’ve been thinking about for weeks.
Used the link, and did the TH-cam things.
Thank you!!!
Update: bought this and put a little 50 miler on it today, and my grundle didn’t approve. Gonna keep adjusting and how it breaks in. Not revolutionary comfort, though.
THank you for the uplifting words of support. I am Honored to be able to help along your journey
When it comes to Chinese knockoffs, it’s usually not the appearance or function that lacks, it’s the quality control that worries me. I’ve seen enough videos of how easily they bend, break or snap to not trust my skin and bones with them.
@@izzly42 how has it been? did it get any better?
Very enjoyable video and thanks for the sweet licks at the end. I do wonder if you might do a follow up after you've used the bootleg for a while, it seems like most bike seats have a breaking in period. And a saddle can be v comfortable for a 2 hour ride but get completely uncomfortable on a 4 hour ride!
Separately I would be super curious to see a behind the dusty scenes vid where you breakdown all the million places you stash cameras around Portland, but actually you should never do that video because I enjoy imagining there's a team of 15 camera people/drones following you around everywhere you bike.
Ah hem the team is 27
😂🤣
Great call on the saddle. I’ll continue to run this thing and see how it holds up and feels over the miles.
if you need a $450 saddle you should be good enough not to have to pay for it yourself
😂🤣😭 poetic brilliance
Yeah. your girlfriend will buy for you.
@@Saltydog547no I mean your sponsor would pay for it because you are a pro rider or top amateur. But manufacturers like to mix in some snake oil into their pricing
@@Saltydog547 😁
And why rely on someone to hopefully sponsor you one saddle, when you can just have a better career and buy one for each of your 10 bikes?
FYI 7x9 rails will fit most droppers. You only need to worry about rail dimensions on side clamp seatpost like many specialized posts. “Normal” post that clamp from top to bottom can fit round or oval rails
100% true. I run a 7x9 saddle on my fox transfer
Came here to make sure this was said. Only thing to check is that the bolts are long enough (most are)
What distance did you ride the knock-off saddle? Need at least a hunsky to really know how a saddle performs.
The POV segments at the end are the best reward for an already rewarding video.
It’s like the end of skate videos from back in the day.

Talent is making a video about a knockoff bike saddle so incredibly engaging. The script, scenery, music, framing, just wow Dustin ❤

I like the self awareness comment 😂. I ride with a “Da Brim” on one of my helmets and let’s just say it’s a +10 Bike Dork buff, but -10 to your charisma 😂😅
Cinamtography and music banging.
The bomb though, DK’s personality and wit. Always something in each video that makes me laugh.
Truly appreciate the uplifting words. 🤜❤️🤛
the bicycle industry needs a wake up call and needs to stop ripping people off.
All industries are ripping people off lol.
I bought a fake first, and thought it was so good a got the original. I now started buying original Chinese 3d saddles, Ryet is fantastic. I have to many bikes to be dropping 400 dollars of saddles.
How does bucklos compare to Ryet one?
@@jonhaldathe ryet that I have isn't really a sworks mirror copy. I have 5 different types of the 3d ryet saddles.. My lightest one is 130g and heaviest is 157. One of the saddles I don't like. It's to wide for my sit bones. I actually don't use the power mirror anymore b/c of weight. I'll probably put it on my trainer bike
@@kimwarner6050 Which Ryet model would you recommend overall? I don't mind weight I'm only looking for comfort . I also heard EC90 model is really good, have you tested it?
love the vid, great to have people in the space who can be honest about this type of stuff
Best soundtrack over YT! Hey DKlein, can you share some playlists with us?❤
what s the song title pls?
'Content creator' is an abused term, I wish it was used only for actually creative people, such as DKlein.
Loved the video but the one question I have about printed saddles is…. Do they wear through bike shorts faster than saddles with smooth tops?
I already go through bib shorts way faster than I’d like 😅
Hmmm.....Might have to give this saddle a go! The Specialized saddle is a little too rich for my tastes :)
Another awesome video and your taste in music is so damn satisfying!
Always entertaining! I just watched the video a second time after eating a tub of ice cream! Now to make a bootleg video of your video if I can only find my glasses. 🤓
Thanks, great content! Just one question about the saddle width: Matte and glossy seem to have different dimensions, while matte being on the wider side. Do you also have the wider version of the S-Works saddle?
both feel like crap don't be fooled by the any of it 3d printed saddles hurt
Well... i dreaded that this day would come... my bootleg saddle has "broken". It still looks good the rails are good, the carbon shell also, is just the 3d "knit" that gave up in the places where my sit bones touch the saddle, it even sounds crunchy when y press.... so well... after a lot of hours in the saddle specially using it indoors it has died, 5 months of use for me.
DO NOT BUY THIS SADDLE if you expect anything even close to the original S-Works Power Mirror one. It is NOT A BARGAIN!
I rode the 3D-1 (143 mm) for 2x 25 km yesterday (about 100 min of commuting in total) and absolutely DO NOT SUPPORT the statements ("you get 90% of the original S-Works Mirror", etc.) made in this video. The 3D printed matrix of the Bucklos saddle does not fulfil any specific sit bone support function except for looking great from my point of view. I felt not comfortable after switching to the Bucklos from the original one on a consecutive day for the same commuting ride. Basically, it is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SADDLE.
In the central saddle support area of the Bucklos saddle, where your sit bones should be located, you can easily push the 3D matrix down to the saddle's carbon shell with your pointing finger. This is impossible with the original one even with a lot of force applied with your thumb. Consequently, you will experience significantly less stress relief on your sit bones, what is actually the concept of the 3D print with the original one. On the Bucklos saddle, the main stress on the sit bones is punctually produced by the underlying carbon shell, while the 3D matrix is not stiff enough to generate any relevant stress distribution on your sit bones. I am highly confident that my statement can be easily verified by a saddle stress measurement as it is common in bike fitting nowadays.
I have the original S-Works Power Mirror saddle with carbon rails (bought it for ~280 EUR in a German bike shop) as a basis for my comparison and bought the Bucklos one from my "risk capital" for another bike just out of curiosity (my Bucklos is 10 g lighter for those interested in that). So, yes, the original one was indeed about 3.5 times more expensive for me. This is a lot of money to spend for a saddle, no question. But the Bucklos saddle is definitely not a bargain in terms of its 3D printed matrix functionality.
I am also not 100% happy with the original one, as it is too wide between the central and saddle nose part for me, potentially causing leg rubbing on long rides (4 hours+) as you become more tired. May be the Romin is a better alternative if you want to stick with S-Works.
If you are not willing to spend this amount of money, there are plenty of alternatives (Fizik, Selle Italia, SQLab, just to name a few producers). Most saddle discomfort issues results from a poor or absent bike fit, especially saddle height, inclination and setback) and will not be resolved by 3D printed saddles.
@DustinKlein_ Great video editing work. Thanks a lot for your efforts and keep the great work up.
Disclaimer: I did not receive any funding from Specialized for posting this comment.
Great comment, seems weird there are so many positive opinions thought. And people have also tested the original and found out it's similar. EC90 is similar but has a lot of positive reviews.
What’s the song at the end?
Interesting video! I see it’s now 9 months old. Have you been using this saddle for the full 9 months? How is it holding up? Is it still worth the money?
Yes 100% think this is worth it.
Hey Dustin. It’s been 6 months since this video. Can we get an update on the saddle.?
I love it and want to order 2 more for other bikes.
What kind of time frame for comfort have you tested. Many a saddle feel great up to around 1.5 - 2 hours... after that is when it matters!!!!!!!!!!
So have you ridden this pony for 3+ hour rides yet, and...? Thanks for the vid... (I think). This just might send me down another saddle rabbit hole ;-)
🕳🐇
Nothing saddle related to share, just wanted to say I bought my first gravel bike a week ago, going from 700x28 fixed to 650x2.2 1x11. Haven't stopped giggling since.
Enjoy it!!!!!
like wise man. makes you feel like a kid so much gnarrrrrrrrr
Wait untill you try a full sus level of comfort =)
I'm torn about counterfeit products like this. 1 company puts in the R and D to bring something to market and another company just copies it. I also like to save money though.
What is the song at the end???
I bought one too - slightly different. It was really light, but ride comfort not quite as good as my stock generic seat.
An update on the 3d saddle: I've just returned from mexico, where i put 90 miles on it over one ride, all gravel, lots of cobbles, and it's still as good as new. It was definitely a smooth ride and allowed me to ride longer.
So far, about 200 miles on the seat total
How do you deal with dust and dirt
The saddle’s cool and all but MAN… the editing of this video. Superb 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks a ton!
Most entertaining cycling content on TH-cam. Keep up the great work DK.

Specialized spent all the money & time doing the research. The knock off while great is a best attempt copy cat. They take a few pictures & the computer creates a template. Just giving respect to the original research....
Totally feel you on this.
Bootleg stuff is a very fascinating subject not good but not always bad either.
I love your video !!!! For those you wants to buy the fake one : i got a real one (but titanium rails) ,the same fake one, and the power model (no 3D). Well, the fake one is not a little less comfy for me, it's way less comfy. The nose part is very firm, whereas on the Specialized it's very soft. That makes (to me) a huge the difference. The real mirror wins for me, heads down. That said... Did specialized realize how stupid it is to sell a saddle for 450$ ???
Well they sell their handlebar for 600$. They milk the fuck out of their road bike dentist customer. It’s ridiculous.
People will pay the big bucks for a cush tush.
Is it stupid to Sell a saddle for 450$ or stupid to buy one?
@@choanlpotohandlebar prices mystify me. I know there’s a surprising amount of work involved with designing a drop bar; but I still don’t grasp how one aluminum drop can be $60 and another, still aluminum, can be over $300.
@@namebrandmasonI even got some 30$ alu handlebars on top end bikes 😂
considering most droppers are top/bottom clamp 7x9 oval rails work fine, i run spesh carbon rails on the droppers on my trail bike and my gravel bike
Lol you about to get them sued but I'm tempted to try Ali' now.
Sue a Chinese company in China?
Hahaha. Good luck with that.
@@Qlicky Yea i'm kidding of course, but it is Specialized after all...😂
Let’s be frank nothing speshulies sells is worth the money they charge,no matter what they say…

I was 3 minutes into the video when I had to press that "subscribe" button... and I never saw a video before by you... Awesome work, artful! I am excited to see where this will lead me.
Player You Sir just made my day! #Humbled
I may have just purchased 2 of these saddles. 😅. Don’t tell Specialized.
Ali Express is my savior, I saved lots of money on bike saddle, chains , cassette and TPU tubes . Love it !
So, the Authentic one shouldn't cost more than $100 to produce?
Very interesting question!
Both of my droppers support oval 6x9. On my XC race machine I have Power Arc. On my city bike I have even cheaper Chinese seat and it works fine.
I am really liking the POV ending sections at the moment!
The QR code worked, FYI!
No way! LOL thats amazing. Thanks for checking.
Because of your and other videos about this seat I purchased one but sorry didn’t use your link found one on eBay for 50 dollars free shipping. Took 2 weeks from China. Put it on my indoor trainer and took it for a spin so far seems pretty comfortable well worth the 50 bux. Thanks for the content and good information on the seat. 👍
You had me at “statiated” and that sweet SG. Solid. 🤘🏼
I bought 2 and they are fantastic..no complaints and they are great for gravel.
Micro gains... I feel this is the story of bike development kit over the last couple of years at the cost to us. I couldn’t get along with the turbo... in the last 35 years of riding bikes it was the strangest saddle I had ever ridden.
Excellent video. I've been very happy with my RYET 3D printed saddle. I might have to get one of these now.
Loved your videos man! But then i saw that you play a SG😂😂 solid video bud👌🏼
I cant put this axe down!
I ordered the same saddle and the carbon broke after about 10 rides. (Not the rail, but the carbon on which the seat material rests on)
Can not recommend. I only weigh 82kg and didnt do anything crazy just road biking on superb streets.
Where are you riding? It looks beautiful, you should consider yourself lucky.
Durability is key, and by that I really mean will it hold its shape?
Enjoyed the Germantown run. Whether on a bike or a motorcycle, that downhill after Skyline is so pleasurable regardless of the speed bumps. The perfect end.
Seems Cannondale is leaving some sales out there.. They should offer a less expensive version with consistent padding across the entire seat. $100 bux is my max for seats these days.
So when yours arrived, did the package look like a misplaced brick sent from a cartel??I'm sure it raised some eyebrows at customs 😂 Hope you are still digging it!! I'm looking forward to trying my 1st 3D printed saddle!!
Pretty much!
Cheers for a very, very interesting and informative video... I'll be following in your footsteps... Kind regards... Ranj ;-)
Appreciate you Ranj!
Came for saddle stayed for the tunes and colours.
Such a Player!
Dude, Love the music, and the content. Ad oh, I love the music.
flashing light ? seriously ? why do you want to blind ppl on bike comming in the opposie direction ?
do you use flashing light in your car also ?
Another great vid. Who is the little saddle baggie by?
Good call. It’s from here: bit.ly/40wHovk
I have a theory that most brands will have to change after 3D printing evolves. There are already services that you can ask to print things. It will be very easy to pick up a model and sent do print. Much of the development and evolution will come from the hands of big brands and their production capacity and will move towards independent designers and communities.
Which song starts at @6:40 ?
I wanna know too
Man! That POV. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
thanks for the video DK!
Do you possible have a link to one of these in a 155 width?!
You can see if there is a wider one here: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DBdX1qL
I bought this saddle, tried it, sent it back. It sucked.
That sweet Germantown descent :)
The best!
What is the title of the song playing on the POV section??? Please
Still liking/using this saddle??
This clip is Designer approved. ✅
Any tips on sizing? In your other vids i thought you mentioned you are ~140mm rider, but you mentioned buying the 3d1 which is 155mm. This is my first saddle buying experience, i measured at 112mm.
Confused on this as well. It does appear from the product page that the 143mm should have a "glossy bottom" not the "matte bottom".
I bought both sizes clone. The 143 model has a glossy finish and carbon fiber appearance. The 155 mm wide model has a mate bottom finish without carbon fiber layout. In this video the model tested is 155 mm wide with mate bottom finish.
Yea I bought the 143mm and it has the glossy bottom. Seems like a good saddle, an upgrade over my stock road bike saddle for sure. I really appreciate the increased grippiness of the 3D material. I think if I upgrade, I'll aim for the authentic Specialized Power Expert Mirror. I was expecting the same "wow factor" when going from budget bibs to high end bibs, but this saddle didn't provide such a big increase in comfort.
@@zacharykuhns6060overall would you choose this or RYET 3D ? or EC90?
@@jonhalda I really liked this saddle, on paper it seems better than those other ones. The ec90 is so cheap you could just buy it
The real value if most expensive products is reflected in fake ones 😂
Pure brilliance!
I bought the Bootleg too, it's been over 1500 miles and still going great!! Both comfort and agility :)
P.S 6:40 this really is beautiful road!! Where is this? Is it somewhere in Ontario, Canada?
that's Germantown road in Portland, OR - Fall (2024) is coming back now!
you just pan past the Marc Johnson's .. sir we need a single video on those
Im just sayin
Do you have a link for a $68 knockoff of your $400 packable jacket? I know it's probably worth it, I just can't talk myself into it....
This jacket is roughly 1/2 the price and conceivably would last longer because it’s a three layer material. I have one it was just fine. I hope this helps.

Very nice content and never-ending licks.
The difference between shorter rides and a sore ass..
I actually prefer my fake "ec90" ali express specialized power saddle over my original one. It's more squishy and flexible adding to the compliance. I have 3 of them now for all my bikes (except my favorite bike)
I love these. I have several as well
Same, have the non 3d and the are great. Also have had good luck with other Ali 3d and straight plain carbon saddles that ride as well as my Alpitude
5:40 Aha! He made a mistake! He meant to say satiated, because statiated isn’t a word! I am the annoying comment man! I am OBJECTIVELY CORRECT! I am BETTER THAN YOU! -Annoying Comment Man
Personally I would never pay over $400 for a saddle (or $300 for that matter). Same goes for helmets. Now shoes........MAYBE.
What are your thoughts on this Duverge 2016? I had one just like that and it was one of the best bikes I owned... I remember it being SO comfortable and also fast! I moved from that to a Tarmac and (hard to believe) it seemed the diverge 2916 was faster.. I think the geometry of the initial diverge were closer to the "race bikes". Would love your thoughts on this! Your contente is getting better and better BTW! Kudos!
That saddle is 224 grams, so it's heavier then the 180g you spoke on.
They have 3 listed:
The one you have @ 224g/143mm X 245mm
Then a version that is @ 196g/155mm X 240mm
Then finally a cut thru version @ 180g/143mm X 240mm
The one with the complete cut thru is the one that is 180 grams
A cycling review video that's not boring! Nice work.
Thanks! 👍
You are getting what you pay for….your OVERPAYING for the genuine. There’s really no technical reason for that to be a 450 buck saddle…. Other than the logo on it.
Thanks for the hook up with this bootleg.
Worth every penny.

The comment about being self aware of the ridiculous cycling get ups we all go out in. I’ve always said we look whole in the bike, off it…not so much ❤
🤣 someone else had a brilliant comment the further we get from our bike the more ridiculous we look.
The distance is directly proportional to the dorkiness, it’s math! The advent of Athliesure hasn’t helped our cause in casual settings one bit. 😂
I liked the way you dress, it's really expressive
I appreciate you!
If I save up for a year I can get the one for $68
Hi Dustin @DustinKlein_ I’m hoping you can give me some advice on this saddle. Did you buy a 143mm or 155mm (width)? I’m looking to purchase one and I don’t know which to get. It’s for a MTB so my position is fairly upright. Can you recommend one or the other? Thanks for your help.
the end is the cherry on the cake ! Thank you
I would not risk my ass with a super lightweight fake "saddle" And neither spends $450 in the S. I love a nice saddle proper size etc., but max $200
Well, for real it's an exact example of "you get what you paid for".
67$ if an expensive saddle, comparing to the "common" non-premium brands, so why would it be bad?
