How to Replace Audi A3 8P Headlight Bulb

- Replacing drivers side dipped headlight H7 halogen bulb on an audi A3 8P 2010 model. Since it is located in a tight spot and couldn't fit my hand I decided to go the hard way and remove the front bumper and the headlight assembly.

Believe it or not this is the easy way
Today I did it through the wheel arch. Unscrew the 2 screws push the hand and done. With the other hand we support each other from the engine compartment side.
I took the cover off the fuse box and that gives you quite a bit more room, I was able to do it with just having that off, you have to twist pretty hard and I could only do it mostly do it just pushing up on one side of plastic wing but it popped loose, putting in also no problem. Just surprise so many videos making it way more complicated. Take that fuse box cover off!!! mines a 2011 A3 S-Line

You will need to take half bumper off
Did what you with the pumper but there is an another plastic blocking the headlight right behind the pumper whad did you do with that? Or did you rotate the headlight some way?
I want to replace the xenon headlights with these headlights
Will they work or I'll need halogen adapter?
I'm sick of these led and xenon projector
Just finished swapping the bulbs on both sides 10 minutes ago withour removing anything, its really annoying but possibile

Oh, yes I saw it now! The bumper is off... man... that is tricky....
Come in from inside the wheel arch just unscrew the cover and pull it back
Have you unscrewed the bumper completely or partially? Which screws did you unscrew?
Partially, the bolts rear the fender under the bumper on the upside of the grill all of them and is one more kind of hidden that you need a long bit that you can gain access from the wheel arch when things come loose
How on Earth did you remove the headlight?? I see that the bumper is still in its place...
Have you got a video on the removal of the bumper mate?
Not yet but others have there are bolts in the inner fender under the bumper and on the top .The difficult part is a bolt behind the headlight because you need a long extension and must squeeze your hand in there in order to catch the bolt.

Can you do it without removeing the bumper and headlight??
At the passenger side yes it has more room but at the drivers side my hand could not fit maybe some one with small hands can do it.
I can. I made a special tool: it's a piece of wooden bar, cut on one end across to fit a bulb holder. Now you can turn the holder much easier, with your fingers outside the headlamp. If you release four screws keeping headlamp on place it's easier. You can move lamp few centimetres forward. Don't need to remove bumper.
