    super helpful breakdown, thanks. i have read elsewhere that the spring is not a return spring but actually helps keep the clutch pedal down (clutch disengaged). as you demonstrate in your video when you snap it down around 4:30.

    • @M3NACE
      @M3NACE  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah im sure it does both, it snaps the pedal assembly back when you retract.

    This was insanely helpful. I have the return spring break on my car and I had no idea how to put this all back together. Atleast now I know what I need to do. Thanks again

    This does not apply to all e36s and two slide pins that hold the spring are DIFFERENT part numbers. I hope this helps someone before they spend money on parts based on this video.

    3:29 these are not the same part number. I bought two of the same part number on FCPeuro and they do not fit together. Checking realoem, they are two different part numbers. At least for my 98 328i.

    • @M3NACE
      @M3NACE  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So there are 2 different spring setups, i like the OBD2 spring setup better. You can run the OBD1 setup (spear looking thing) if you prefer.

      there might be some small differences due to it being on the other side but I believe the install should be fairly the same. you could look on realoem.com and plug in your year/model and it should give you a schematic of how it all goes together.
