- Here is list of Five of my favourite Battlefield 2 Mods that you should see.
All of them have good Quality and interesting mechanics that the Vanilla BF2 version doesnt have, coming from great and innovative Modders who put a lot of passion in this mods.

I feel like Damocles should be higher than Battle333, as it's much bigger and has more maps and content
I'm a little late to the party, but here's my 10 cents worth. I'm going for at leas tone old mod that's no longer supported, but still play well in Single player.
1 - AIX 2.0
2 - Eve of Destruction (because I love anything Vietnam)
3 - Forgotten Hope 2
4 - Battlegroup 44
5 - Mercenaries Mod v11
6 - Point of Existence 2
7 - Black Ops Mercenaries (Special ops maps only)
8 - Project Reality (too competitive for me)
Unfortunately I haven't played either the Damocles. Battle 333 Mod or the Alpha Project, but will at some point once I've finished playing through the coop maps for Battlefield Vietnam, that I'm presently replaying after several years hiatus from that game. I tend to swap between Battlefield 2, Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 1942 with the occasional foray into Battlefield 2142. Once I've had chance to play each of those three unplayed mods I'll update my list above
I did some beta testing of Battlegroup 44 which was originally going to be called Battlefield 1944 following the modders Battlefield 1943 mod. It's a superb single player WWII mod with a really hot AI. The developers of Forgotten Hope allowed the modder to use all of their assets, with him creating other assets to create a brilliant sequel to Battlefield 1942. When I was testing it it felt like I was playing against human players at times. The modder has created some excellent original maps as well as modified lots of others. When I last counted there were around a hundred + maps for the mod. I highly recommend you check it out if you haven't already.
I used to beta test for several Battlefield 2 modders and Mappers such as Hayabusa, and The Dark 888 back in the day before Battlefield 2142 and later Crysis was released. I still have a virtually finished map that The Dark created, which we were beta testing when he basically disappeared from the scene completely. His web site disappeared and his emails were never answered. The map just needed one little area's in a swamp land below a dam that needed the navmesh adjusting slightly for it to be released. Sadly he never did release it. It was part of a series of maps that were supposed to be connected to one of Hayabusa Mercs mods maps and he was going to create a series of seven maps (called Week of the Dragon I think) of which he only released two of them, with the one he never released being the third in the series.

@@johnsim77 Project Reality an OG BF2 mod, it is a milsim mod, it's successor is the game Squad. Today Project Reality is still being updated with new content and the playerbase is still there

@Geez, people these Days AIX2 and AIX2 Reality do fully support to play with bots, afterall those mods aim are to enhance your singleplayer play, so i recommended them, AIX 2 for more casual BF2 gameplay, while AIX 2 Reality is the merged version of AIX 2 and Project Reality, if you prefer a realistic gameplay, grab this
@Geez, people these Days I built firebird as a single-player mod and then made multiplayer work. Campaign is 100% supported
I just noticed, for alpha project, do you use the custom exe that the mod provides? I think if you use it, your 2x and 4x scopes would have Picture in Picture image and even greater zoom. Looks very cool.

@@Freedomlander_101 Alpha Project can be installed as standalone I believe, and it comes with its own launcher too. If you use the launcher to launch the game, it will launch using the included bf2ml.exe, not bf2.exe. I think that bf2ml.exe was used by the team to bypass some hardcoded limitations. Not sure though, I'm not really a modder.
But using that exe activates the PiP for the scopes.

My problems in Damocles Mod(probably from how I installed the mod): the Doritos thing is not there, it just a square, often crashes... I use vanilla BF2
Also the console fonts is not there..

Depends, i used a lot of them like the Great wall map, operation blue Pearl, gulf of Oman...
AIX allowed us to have large 64p maps with bots which is what drew me in. Any other mods allow this?

The best BF2 mod is NWM mod for AIX, then Zone of Continuous Fire.
In Alpha Project, how are you able to show the reticle for the red dot sights and holographic sights? They don't show for me at all.
You mean the customization? Or the holographic sight color change?
@@Freedomlander_101 Whenever I choose to have the red dot sights or holographic sights on my weapons the reticles don't show at all for me. Is there a way to make it visible? I saw that you used your cursor to activate the reticle.
@@Victor-ge7qm turn the HUD options all the way up. That may be causing it

From these videos and mods I understand the fanbase's hunger for DICE and the Battlefield brand
dice really made some of the best games of my childhood/teenage years. i spent many nights playing battlefield 1942 with the secret weapons expansion, remember getting hyped AS FUCK waiting for battlefield vietnam to drop (everytime i hear fortunate son i think of the BFV teaser trailer), having to buy a new computer to enjoy BF2, etc. the dice era of battlefield games blows this newer shit out of the water

If you know how to import maps, BATTL333 will be the best mod. (I do BTW) Otherwise, it will not be that good since map/mod options are very limited there.

Damocles mod is really good but its such a shit show to get it up and running and have it stable
I never had Any crashes on It before
I crashed so mucheven after installing every single patch and doing what the creator said. But then again, it was said that it wasnt tested on every system. I guess it is simply unstable on my system
@@bearsgaming6364 yep, even if you follow the instructions to a pixel perfect accuraccy It crashes.
I think we just have to wait a little while till the mod is more stable and polished
I was wondering, do all these mods change the vehicle's control,cuz i really hate the helicopters control style it's very hard to turn and if u turn too much u just come crashing down
At first its really hard to control but you get used to It afterwhile, and nope It doesn't.
Firebird has different handling on many helicopters in the mod that make it easier to fly, but practice makes perfect!
