Great vlog. We were there the weekend after and the travellers were there again. They were all gone by the Saturday but the gates remained locked. Lovely site with friendly wardens.
Hi, always keen to see the cycle options from the sites you stop at. One of the things we always look forward are the cycling options, really enjoy cycling old railways and canal routes.
Tonight’s video will be a cycle one and they’ll be another one in a few weeks which was filmed as a stand alone rather than splitting like this particular video, going forward we will continue to film them separately as not everyone enjoys them.
A lovely route , it’s years since we were at Poolsbrook the area looks rejuvenated. Our Poppy is the same , needs to be in front or she kicks off. Seasons greetings H and M
Thanks for this. We're collecting our very first campervan next month and starting to think about which clubs to join. 😂 Neil calls it 'cooking lager'! Thanks for sharing N&Nx
Not been to Poolsbrook for years, didn't get in the CV but did it with the wobble box when the kids were young. Was it just "the one black swan" 😂. Clubs and fees - definitely a personal choice and that what makes everyone different. Food looked nice.
Worthies is a good pint if it's been kept properly but I much prefer a cask ale. CCC will be the only club for us. CMHC are just too expensive, I never got to use our free night as we were in Spain and the membership elapsed before we came back. Cheers K.
Not a bad looking site and area. A few years back my night rate limit was £15 for a CL and there were loads to choose from. Now it's not easy to find one less than £20. Strangely my wages have not gone up by a third as well....
Exactly! This is why we rally a lot, there are certain places we have to pay a premium and that’s just how it is but anything over £25 a night is a disgrace in my opinion.
Lovely black swan, a nice walk. Why do breweries think they need to make all the pubs look the same. We were lucky enough to have two in our little village, however one is owned by a brewery whose beer is not popular to say the least, it’s 17th c so they tarted it up to look like a bistro but, they cannot keep landlords, 7 at the last count in the 11 years we’ve been here because of the beer. It’s been closed for nearly 2 years now. So sad. The other one fortunately is excellent.
We’re from a famous brewery town (probably the most famous) and we’re spoiled although there’s loads less now, unfortunately this trip was definitely one of the worst beer ones for me! Luckily the food was ok and I was genuinely excited to see the black swan 👍

The wardens were nice, shame the travellers seem to spoil it there!
It looked a lovely site and great for cycling. Take care Gill
Thanks Gill, yeah bar the poor beer selection it was very enjoyable 👍
Beautiful swans🤩 Nice campground. Safe travels, my friends 😊💕👍🤗
Thanks as always 🙏 yes we were very fortunate to see the black swan and the site was nice too 👍
Nice place the pub did look nice as did the food ❤
Food was lovely, beer not so much 🤣 thanks for watching 👍
That black swan was beautiful. The pub looked lovely from the outside but bland on the inside, good job the food was good to make up for it ...😄
Exactly! Less said about the beer the better 🤣 I did like the swan tho!

Yeah it was a nice ride, the local town was a bit run down mind, cheers for watching ❤️

All lager is not my thing… very occasionally I’ll have one but I prefer non gassy stuff on hand pull, exited to see the IH soon!
@RickandHeather so are we!!

We liked the site although probably once is enough I think as the beer was disappointing, the Black Swan was a highlight tho!

A bit creamy for me but yes cask is best. We only stick with CAMC for the CL’s but unsure if we’ll bother once it runs out

Each to their own but “Medium Rare”…..! 🤔
