On the doc martens point try a brand called Solovair. They're high quality boots and unlike docs are still handmade in the UK in the same factory that docs used to be made in. The stitching is far more neutral too. They're kind of like the distinguished father of docs
lmao I actually love it when shoes make my feet look a lil big headed bc they’re usually more comfortable to wear and seeing small feet on me lowkey makes me dysphoric 😅

When you described those boots as duckish I felt so seen, oh man. The number of boots I’ve rejected cause the shape is just a little off is too many to count. About a year ago I found my perfect pair of basic under-the-radar butch boots, fleece lined, still bloody love them.

Jade check out Thursday Boot Co.; I’m planning on getting the Ryder. Idk of they’re bulky enough for your aesthetic but I like their neutrality as far as not leaning too moto/western/dressy etc.

I was in the same position with Doc Martens, and the Pascal leather boots specifically. I wanted a basic, black boot, wasn't sure about the Doc Martens because of the yellow seam but they were too comfortable to pass up and the yellow thread put them more into the 'casual' category, which is what I was after. Point of the story, I too am a queer person with Doc Martens statistic.
Boots are awesome i love and hate them i have an high arch and getting a high arch foot in a boot is like trying to push a big ass into a pair of jeans once your in its all good but getting in is a struggle

I think the shape they use for the all black (mono) doc's is different than the Pascal shape. I'm sure Dr. Martens would tell you different if you asked, but pretty much everyone who tries them on thinks they look different.
If anyone is looking for Dr. Martens type shoes that don't have the yellow stitching or you just need a half size, Solovair is one of the companies that made docs in the past. They cost more than the docs, but the quality is a bit better too. Their astronaut boots are my favs.

Love the idea of tall boots but I always struggle with my calves not fitting because they are quite muscular. Do these Regret boots offer any stretch above the ankle? Also do you always tuck in whatever pants you're wearing? How do you avoid getting massive jockey vibes?
they do, but i don’t stretch them out too much. i do think they’d stretch over time - i just don’t wear them super often. and i don’t tuck them in all the time, i just wear them with cropped pants mostly
Is it total heresy to suggest taking a permanent black marker to the yellow stitching?
I raised an eyebrow when I saw the Ann D. boots because I have a very similar pair. I rarely wear them because they're a bit snug and even a 2" heel is a bit much for me, plus I was never crazy about the square toe. The Ann D.'s look really nice, though, so I'm going to go take another look at mine now. I'm curious to see how close the style is and what the label is. And oh, yeah, I got them at Goodwill for $8, I think.

Wow not much seems to have changed. Didn't all the Rose and Rosie of the gay TH-cam world wanted to help black creaters? And here nothing has changed. Your channel still does not show up on my feed unless I search for it. I am white myself but this is rediculous. Cammie has really put some effort to change but most others have not. What a shame.
