I'm new to SL and I've been having a lot of problems with how to make my avi. I had a friend who helped me choose some free gifts from creators to make my avi looking good but they were not really that great of teachers. Didn't really explain to me why I was putting and taking off some things so your videos have helped me a lot even when I'm creating a female avi. Thanks a lot for the great information you're sharing, keep it up

Well, even though Im not currently in the market for new shapes or skins, I still had fun watching this video (always on the outlook for what's new out there in mens' fashion!) I admit I had to LOL when I first spotted the Timothée at Skin Fair but I will also be the first to admit that if they ever release a Chris Evans, I will create an alt so fast it will make your LeLutka head spin. Do you see more celebrity skins in the future?
Hey Dean, always happy to offer some inspiration! I agree about the Timothée skin - originally I thought it was a gimmick! But I was impressed by the similarity when I tried it. I've seen a few celebrity skins like Jason Mamoa and Mariah Carey. Chris Evans would definitely sell out!
If you're doing the Dad bod, you might want to try the Jake belly made by Frisky. I know there isn't any clothing for it that would go well unless it's big open shirt/top, it is Dad bod like.
Another great video Boston. Lots of great 'how to's' and information for the male avatars. I just got the LeL Noa head and testing lots of skins. BTW, Not Found is one of my favorite skin creators. Davec Horsforth.

SL Name is Mikonos Vayandar. Excellent video! I like Not Found skins, tend to use the Hinti tone. When I saw that tattoo from Garden of Ku at the Event, I bought it in 2 seconds flat. Was cool seeing it in your video. Got my first tat from them in 2008, they've been around a while.
I headed to the skin fair excited to spend some money on a new look, but after 15 min of endless woman's shops with a men's shop now and then I got bored and left spending nothing. Why is it so hard to put all the men's and unisex shops all in one place? Dept stores learned 100 years ago make the men's stuff the easiest to find.
Amazing variety of looks. It is always a surprise to me how a facial hair could do so much with the look and character to the avatar. The skin creators you featured have all their distinct looks and the quality are amazing. I look forward to that 'Dad-Bod' avi hehe, though I would imagine that it won't be that typical dad bod look...it'd be still garnering second or third looks. I'll be running out of thumbs to offer, but I'd find ways to collect some more! But here, enjoy the remaining ones I have: 👍👍👍👍👍I immensely enjoyed every minute of watching this video! Hi Boston - I know you are a big fan of Not Found skin but the issue I have is that a I can see the neck join line on my Avi - body skin and head skin are from NF and both are the same tone. I tried playing with a few wind lights but no joy - You mentioned something about layers. Please advise with any tips. Thanks
What head and body do you have? It's also been happening to me recently when I'm wearing Legacy Athletic with Lelutka EvoX heads. And isn't specific to a skin brand. I dont know why its happening tbh
@@BostonB Hi Boston - thank you for your reply. I have a Lelutka Evo X head with a Maitreya Body. I have a legacy body and the same issue occur when I wear the legacy body. It’s not a major issue but I have bad OCD so it irritates me at times. So I adjust my lighting and disappears for awhile.

I really enjoy your videos, but they don't seem very useful to me since I'm new with 0 linden dollars and everything cost lindens. I don't even know how to make lindens so am I virtually a poor homeless (and ugly avatar) guy in the virtual world of SL. I remember SL from many, many years ago, and it seemed so much easier then than it does now.
Hey thanks for your messages - I read both of them. I completely understand your point of view, and yes there's no denying that creating premium looking male avatars costs some lindens. Female avatars tend to have more low-cost alternatives. There are still some cheap options for Men and perhaps I can cover that in another video. Perhaps you could learn to create something in Second Life, or provide a service to earn lindens. Many people do that as an income.
all the hair for men i have seen in sl is to ugly to use so i end up using my truth hair that is 9 years old i have lost count of how many demos i have tried in the 2 weeks i even went to the hair store you talked about in you videos all the hair their was the top of the head only it looks awful guess im doing something wrong putting on a hair base did not help with the missing sides and back oh well

I really enjoy your videos, but they don't seem very useful to me since I'm new with 0 linden dollars and everything cost lindens. I don't even know how to make lindens so am I virtually a poor homeless (and ugly avatar) guy in the virtual world of SL. I remember SL from many, many years ago, and it seemed so much easier then than it does now.
Hey thanks for your messages - I read both of them. I completely understand your point of view, and yes there's no denying that creating premium looking male avatars costs some lindens. Female avatars tend to have more low-cost alternatives. There are still some cheap options for Men and perhaps I can cover that in another video. Perhaps you could learn to create something in Second Life, or provide a service to earn lindens. Many people do that as an income.
all the hair for men i have seen in sl is to ugly to use so i end up using my truth hair that is 9 years old i have lost count of how many demos i have tried in the 2 weeks i even went to the hair store you talked about in you videos all the hair their was the top of the head only it looks awful guess im doing something wrong putting on a hair base did not help with the missing sides and back oh well
Try Dura aswell. They have hair which fills the back and sides
