Bangladesh does have one of the most advanced and latest variant of the Chengdu J7/F7, that is the F-7BGI. Unlike other J7s and MiG-21s, the F-7BGI's max speed is Mach 2.2, and and Western Incorporated radars. The Yakovlev Yak-130 is not just a modern trainer, it is also capable of performing Striker/Attack role, as it has 3 hardpoints on each wing. Bangladesh has confirmed the purchase of 8 Boeing AH-64K Apache helicopters and there are some speculations that BAF may produce its own fighter jets based on the Chengdu F-7 design. BAF Already freshly overhauled a FT-7BG. But, we really need more advanced aircraft, like the MiG-29M/SMT, Su-27, J-10C and the confirmation of 2 squadrons of JF-17s should boost BAF's capabilities.

BAF uses the MIG 29 which has obsolete avionics, radars and limited fuel capacity. It has no BVR combat ability. They will be blown out of the skies in no time.
