What's to be grateful about? He skipped over the most requested characters in favor of terrible character designs that don't even have characters attached to them, most of whom are just there so he can pretend he's playing as himself. He crunched employees repeatedly to add content no one asked for & then hyped it up & spent the better portion of one trailer making fun of the would-be customers for not wanting to spend their money on it. Plus there were season passes involved & marketed to kids.

Shantae would have been a candidate for being a Zelda Echo Fighter. That's how good is this mod. Other than the "Zelda" still in her icon and damage display, this is great. Perfect use of the Half-Genie Hero stage complete theme as her victory music. The subtle physics, though.
Shantae was done so dirty when she was reduced to being nothing but a Mii Costume in Smash Bros Ultimate. She should've been a playable character in a similar way to how this mod plays.

Sans has his Gaster Blaster and bones that he uses on the player, while the Cup Brothers fire different types of blaster fire from their finger tips. Shantae on the other hand, has a combination of close ranged and long ranged attacks, with her most iconic method of attacking is using her hair has a whip.
While I'm aware this is just a modded Zelda w/ Custom Animations, part of me was sorta just expecting the Clone/Echo treatment and kinda wanted to see, say, Shantae being able to crawl. And have a Unique Down B. That being said, I do appreciate the effort put into this mod, and am merely giving some 2 Cents.

Its a nice looking mod, and probably the best that can be done with current modding capabilities, but it doesn't feel complete without her dances/transformations.
I actually think that Shantae’s Final Smash should be Risky crashing into the background with her ship and Shantae jumps into the background to fight the pirate as the ship continuously fires cannonballs at the stage as it moves forward before quickly going back to where it started from and repeats the process and the cannonballs are hard to dodge due to them covering the entire stage and size. Shantae meanwhile is attacking the ship. After the cycle has been completed three times, the ship blows up and sends Risky flying off screen screaming and Shantae says, “And don’t come back!” Also her transformations really should be a part of her move set as they are an important part of her games other than Pirate’s Curse.

i see the custom animations got a some big clean up from the first ever time i saw this project. especially her idle stance. that used to look really "not correct".
i would have loved her as a true fighter instead of a costume, we had a lot of moves to chose, from animal transformations, to risky's weapons and even pure magic, hopefully someone will make a mod of her with her original moveset
If someone was to take the cloud and apply Pikachu's thunder where it lands instead of the phantom knight attack, that would be cool, or Sora's thunder
