      this is all relative to the vehicle applications so you should speak with Tein or get your instructions to determine what the preload needs to be. Usually it's very minimal on Tein.

    Awesome video!! Need help on an information hard to find. I'm looking to raise my MX5 NC that has Flex Z's installed, currently at lowest setting. I know how to do it but the trick question is what is the minimum insertion I need to keep in the lower mount? I don't seem to have a lot of range, but can I have only 1/4 in or 1/2 inch?

    @zevcentric Is the preload measurement ~245mm accurate for the RWD cars as well? I noticed the reference values are a bit different in the manual. I asked Tein and they said preload should be set close to zero but that setting doesn't work well.

    Is it possible to upgrade the springs to a higher spring rate? I have Lexus ISF and would like to move the fronts from 8kg to 14kg using RSR Ti2000 springs

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unlikely due to valving. You also need to match spring dimensions. This is a question for tein.

    What do you think of the overall build quality of these for daily driving compared to MPP or UPP?

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally different price points tbh. A lot depends on your desired ride heights and so forth. Can't really make a blanket statement. The MPP adjustables are stainless steel so they will withstand winters better for example.

    • @zevcentric

      @@TeslaSoCal they do settle a good half inch since the time they are new. Suspension bushings should also be torqued under load. It can be attributed to wither of those or both. We always notify our clients up front of this and that suspension height needs to be reset once the springs have settled and a second alignment.

      Not sure. It's gonna be quite low though and the rear spring perch isn't even set. We always change it right out of the box to our own values. If you purchase from us and give us an idea where you want the car to be we can share those values.
