- MOW GONE WRONG
The surprise MOW did not go as planned. A lady called and asked if I can help her surprise the gentleman that lives in this property with a yard cleanup of his backyard (front yard wasn’t bad). He’s been in the hospital for sometime, no one was maintaining the yard and he’s coming home Wednesday, the day after this cleanup (recording). I did not expect anyone that day but the the homeowner came home for a visit before the day he was supposed to be released from hospital.

This would be such a relief for the gentleman. Imagine being ill and frail and worrying about your backyard. I want to send him good wishes.

No one could guess a patient would come home early. A worry of theirs was instantly resolved. The yard had become unnavigable, particularly if someone was frail. Refinding the basic features and getting things cleared to a normal walking level was really important. Thank you for your work. That was thoughtful of you to clean up the bottom tree suckers/branches. Enjoyed your before and after pictures. A nice result.

You would think one of these women should know how to use a lawnmower and weed eater and lawn shears?? Guess not. I would just have to risk breaking a fingernail to clean up the lawn for my beloved father, grandfather or my uncle who's been weakened in the body.
@@mariacambre8971 Those women were nurses and caregivers, not family. I would much rather have them take care of me than trying to do my yardwork. Totally different job skills.

You can tell that this gentleman took pride in his yard. While it was overgrown, the lawn reminded me of golf course. Meaning, more grass than weeds. Not a lot of trash or debris, not a lot of piled up bits of discarded furniture, shopping carts, and so forth. I saw that with many yard work after Covid lockdowns . Not being judgmental. You did this man a great service.

I cut grass when I was a teenager and know how much work is involved. Now that I am old and falling apart and have spent more than my fair share in and out of the hospital I empathize with this gentleman. You have done a magnificent job and blessed him with your generosity! Thank you ❤️

The "nurses" would actually be occupational therapists making sure he could operate in his home environment safely. As a therapy assistant its part of my job to assist with that sort of thing and loan any equipment (shower chairs, walkers etc) that he may require
