What? Yes it is. Listen to the mournful tone of it. Look at it's incredibly depressing lyrics. Sorrow is one of the most bleak and depressing songs since The Wall album.
@@the-NightStar One of the most amazing things about Pink Floyd is that they can sing some really dark and depressing lyrics, but David's guitar will always lift your spirits
I think I’ve decided that he’s my favorite guitarist…just so much emotion in it. You guys NEED to check out Comfortably Numb from this concert. Even if you’ve done the studio version, this live version is something to see.
One of my favourite songs ever, so haunting and melodic. Gilmore has a fantastic voice, his guitar work is beyond words and the words are just brilliant.
That big beautiful sound between the sound machine you only get playing in a concert hall. There is nowhere you can play your music this loud and magical outside a concert hall. If you quit you never get that thrill playing for the sound of it again, a love for your instrument never dies. You get old and it torments you till you pass..
*Welcome to the world of live music by real musicians the way it should be, you should check out Comfortably Numb live sense you had such a connection to the studio version as we all did. Rock On!! PEACE ✌*
54 year old white guy here. Been watching your reaction videos for 4 hours now! Started with bill burr. Now Pink Floyd, i stongly suggest GREAT GIG IN THE SKY. Make sure you listen to the (only) words in the beginning. Will explain what song is about. Your emotional reactions to other songs have prepared you for this.
Pink Floyd does a weird combination of haunting guitar, heartbreaking lyrics, and just the grooviest, head noddingest rhythm and bass. It somehow works.
Saw them live in Sydney in 1985 with 5 of my older brothers. I had a broken leg from playing rugby and had to sit in the aisle but my brothers fixed me up with a couple of doobies so I wasn't in pain, best concert I've ever been to. Love from Australia.
I got chills when I heard this tune for the first time back in 94 and I still get chills now in 2022. Always watery eyes from the lyrics and emotion. PF is timeless and brilliant
What a fun couple, if that's what you are... Whatever you both are, you're a duo worth my 12 minutes 😊. Great reaction of yet another song from the best band to exist on our planet.
Just subscribed, it good you guys are listening to the music & not just hearing it, I got into PF at about 13-14 in the 90s through randomly listening to my cousin & uncle . Totally changed my perspective on actually listening to music, DSOTM, then the Wall , then joined the Army at 16 had my own money and bought all I could get my hands on .. some of it is unmatched and timeless.. and obviously you guys know the rules on a Gilmour solo 😂🤝
“Comfortably Numb” - “Sorrow” - “On The Turning Away” “Money” - “Time” “Another Brick In The Wall” - “Keep Talking” - “High Hopes” - “Great Gig In The Sky” - “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” - “Learning To Fly” - “Coming Back To Life” - "Take It Back" - “Dogs Of War” - “What Do You Want From Me” - “Run Like Hell” - “HEY YOU” - Pink Floyd- David Gilmour Guitar Solos I have seen performed Live in 4 concerts. “The Master Of The Stratocaster”
THis song is my fave NON Roger Waters Floyd song. But seriously, this song brings me back to the days when it first came out. LIke INSTANTLY my mind goes back there. I remember listening to it in my friends convertible, the wind in my hair, eyes closed sitting in back seat.
The Beatles are okay, they wrote alot of songs, but Pink Floyd is more then just music, its more of an experince, not something you just listen to. imo
This is my personal favorite by them. It's so good. Not that all their music isn't, but the first time I heard this one it just hit me like a ton of bricks.
This song was written by the guitarist and singer David Gilmour about his wife, Polly Samson (they were married in 1994, the year this concert was recorded). The whole Pulse concert was amazing. If you want to hear the background singers better, I suggest checking out the song 'Money' from this concert (Pink Floyd, Pulse, 1994).
Congratulations!!! You've been Floyded!! Welcome to the world of actual music. You need to go watch the 2016 David Gilmour Live in Pompeii. David is in his 70s, puts on a 2hr extravaganza finishing with Comfortably Numb. I believe he performs this song as well
As an American that lived in the UK. There is zero color in Humans. I really miss living there. Best Days of my life. 9 years of beautiful people. We were all broke as hell. But I represented America under uncle Sam. But lived with the English. Good times
As a Scotsman, I couldn’t care what shade of awesomeness you are.. if you’re a good Cu*t that enough for me, if you’re a Cu*t Cu*t , I’ve no time 😂🤝🏴🇺🇸
When my oldest niece was little and it was time to go to bed at night she would always tell us she wanted to listen to the birdies and Pink Floyd was who she would listen to the very first song on the album that she would listen to the very beginning of it you could hear birds so she always told her she wanted to hear the birdies
It's often said of Jimi Hendrix that he could make the guitar talk. If that's indeed the case, then David Gilmour can make it sing, cry, wail and scream. Nobody can pull such sheer emotion and soul out of those six strings like he does. He is absolutely unique. Often imitated but never equalled. There will never be another guitarist like David, and there will never be another band like Pink Floyd. All of us who grew up listening to their amazing music are very privileged to have been a part of the most incredible musical generation, and I think it's really great that a whole new generation of fans are discovering and loving their artistic genius
Gonna do “Sorrow”? Maybe “Run like Hell”?" ( the Pulse concert album) orDavid Gilmore, Live in Pompeii? Have you reacted to BethandJoe, “I’d Rather Go Blind”, Live in Amsterdam (for some soulful blues)?
If you liked that one, you should definitely watch „High hopes“ or „comfortably numb“ (both of the same Concert Pulse 1994). Cause you ain‘t seen nothing yet with only this song…!
I never understood why they didn't close the gig with Comfortably Numb - it's a natural song to close out a terrific evening of amazing music, yet they went on to play Run Like Hell at the end - I think it would have been better to swap those around and end the night with the greatest guitar solo of all time :)
Hi guys, again, still in England soon to be in Charlottesville and Florida for Christmas. You just scratched the surface with Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb is one to see.. again I'll mention 'I am the Resurrection' by the Stone Roses from here in Manchester, England. As well as 'Catherine Tate, Offensive Translator'.. Hmm.. I've suggested 3 there, a little needy but in my defense you have no idea what it's like to be a white English man engaged to a black Caribbean/American woman who has developed a thing for salsa dancing and makes me go because she thinks it's funny watching me move like, in her words.... 'you move like you're made of plywood!' .. I know!! She's right though.. legs flipping on the upbeat.. tie string to my feet and i'd probably be able to catch wild salmon like a bear! So... allow me this one needy thing, and a shout out to Kerri Gentius.. she's ace. As always, you two are brilliant, love your videos and vibe. Congratulations on the podcast. Peace and love as always. .. Quick edit.. I wish you both a Merry Christmas and I think you'll be really good with upcoming things.. congratulations again.
Best background singers in my opinion is on the "Division Bell" song on the inside out? Not 100% sure. Listen to the album on good headphones and u will get it. Gives me chills thinking about it....gonna look it up now...bye
NOTE: You said that you couldn't hear some of the background singers. There are some Bands that you MUST, MUST, wear headphones when listening to their music. Pink Floyd is one of them. Seriously, you must wear good quality headphones for Floyd, Queen and a number of other bands that invest huge amounts of money getting multitrack sounds recorded. The way you are listening to music you miss out on a lot of the beauty of the music. Cheers.
Pink Floyd is not just music, It's a life experience!! Enjoy the ride. I have been for many years!!
The live version of Comfortably Numb from Pulse has the most amazing guitar solo in history.
Absolutely.
Sadlyu, it ended, should have been an hour or more, but then, id prob say 2 hours, then i dunno, forever, jst, breathtaking hey
“Sorrow” live from the Pulse concert for a great light show & guitar solos 🔥🎶🔥
Despite the name, it’s not a sad song 😊
YES!!
What? Yes it is.
Listen to the mournful tone of it. Look at it's incredibly depressing lyrics. Sorrow is one of the most bleak and depressing songs since The Wall album.
Oh hell yes!!!

They are better live than studio...and their studio work is amazing. TO be there is one of the most memorable things in my life.
The smile on Jai's face while Gilmour was doing his this, says it all. G.O.A.T!

One of my top favorite pink floyd songs 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤ God bless
Pink Floyd does a weird combination of haunting guitar, heartbreaking lyrics, and just the grooviest, head noddingest rhythm and bass. It somehow works.
Age has only improved his voice. So much emotive ability in vocals and guitar
This is how masterclass musicians do it. The Stratocaster Master.
Saw them live in Sydney in 1985 with 5 of my older brothers. I had a broken leg from playing rugby and had to sit in the aisle but my brothers fixed me up with a couple of doobies so I wasn't in pain, best concert I've ever been to. Love from Australia.
Think it was ‘88 I was there as well. Life changing experience I did the doobie thing too.
1994? Division Bell tour was fantastic. They played the entire Dark Side of the Moon album for the second set.
I got chills when I heard this tune for the first time back in 94 and I still get chills now in 2022. Always watery eyes from the lyrics and emotion. PF is timeless and brilliant
Fortunate to have seen PF 3 times...stunning in concert and the light show alone is worth the price of admission. RIP Richard Wright, keyboards.
So amazing to see live! Enjoy the experience
You'd hear backing vocals if you had headphones ;-). You should always have them when listening to Pink Floyd ...
What a fun couple, if that's what you are... Whatever you both are, you're a duo worth my 12 minutes 😊.

This is my traveling music when I drive in the mountains or on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's perfect
And you picked one of my favorite songs from my favorite band of all time!!! You guys are on fire this week!!!
Hello y'all from Lajitas, Texas! Great song..great reaction..great channel! DIA DE LOS MUERTOS!
OMG Jay is looking like she's back to Life. Love you Both. Half makes me Laugh
Great reaction; glad you guys are coming back to life, LOL. You two are absolutely the most "fun" couple doing reactions!
Headphones is a MUST for Pink Floyd...trust me on that.
Saw the Pulse tour at the old Cleveland stadium. Beyond amazing. Videos can’t do the light show or vibe justice.
This song is absolutely beautiful. I suggest Wish You Were Here, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, and Run Like Hell. All from Pulse, of course!
My favorite Pink Floyd song . Especially the live version. You guys have amazing taste ! Pink Floyd next to the Beatles are the best !
THis song is my fave NON Roger Waters Floyd song. But seriously, this song brings me back to the days when it first came out. LIke INSTANTLY my mind goes back there. I remember listening to it in my friends convertible, the wind in my hair, eyes closed sitting in back seat.

@@lovejetfuel4071 ........ha ha ha, 'the Beatles are OK' damned by faint praise indeed
You have to be joking, no person could honestly with a straight face say that PF takes second to the Beatles.

7:42 to hear the back-singers really sing i would suggest "Pink Floyd - What do you want from me?" Underrated song imo

So glad you picked this...one of my favourites.
Nobody plays a strat like David Gilmour! He doesn’t play chords, he plays emotions!
People that never listen to Pink Floyd wouldn't know but knowing that they're here existing what would life be without this music?
One of David Gilmour's best Floyd songs... his wife Polly-Ann Samson did an amazing job w/ the lyrics.
Floyd are the BEST keep going down this rabbit hole
Pink floyd is the best to smoke a blunt too
Or shrooms 😁
Half, You are hilarious ! First time hearing this song . I liked it! Peace and blessings ❤️✌️

One of my favorites from the G.O.A.T.
It’s about overcoming the fear of death and embracing the love of living. See Yalom’s Staring at the Sun.
David Gilmore a national treasure.

My favorite Post Roger Waters Pink Floyd track , was fortunate to see it live

Awesome song all about mother nature / mother earth.

Love your hair, very pretty, thanks for this.
I went to Division Bell best concert I’ve ever been to.

This song was on the short list of songs that got me through the worst days after my divorce.
Haha I love this tune.
One of my favorite Pink Floyd songs... But The Wall albums.... those are to me what defined Pink Floyd as a band.
I love your laugh, Jai lol
Nice drop. You know I been married twice. Y'all give me hope it can happen again.
I'm a Pink Floyd fan. I missed the laughs, thanks.
What can you say? It's Pink Floyd; top tier of music. Next please do Comfortably Numb, Pulse show 1994.
One of my favorites
As big as a Floyd tan as I am, and even a bigger Gillmore.. don't remember this one. Dude.
My favorite from the pulse concert.
