I found this video at the perfect time! I bought a Kill Rig about 3 weeks ago. Wasn't sure how I was going to start on it. I knew from building and painting a Coven Throne that, sub assemblies are the way to go. Thanks for the heads up on the instructions screw up, also. I subbed to the channel ;)
I wish I had spent more time watching videos like this instead of videos by some prodigy painter who does things I can't replicate anyway. Nothing worse than having a great model turn into a real chore.
No worries with me doing advanced techniques you can’t replicate! As long as it helps people, and it seems to have, it’s a worthwhile video. Thanks for taking the time to watch some of the older ones!
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist I didn't mean it in a sense that you don't paint at a very advanced level. I meant that the content of the video gives you a valuable insight on how to approach a project. I wasted much of my time watching closeups of brush tips that glazed a million tiny lines for the smoothest freehand known to man (that had zero relevance to my project). I think that's a trap many beginners and people returning to the hobby fall into. The lessons I take from your painting videos are beyond just painting techniques, very reminiscent of the videos Vince Venturella makes. You actually learn something instead of just being entertained or marveling at unachievable goals.
I was wondering how complicated this kit was and it was really great to hear all about it. I know you wanted extra bits and you have a lot of Orks, (so you will use them up) but I was pleased to hear that you had used everything on the sprue. I have been trying to use up my bits lately. I would say for the Space Marine kits they should reduce the number of items in the kits. I have so many pistols and pouches. I think I might create an almighty objective marker, but I fear it will be as big as a real life titan!!!
That's another way to look at it and very understandable! For Orks I just want more gubbins to stick all over it to change it a bit from the base model (and have some left over for my bitz box!). The half-empty sprues are becoming a storage nightmare though! Thanks for watching.

The question is, would you like to see more of them? I’d love to keep making them. And I didn’t realise the Raptors were pouch-heavy! You learn something new every day. ☺️
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist yeah I think they are good hobby videos. There was some good practical things to consider with the kit and highlighting the errors in the instructions was good. I would have been caught out because I do not build Orks.
It is all I can do to NOT buy one of these, it looks incredible, but not much use in Blood/Dungeon Bowl, so that £75 is better invested in commissioning a team being painted.
FML I saw this video before i built my Kill Rig, didnt watch the video, and totally made both mistakes you mentioned.. You should have included how weak the long wires are that connect from the wurrboy tower to the middle platform

From the whole NDA fiasco, I can't trust anyone who gets advanced copies of any models. So don't be comparing yourself to them!
Cheers. I'm normally pretty positive about the kits anyway because I love this stuff, but i'll definitely call it out if something is done poorly.

I’ve since snapped the fragile cables on this. It’s a really cool model, although Mozrog is my favourite Beastsnagga.

I hope you can rescue it. Yeah, those wires are stupidly thin. I broke mine after doing the video and the glue up wasn’t easy at all.
