Have you eaten them yourselves .Just there is a few around and a lady friend says she eats them every year and finds them very close to morels ..you are maybe heading out or already scouting a last years burn ..good luck
Ahhh! I'm cooking dinner! I'll be back... I'm making wild blend rice with veggies & freshly dehydrated morels from Tuesday pick down here PNW! Main course, BBQ chicken on the 'Ol treager! Save my set! 😅
Os veo desde España y me gustan mucho vuestros vídeos deberías subtitularlos en español ya que aquí hay muchos fans de ese tipo de setas . Un saludo y seguir así.
Do you guys ever take people with when you go? I'm a small to medium scale commercial mushroom harvester in the PNW and would love to learn more about some of the other wild harvest products and what it takes to do it on a larger scale like you guys do.
Do you find that the red huckleberries taste different from the black huckleberries? If so, what sre some flavor differences?🥂 We just spent a day picking the blacks, and have never pickec the reds......yet.
Fun fact: True Morel mushrooms are a little toxic if it(True Morel mushrooms) is improperly prepared just like Puffer fish can give you food poisoning, eating improperly prepared True Morel Mushrooms have different affects on different people 😬😨😰
Yeah it’s possible to have allergies to certain foods, morels included. Cooking morels properly breaks down the compound that can be toxic. We always cook them thoroughly and over all the years nobody has had any issues and we’ve eaten a lot of morels! I recommend cooking them like you would cook chicken - no half cooked morels.
@@northernwildharvestOn 19th July 2023(which is last year) 51 customers at Dave's Sushi restaurant have gotten food poisoning after eating improperly prepared and raw Morel mushrooms 😬😨😰🍴🍣🍄
Yeah very unfortunate. I followed that case. They were served raw and also poorly stored. Not only did the chefs lack the knowledge of the food they are serving, the business also had multiple other health violations. It’s usually a good idea to actually know what you’re serving, especially with more exotic foods.
Best videos on utube in my opinion!!!!!!

@@Crazyhuskylady Yeah definitely. Same goes for foods like pork for example. I always recommend cooking them well.
