Great Video! Just wanted to edit for Minute 10:40, that it's right that the loot system buys the items from the players, but not from the regular market. These quick sell options at the regular market in any royal city is a buy order made by a player. The market where the loot system gets its items is the black market in Caerleon.
If you want a little bit of insurance in rz/bz - whenever you do a dungeon, always sprint past the first 2-3 groups of mobs. If a pvper enters and sees nobody has killed them, they are more likely to leave the dungeon; compared to a situation where they see the first mobs are dead and then proceed to catch up to you while you’re killing other mobs along the way to the boss
@@deadlyton or tbh just skip entire thing, and leave what u can leave. If u wanna know more check the albion vids about mob skipping in dungeon. because i ran thousand of t8.0 map dungeon with avarage 4-6 minutes per dungeon in Blackzone and its not with non optimized pve build, if i use 6.3 shapeshifter or ligthcrossbow i can ran it in 3-5 minutes.
10:43 The loot system is actually called the black market. Players buy from the safe cites and transport to the middle city through the red zone which is dangerous. Then sell to the game's black market that randomly assigns the loot. Another risk vs reward feature of the game.
Its impressive how you actually dedicate yourself to the grind and immerse yourself before giving reviews of these last few MMOs. It definitely shows in your reviews as well.
Whoever told you to run scholar robe for a normal bow trolled you hard. The robe gives you cast time reduction and there is not a single cast time ability on a normal bow.😂
Naturally the one video i'm in is the one where we get our cheeks clapped in faction warfare. Not the countless arena wins we got lol. It was great getting to experience some of this with you. Absolutely agree having friends to play with greatly enhances the gameplay. Solo can be fun but I think a solo player will have a great time joining a guild and engaging even in small group content. Probably the one of the best sandbox-y MMOs I've encountered. Great video dots looking forward to the next one(s)!
Dude your videos are always so good. Every time I watch one I always feel like playing whatever game you’re showcasing. A+ quality buddy. Also love how you brought your little guy into this one. As a soon to be dad gamer, this brought a huge smile to my face. Keep up the fantastic work!
man. i love this game. and liked your video. to whoever is watching, dont be scared to go into the lethal zones. its a huge learning experience and if you plan on keep playing and enjoy all the game has to offer you have to do this. you will die/ get ganked 100s-1000s of times. but this should not stop you. its so much better when you become comfortable and dont panic when you get chased by players. dont give up or say i cant do what i want because of the lethal zones being so lethal. you can. get comfy.
I've been watching since you first played RS3 and I'm so glad to see you branch out and improve. It's great to see the production value increase every time.
Really great video and it was a joy to watch an AO newcomer at his first steps in the game :) Your style to narate the journey is really interesting and well done!
Been playing Albion on and off for a while, started about 5 years ago, but when I started I played like 12-14 hours per day for 6 months straight and kinda burnt myself out. One thing I gotta say though, I understand why you didn't join a guild in this video, but once you get involved in a guild, it changes the ENTIRE game, especially depending what guild you join. However, a lot of the higher up guilds that own certain black zone areas, won't let you join without a huge amount of fame. But dude it's so insanely fun when you're in a huge guild that owns a t8 black zone and you can store your items there, and for the most part walk around and do dungeons freely. It's insane fame. At the same time, a lot of really good PVP'ers will come and try to kill stragglers regardless of there being 100 of your guild members in the zone at all times. Then there's the medium scale (like 10v10) battles that end up happening with people risking 10m worth of gear and insane mounts, it gets crazy. There's just so much to do in this game. Anyway, I just felt like watching this to see how you liked it and now I really want to get back on and play a bit and I'm definitely going to lol
Excellent commentary and review!! As a very recent solo player (T4), this was super helpful in understanding where the game might take me and what I could do
Yay finally my MMO of choice (and therefore obviously the best one of all time - lmao) makes an appearance on the channel!! I really enjoyed the vid, Waydot, and I appreciate that you gave the game a fair time investment to really get a feel for it. I play solo f2p and basically spend all of my time gathering, fishing, and transporting. The one reason I love this game is because at the end of the day what you choose to do is completely up to you, and you can easily make a build/strategy to make anything efficient and worthwhile. Keep up the great work, and hope to see you in-game some time!
Great review. This game has so many good features I'm super surprised and wish I would of gave it fair shot when I first came across this game. Things I love: huge open world, player run economy & market system, item leveling/skill tree, events and most of all..ONLY 2 SERVERS WITH LOADS OF REAL PLAYERS!!
I haven't played in a long time, but when I did. I joined a guild almost as soon as I possibly could and I was ran through team dungeons and speed leveled to a usable skill and bud in pvo a d then used as a solider in massive raids and it was such a awesome experience lol
i had this game installed on steam but never tried it out. the graphics kinda made me think its not going to be a great game but this video changed my mind. looks like alot of fun
just so you know at 10:45 that is incorrect quick sell is filling out another players buy order. the loot redistribution is only at the black market in caerleon
Amazing review, I probably would have burned out on the sandbox aspect after the first few hours if not for you. It seemed so daunting without knowing what to do next. Trying to embrace it!
I personally don't like full loot pvp. Yes I am aware that it is cheap to buy replacement gear. I am just not fond of that sort of gameplay. It is a ME thing, and I recognize it. I also don't like that endzones are also pvp. I get the why, completely understand and wouldn't ask them to change it. Again it is a me thing. Overall I really do like seeing others play, and their enjoyment of this game. Recognizing that not all games are for everyone, I can vicariously watch others enjoyment.
i dont mind it but i do mind having a million guys just chasing you and never leaving you alone and all the best stuff is inthese zones. i wish there was a cap on group sizes
Given that all the loot ingame is player crafted, I'd love if you could customize items to a forther extent, or if there was a way to look into a history of an item, so they would feel special, like an archeological artifact. It's kinda silly, but this detail really touched me for some reason.
Would love to see someone doing reviews like this also show zvz and larger scale content with guilds since its such a big party of the game for a lot of people
As a veteran I saw some spot on explaination for somethings, but some just very very far off, the most painfullest thing I saw was u not switching ur chest skill.
I really love the feeling of your heart racing and the adrenaline you get when you go the red and black zone for the first time and your hand is shaking lol
At 10:40 you made a bit of a mistake. The quick sell sells your items to people that have set up a buy order. Only the middle city will buy items for you and use them for loot.
Me and my friends have always goofed at the "You are what you wear" and still kinda do. I played the game last In Apr 4 2023 but this video does make me want to get up my 6.4 hours. Only If I had friends that would play It lol.
10:32 This is false, I don't know who told you that. The actual answer is there is a separate market in the city in the middle of the map (caerleon) called the black market where an NPC buys your loot at gradually increasing buy offers, these buy offers increase depending on demand from loot rolls on the server, when it's bought it's stored in the loot redistribution pool as you call it and then distributed to players loot. Otherwise the best video I saw about new players on Albion, congrats!
My complain and problem with AO is that in order to get into PVP you need to do lots of PVE. And PVE becomes very boring in my opinion where every zone look the same. There is nothing much to "discover", "visit". It's all trees and rocks, and that makes the explorations in this game not rewarding. Also all mobs look the same, there is no diversity in the bestiary, it gets again...boring. I wish the devs were putting efforts in those areas, because if so, i'd be playing all day :)
@@bankaiiibankaaa4573 try to 1vs1 4.1 vs 8.3 and tell me how that goes. We all know the super upper players that claim “you can do whatever”…that’s bullshit. Game is fun but really boring in terms of biomes, exploration and mobs. All same copy paste all over the zones, it’s a fact.

So, you showed the game from the bright side. You could add your solo experience with the Black Zones, where tryharding on that game starts. For me as a solo player that game lost its fun when I got my T5 items and wanted to expand my journeys to the outer lands.
Hey, you just setup a gathering bot for yourself. Love the video. However, you are wrong about the market a little. The quick sell also goes to players. There is a special redzone market called the black market where you sell things to the game for loot drops. Keep up the good work!
What I found fun and impressive in this game was how cutthroat it was. From scammers that can scam you in outlandish ways. Mafias that manipulate either the market price or city crafting and refining fees. Spies in guilds that would snitch when your guild is planning content with high-end gears. Guildmasters that basically enslave unsuspecting new players with 100% tax. I even remember that 1 time I partied up with someone in the blackzone while I was still new, and they executed me when I got knocked down.
I tried albion but quit for the same reasons I quit eft (i know they are not alike but the full loot) this is not a game you can play if you are a casual player
I wish Albion had no full loot, but PvP toggle (like WoW's warmode) with a drop chance multiplier for everything, to incentivize ppl to pvp if they like. It'd be the PERFECT mmo. I would play it in a heartbeat.
The game is nice and has good potential to be very good. I just started playing it like 3 days but i play casual and its really nice. Also to new players the system is easy to level up stuff or gather or whatever. Just look the talent skill tree and check what you need to do. thats it
I was interested in the game based off of the pleasant graphics and progression style (Similar to other games I have played) but I'm sad to see that this game is heavily based on pvp and having in game friends. Non of my friends play these types of games and I hate interacting with strangers online so I cant see myself enjoying this game.
You've sold me on trying Albion again. I tried it once and it didn't click but that was a few years ago. Am about to jump into Wayfinder and am addicted to RS3 currently. Let's see if Albion can grab me this time round! Great video and narration, much appreciated.
Amazing video.. and though it pained me to see you not watching a few guides on the game but i can respect that you want to kearn the game through experiences, fyi you can kill players and even kill t7-8 mobs in a 4.1 set, its cheap and extremely efficient being around only 35k silver including t3 mount. You would want to use a 4.1 set over a 7.0 set because it's going to be 10x cheaper and will give the same stat values if you have spec (spec: specialization in that armor/weapons, if you just have a ton of fame using that set) you can get around 1000 item power with a 4.1 which is the same as t7.0 gear with zero spec
@Waydots i thought so! I was watching it and then it disappeared 😂 i havent played albion in a few years thought about getting back into it and found this lol good vid though!
Love your channel dude. I’ve been watching since the first couple of rs3 videos. Gzz on getting this far already. The MMO video’s are quite interesting and entertaining. If ya get a chance try out Path Of Exile, curious to see what you think of it
Hey man, loved the video! I have been playing Albion for some years now. I'm still having a blast with currently having 2034 ip on my highest gear set. It nice to see some fresh perspective on it so If you ever feel like playing and need help. i'm willing to help :)
I'm looking for a game that i can make money with... How is the trading system of the game? Can i trade crafting materials with real money with other players?
The PVP is so strange in this game. All the good shit is in the Red and Black zones, but the game punishes you if you kill people. Its like they have this system to PVP to then punish you for doing it.
There is 0 punishment for killing someone in a black zone, besides having to wait a few mins before going back to city. Downside of killing people in red zone is losing rep.. which sucks, and the blue police that will follow you.. but if you stick to blackzones there is pretty much 0 punishment.
Not yet, but it's something i might do in the future. (I would just like to make it a little more creative than your typical "TOP MMOS of 2024 TIER LIST" that everyone seems to do.)
@@Waydots yeah you making this Albion video made me wanna try this game out haha I have two game for other first play threw one is tibia and the other is ravendawn. Tibia is old school mmo and not to sure how it would do for a totally new player cause not really new player friendly game and ravendawn is new game over all so yeah just suggestion to have a look no presssure love the video
the problem with full loot pvp is that it is a like very abussive relationship where people that are the most skilled (minority) farm the majority for self validation, actual fame not albion fame or simply in game currency and gear in the case of albion it is mostly silver and pvp gear due to the nature of the economy
I was very interested in buying and playing this game, but thank god i watched this review. There is NO WAY i am going to play this game. All the game adds make this game look good, but as always the game adds are full of it. Thank you for a honest review.
I never liked open world PVP, so Albion is a pass for me. Unfortunately. I wish I was able to play it on a Non PVP server, but I guess that'll divide the player base too thin. Anyway I'm happy for all the people enjoying it. Luckily for me there's a lot of other games to explore so It's okay that Albion doesn't work for me.
@@fyiatflyta Thats where you are wrong. Full Loot PvP Games are getting exploited by big guilds. There is no high risk vs high reward. All you maybe win today, you loose tomorrow. Its annoying and exhausting.
@@BlueShadesX You sound like one of those guys who takes all of your net worth to a lethal zone, dies and then complains. The only place you might get "exploited by big guilds" is if you go to a high value black zone that is owned by big guilds. Besides, there's plenty of players who just do safe zone faction warfare with their 8.4 sets they bought with their credit card and they seem to never get tired of it.
New subscriber here only found your channel a few days ago but loving your content mate hope you stick with the new stuff your doing, keep up the great work mate😊
This reminds me of myself two years ago when I started. I was the same noob as you, now I'm a gucci min/max player that dominate hard. It's enjoyable when you are weak and everyone stomp on you and when you are op as fk. Albion is an awesome game.

RuneScape perfected its leveling system, so much so that it ruined other MMO's for me. Albion is very similar to it but I couldn't go back to it because it doesn't have that leveling system, its skill tree is complicated, and there is a meta for early game fast leveling for player efficiency. It's not bad by any means, but it feels like a downgrade of RuneScape in scope, so why should I play it?

Can you use a gamepad woth this game?
Wooaahhh did you not have an osrs ironman playthrough?
I did ! Once upon a time
@Waydots i thought so! I was watching it and then it disappeared 😂 i havent played albion in a few years thought about getting back into it and found this lol good vid though!
Wish i could find a fun pve like this on mobile but so hard to find something good
He didn't put any passive skills on big nono
Great video!
so if i loose my weapons on black zone will i have to learn that tier agaiin or i can simply craft the weapon
Its permanent , buying is more cheaper i think
This was a really nice video man
Hi, just asking. Can you purchase an island while on 3-day free premium? How?
and, will I lose the island after it expires? (premium)
No you cant but the island wont expire if you dont renew youre premium
Im not sure abt the 3 day premium but they wouldnt allow that
Love your channel dude. I’ve been watching since the first couple of rs3 videos. Gzz on getting this far already. The MMO video’s are quite interesting and entertaining. If ya get a chance try out Path Of Exile, curious to see what you think of it
What is the song in outro called?
What does "full loot" mean?
I have been watching ur videos these days and you really deserve more subs
Albion was the runescape new version that I wanted that never was
Hey man, loved the video! I have been playing Albion for some years now. I'm still having a blast with currently having 2034 ip on my highest gear set. It nice to see some fresh perspective on it so If you ever feel like playing and need help. i'm willing to help :)
I think m willing to try it
the mule, best mount ever created
Who made you wear a scholar robe with normal bow xD i m crying 🤣🤣
final fantasy 14 next?
I'm looking for a game that i can make money with... How is the trading system of the game? Can i trade crafting materials with real money with other players?
Well done but try not to pvp with that q use the single target one for fire staff.....
Finally, a new waydot video. Great content man (btw DO NOT CHOOSE THE EAST SERVER ITS ECONOMY IS BROKEN AND IT'S WORSE IN EVERY WAY)
The PVP is so strange in this game. All the good shit is in the Red and Black zones, but the game punishes you if you kill people. Its like they have this system to PVP to then punish you for doing it.
Probably just there way of lightly trying to lean towards a less toxic community? Fk knowns🤣
There is 0 punishment for killing someone in a black zone, besides having to wait a few mins before going back to city. Downside of killing people in red zone is losing rep.. which sucks, and the blue police that will follow you.. but if you stick to blackzones there is pretty much 0 punishment.
do u have list of your top mmo?
Not yet, but it's something i might do in the future. (I would just like to make it a little more creative than your typical "TOP MMOS of 2024 TIER LIST" that everyone seems to do.)
@@Waydots yeah you making this Albion video made me wanna try this game out haha I have two game for other first play threw one is tibia and the other is ravendawn. Tibia is old school mmo and not to sure how it would do for a totally new player cause not really new player friendly game and ravendawn is new game over all so yeah just suggestion to have a look no presssure love the video
the game is fun, but the grind, THE GRIND!
The progression map, gathering and crafting is so damn good in this game.
Such a shame its a pvp focused game, ohh what could have been
Offt which fire staff?
14:26 You had to be in the same group with the player You could just invited him
Put it on old gen and new gen consoles and it will blow up even more
the problem with full loot pvp is that it is a like very abussive relationship where people that are the most skilled (minority) farm the majority for self validation, actual fame not albion fame or simply in game currency and gear in the case of albion it is mostly silver and pvp gear due to the nature of the economy
I was very interested in buying and playing this game, but thank god i watched this review. There is NO WAY i am going to play this game. All the game adds make this game look good, but as always the game adds are full of it. Thank you for a honest review.
Its free lol
I never liked open world PVP, so Albion is a pass for me. Unfortunately.
I wish I was able to play it on a Non PVP server, but I guess that'll divide the player base too thin.
Anyway I'm happy for all the people enjoying it. Luckily for me there's a lot of other games to explore so It's okay that Albion doesn't work for me.
why would i wonder "how you got there". I'm here to see what the game is like.
Albion Online would be nice if you would not drop your equipement everytime you die. Thats what completely killed the game for me
Full loot mmorpg, it's what gives the risk vs reward
@@fyiatflyta Thats where you are wrong. Full Loot PvP Games are getting exploited by big guilds. There is no high risk vs high reward. All you maybe win today, you loose tomorrow. Its annoying and exhausting.
I lose items all the time and feels good ganking people Xd
@@BlueShadesX You sound like one of those guys who takes all of your net worth to a lethal zone, dies and then complains.
The only place you might get "exploited by big guilds" is if you go to a high value black zone that is owned by big guilds.
Besides, there's plenty of players who just do safe zone faction warfare with their 8.4 sets they bought with their credit card and they seem to never get tired of it.
@@SpheraculGames Albion will forever stay a niche mmorpg cause of these crappy systems
I've seen enough. I'm intrigued.
New subscriber here only found your channel a few days ago but loving your content mate hope you stick with the new stuff your doing, keep up the great work mate😊
Thanks man I appreciate it :)
It's literally Runescape 4.
This reminds me of myself two years ago when I started. I was the same noob as you, now I'm a gucci min/max player that dominate hard. It's enjoyable when you are weak and everyone stomp on you and when you are op as fk. Albion is an awesome game.
we are in 2024,we don't beg for subcription anymore
I got an Albion ad while watching this video 😂😂
RuneScape perfected its leveling system, so much so that it ruined other MMO's for me. Albion is very similar to it but I couldn't go back to it because it doesn't have that leveling system, its skill tree is complicated, and there is a meta for early game fast leveling for player efficiency. It's not bad by any means, but it feels like a downgrade of RuneScape in scope, so why should I play it?
Was I brought down by a video I watched showing early game player efficiency? Probably. This game is fun nonetheless.
My fav mmo since wow easy
