Yangmingshan is a super relaxing part of Taipei! Great place to be away from all the chaos in the city😄. You guys may also go more north to the Northern coast of Taiwan, it's super beautiful when the weather is good.
Cherry blossom is amazing to look at! Japan has a strong influence in Taiwan's sakura both from the Japanese colonizing history and the modern popular culture. A century ago the Japanese colonizer brought sakura trees from Japan to Taiwan. And nowadays the Japanese popular culture influence Taiwan very much also has the Taiwanese people love seeing cherry blossom. Travel to Japan to see cheery blossom has been one of the most popular travel plan for Taiwanese people. And for those didn't travel, having it at home is a great treat. But it is not that common to have sakura tree in Taiwan due to the warmer climate. So the sakura trees are mostly in the mountains where the climate is cooler. It's hard to have the scale of cheery blossom seen in Japanese cities in Taiwan. 🌸🌸

Wawa needs to expand to Taiwan. “Everybody here is so happy…I am loving this.” If only we could experience more moments like that. But not that sulfur stench. Though the views are nuts! That mist is so amazing. Reminds us of the West Virginia mountains in summer.

The video is artistically shot and the itinerary well researched. Alas, today I went up to Mount Xiying and it was covered by fog. So, it is pointless to hike up the summit and see nothing in front. Took the next bus coming down to Yang Ming Shan bus stop.

Would you recommend to hike up from xiaoyoukeng to mt qixing then to lengshuikeng, or the opposite direction? Which way is easier to ascend? I love your video!

Would you recommend to hike up from xiaoyoukeng to mt qixing then to lengshuikeng, or the opposite direction? Which way is easier to ascend? I love your video!

Agreed!! I think it can vary a bit, but we found March to be pretty chilly most days in Taipei!!
Stay in Taiwan until the beginning of June, then you can eat the fruit called 'Lychee', which I highly recommend.

Hi there!! It varies year to year!! You may be able to find cherry blossoms in late spring in cooler regions of Asia, so in Taiwan perhaps in the mountains!
