I love that Fantastic Comics #3 but surprised to hear it’s *that* popular. I never would have guessed it could surpass Suspense #3, which is the grail of grails for golden age. Since a Universal hasn’t sold in awhile this could be a sale that gets a huge number and draws out some other copies.
Plastic Man may not be popular, but there are lots of fans of Jack Cole -- and that won't be changing anytime soon. If you can get a good deal on Police Comics #1, it may be an excellent investment.
So funny. I got a TMNT set from a comic fair in 1987; books 1-4, all first prints NM, for only around $350. Makes me cry when I hear about the prices now. Darn Divorces! LOL
Do you think that Captain America No. 46 grade is legit? Eta Nick: "Quarter size piece missing --3.0 Max," but the book looks more like it has TWO quarter size pieces missing and still gets 4.0? Of course, CGC is not beholden to ETA Nick (let alone to his cheat sheet), but still. I suspect many books in this auction, because they have been recently graded, will exhibit arguable grade inflation (the higher the grade in super expensive books, the higher CGC's grading fees).
ETA Nick’s guide isn’t always 100% correct. For example he has that a detached cover is a max grade of a 3.0 and I’ve seen (and owned) many that get a 4.0. This doesn’t have anything to do with grade inflation.

I had my Cap 46 in 2.0 sell on the CLink recently for $11, 348.00. How does that compare with your estimates? In line?
