That Action #19 presents very well, and that’s the point. People will pay more for books that present very well. GPA does not take the presentation of the book into account.
Very true a few people with high disposable income is not usually affected by fluctuation in the market. Does not reflect the spending habits of the average comic collector.. Regardless I still enjoy your assessments. It's fun. 😊
Thing is though that, if you resubmit that conserved Action 19 hoping for the "cover cleaned" remark to fall off, it may or may not fall off, but the provenance ("Christine Farrell Complete DC Collection") will DEFINITELY fall off. Don't know if I would take that gamble.
For the Detective Comics #64, Restored, CGC 9.4, given that this is not an early Detective and not an expensive book, would you not think that the amount of restoration was not extensive?
Thanks for all the time you spent putting these together, very interesting info
I also think that collectors are willing to pay big bucks for those rarer Golden Age books, especially those with white pages.

I also love Action 19. I made what I thought was a realistic bid at 3k. Nope! Thanks for the analysis!

More Fun 14, 15, 16 has Superman prototype in color thus over guide.
I don’t price based on guide. Overstreet is basically worthless for pricing.
Sounds like u may need to go back to price estimation school lol!
