I’ve had a 1992 400E since 2018. I use it as my daily driver. The thing is easily my favorite car I’ve ever owned. I just got back from a 500 mile road trip with it, and it didn’t miss a beat. The only hiccup of the whole trip was I got a speeding ticket because the car is so smooth and stable that it’s easy to forget how fast you are going.
Nice car guys. You guys talking over each other constantly made this video too hard to watch. Also , correction… the 400 E never went to Porsche for assembly. The only W 126 that went to Porsche was the 500E.
I have a 400e black tan 150,000 had the entire suspension redone factory they say 130 mph all day 155 top with out governor 177 I would not doughty it at 12 mpg without a/c and green fog lamps wow!
I had a '93 400E for several years as my daily driver. Mine was Malachite/ Mushroom. Favorite car I ever owned. I bought it as a 73k mile, one owner garage queen in 2006 and I put 100k on it in 4 years. It got squashed by a van and totalled in 2010 with 180k. RIP
Wow. Drives great. I’ve driven a 1989 300e, 2002 ML320, and 2007 c280 4Matic. Solid cars. My younger brothers have driven the new models which isn’t as strong as the old models
@@theconfortibrothers2827 my shortstop story is I had one black with gray leather was going through a curve in Houston Texas in a residential area and some guy in a full-size Chevy truck decides that he would swerve to the left across a double yellow line while someone was breaking in front of them to turn into oncoming traffic aka me anyways it wasn't a complete front hit he had to be towed away I was able to still drive my car started back up and drive it to the shoulder to inspect it long story short I took it to the office building parking lot near my home where I had the use of a parking space and I bought some parts off another w124 the fender and Hood Grill Etc I think the radiator and I had a couple of parts inside the Mercedes while it was damaged on the front locked up and the hood and other parts on the other side of a shipping container on the property well guess what somebody stole the car including the extra parts I bought hidden around the back side of the container and I'm guessing they use the tow truck or they pulled it on the dolly I don't know. So if you guys decide to sell this car please let me know first
I was going to have my dad look at this car, but it disappeared very quickly. He ended up getting a CLK550. I bought a R129 to use while my 17 SS gets a break.

@@theconfortibrothers2827 i have a 400e and i can tell you this man is telling the truth. Replace the wire harness right now. If it hasn't been touched it is a serious fire risk. Also, i have to replace the distributor cap and rotors about every 2 years

Correction: The 500E / E500 was a W124, not a W126.
That wasn’t a 126 that was a 124 with a 5.0L V8 engine
