First time I have ever made a comment on any video, but I have played golf for almost 15 years and this was the best lesson I have ever had. This showed me why some shots or games were either good or bad . Your Frankenstein approach to the golf swing has made you a valued teacher.

Wow, I'm so happy to hear that, but I can't claim to be a teacher in the normal sense. I'm just a guy trying to find his way, and I like to think I have some insights since I've combed through and tried so much. That said, take the exact same swing, give it 6 different tempos, and odds are, 1 will stand out as the best and most consistent.

I totally agree with the golf like you walk analogy. I went on a mission this summer to try and swing the club like Couples. I watched hours of him on the practice range and slowed my swing down to try and mimic his pace. Well as you already know, that was an effort in futility. After a few swings I always ended up back in my normal rhythm. Now I still try and have a smooth and effortless swing, but I don't try and control my pace - just the amount of effort I put into the swing. Smooth and effortless does not necessarily mean slow. Working my way through all your videos and liking your approach. Keep up the good work.

Great video, we have to be true to our own natural rhythm. Nothing better than watching Fred Couples swing a golf club....zzzzz (sorry, fell asleep there). Anyway, keep up the good work.

Good stuff! A part of the swing I need to master but not quit there yet. Still on Shaun Clements and his tempo is amazing. Consistent is key 🔑 thanks again !

Have you found anything on golf personality? As in should you be a swinger of the club or someone who “hits the ball”. If your more of a fiery kind of person maybe make more of an aggressive swing or if your more laid back swing the pub more. They talked about this on the shells golf Nicklaus vs Snead. How Nicklaus was a hitter and Snead was a swinger. Your take on this

How do you feel about a drill based way to learn. I’m doing two drills right now that have been a big game changer for me. I think they would benefit you as well as you have a couple faults that I struggle with. The split grip drill and ball forward drill. Split grip teaches you correct feel. Ball forward drill gives you an athletic figure it out drill. I also do flow drill where you swing back and through non stop. Your take on this? If you give me an email maybe I could make a little video and send it to you on what I’m doing

Another great video Sir, thanks. Your presentation of a grossly underdiscussed topic, at least from my research and experience, is one that should 100% be taken into consideration for any player who is on the quest for their own goals with this game we love so much.
"Play YOUR game" is a quote that comes to mind. Those three words are very simple but much like the title of your channel, which is downright awesome!, contain much more than the average person will see at it's surface.
"Your Game" is a representation of you and the individual, natural rhythm is a integral part of that.
I have recently been focusing on each shot I take. If it's good, then why was it? If it wasn't good... then why wasn't it?
While practicing I'm not out to hit 1,000 balls, I'm out to hit as many good ones that I can.
    Perfect practice, makes perfect.
Timing, Tempo, Rhythm, and my own personal pace has been PARAMOUNT in my success.
My friends say I "run on my own time" hence "Glen O' Clock."
    I don't even fight it anymore. 😄
    Again, genuinely, thanks Sir.

Have you checked out chi golf performance. The woman teaching says stillness guides movement. Well I watched a different video from her on a slow steady inhale while you swing. Game changer I played yesterday morning after midnights. It was crazy hot and slow. When I get tired I tend to get tight in the shoulders and have the ugliest swing in history. The more tired I got the more I worked on my breathing. My brain still functioned really well and I was really more in tune with my target. I smashed drive all day and no hack swings. I stayed loose the entire round and was really about to pass out. I feel like with the deeper breathing I got more oxygen through my body. My brain worked better and no major swing thoughts. I think you should check this out if you haven’t. I bet money with all you have learned a performance based teaching will take your game to the next level. Just my humble opinion

My guess it relates to the time you need to deliver the club face sweet spot square to the ball and maintain your intended swing plane. I like the "hover"at the top of the back swing to assist me to achieve the above.
P.S. I am freezing my butt off in Victoria ( Oz not B.C.) with a frost on the ground, and no golf for a week due to yet another ( #4) Covid induced lock down. Hopefully a week, not 12 this time!

@@GolfTestDummy Btw, I agree with your conclusions here. My usual tempo for most of life’s activities is what I would call deliberate or methodical. My optimal golf swing has a tempo similar to Fred Couples or Sungea Im. If I speed it up though, power and accuracy disappear...it’s always been a paradox to me, until your video, which makes sense of it. So I thank you sir!👍🏼
