15:54 Yes please, more simple projects. I've checked other channels for ''simple'' projects, where they run something like ~ _take a block of starting wood and first run it through a huge electric planer, trim it to size on a table saw bigger than my shed, followed by a quick form on the table router, now into the CNC machine to create our shape and finish off in the spray booth for quick coat of varnish and there you have it, we took a 2 metre length of 150mmx150mm wood and made your very own (single) initial key ring! and a bonus tooth pick!_ Seriously, I really liked both of these idea's, I'm going to make these for my mum. Also liked and subbed to your channel. Oh and I thought the DIY sticker transfer looked really cool, gave it a sort of aged look.
G'day Seth, thanks for the like and the sub mate! Much appreciated. Glad you liked the video too. I hope you can stick around as there will be more Scrap Projects to come. Cheers mate. 👍😁👊
Thanks Dirk...good to be back! Long story short but l had all but pulled the pin on TH-cam back in December after the powers that be decided to do a random experiment on .3 of a percent of TH-cams 2 Billion users....unfortunately l was in that .3 of a percent and as a result of that it basically destroyed my Channel!!!!! It was a little devastating to say the least ....After lot of mucking around l finally managed to get the original channel reinstated only a few weeks ago so now l'm back on track...the bad news is that you guys will now be seeing more of my videos😂😂. Have a good one mate and thanks for watching 👍👊😁
Making sure im not missing something, in the first project you flipped it over to drill both holes through on each side yet you cut off the end that would have "burst out" when you did the 45 degree. Did you just do this to follow best practice or would that had messed something up?
Cheers Remowo! Glad you like the videos mate and thanks for watching all the way from Athens!....much appreciated 👍😁🇦🇺......Appreciate the Sub too! 👍👍😁🇦🇺
Thanks Xhemil! In regard to the image transfers....It's nothing fancy, all l use is label paper that you buy from your local stationary store......you know, the A4 sheet of paper that is covered in labels that you peel off and stick to things like envelopes.....peel all those labels off and throw them in the bin. Once the labels have been removed you are left with a shiny surface and that is what we want to print on.....hope that makes sense ....l actually made a video on the process a few years back...Here's the Link to Image Transfer Video. The instruction starts around the 5.40 mark in the video. Good Luck!! th-cam.com/video/-A-Un_X21lU/w-d-xo.html......Good luck 👍😁🇦🇺
Love your accountancy skills! Of course the wood had a value, it cost you once and still carries that part of the cost plus your students (us) may not have the correct scrap so will have too buy so please please do it right for us!? Nice one Bob England
Pro tip. If you have clamps, and clamp your workpiece to a sacrificial piece of wood; not blowout with drilling. You can also use tape where you will drill, and mark out on the tap. Drill through said tape( painters tape), and boom.. Shouldn’t have the splintering from entry.
Oh and one more thing.....the pallets you use (or at least in the pallet deconstruction video, and the plank in this one) look way better then most of the other pallets I've seen or collected myself. I did get a couple really nice ones from behind my local grocery store, they had thicker planks like yours do. I heard someone say it was a euro pallet! So are the ones you used Euro pallets?
Charley, the best place to find heavy duty pallets is from a business that handles heavy duty products like a brick and tile shop or a machinery outlet that sells heavy equipment like lawnmowers etc. Hope that helps 😁

Brilliant Uncle love the vintage movies!! Now has wood evolved in your life span to aid drilling? As you rarely mention 1/2 way drilling nowadays? Kindest Bob England

Great Ideas! I enjoy re-purposing wood that I find as well. The answers are a bees left ear and 1.50. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Hi Regina...glad you enjoyed the vid! Like you, l love it as well and you might....if you're interested...check out my latest scrap wood video that l posted a couple of days ago. Here's the link th-cam.com/video/8gozBf9kGRQ/w-d-xo.html The answers by the way were spot on but unfortunately the competition has already been drawn. If you're interested in seeing who won, here's the draw th-cam.com/video/tLhgMBdZmuc/w-d-xo.html Thanks again Regina 👍
15:54 Yes please, more simple projects. I've checked other channels for ''simple'' projects, where they run something like ~ _take a block of starting wood and first run it through a huge electric planer, trim it to size on a table saw bigger than my shed, followed by a quick form on the table router, now into the CNC machine to create our shape and finish off in the spray booth for quick coat of varnish and there you have it, we took a 2 metre length of 150mmx150mm wood and made your very own (single) initial key ring! and a bonus tooth pick!_
Seriously, I really liked both of these idea's, I'm going to make these for my mum.
@@diyforknuckleheads Thank you for the reply. I'll stick around, notifications turned on!

Grouse to see you back on the big screen again mate, two nice projects & great ideas for gifts & the home 🔨🔨👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
I love your scrap wood projects!
Thanks Ran...glad you like them. I hope you can stick around for more to come 👍👊😁
Making sure im not missing something, in the first project you flipped it over to drill both holes through on each side yet you cut off the end that would have "burst out" when you did the 45 degree.
Did you just do this to follow best practice or would that had messed something up?
Another simple project I do from scrap wood is making kickstand pads for motorcycles/scooters. These keep the kickstands from sinking in hot Blacktop.
👍👍....Good idea Chuck 👍
Strange guy. I like you. Subscribed.
G'day Jared..thanks for watching and for the sub mate....much appreciated 👍👍

Hi mate,
Awesome job!
Where about’s is the info for how you do the coloured prints?
Thanks!
Cool video ideas, subscribed
Cheers S.S....and thanks for the Sub! Much appreciated 👍😁
Love your accountancy skills! Of course the wood had a value, it cost you once and still carries that part of the cost plus your students (us) may not have the correct scrap so will have too buy so please please do it right for us!?
Nice one

Pro tip. If you have clamps, and clamp your workpiece to a sacrificial piece of wood; not blowout with drilling. You can also use tape where you will drill, and mark out on the tap. Drill through said tape( painters tape), and boom.. Shouldn’t have the splintering from entry.
Thanks for the tip Ryan 👍
WTF!! Woodworking,'tis fun!!!
👍👍😁
Oh and one more thing.....the pallets you use (or at least in the pallet deconstruction video, and the plank in this one) look way better then most of the other pallets I've seen or collected myself. I did get a couple really nice ones from behind my local grocery store, they had thicker planks like yours do. I heard someone say it was a euro pallet! So are the ones you used Euro pallets?
Charley, the best place to find heavy duty pallets is from a business that handles heavy duty products like a brick and tile shop or a machinery outlet that sells heavy equipment like lawnmowers etc. Hope that helps 😁
More more more more!
Stay tuned Jeanne...there’s more to come!! Thanks for watching 👍😁

Brilliant Uncle love the vintage movies!! Now has wood evolved in your life span to aid drilling? As you rarely mention 1/2 way drilling nowadays?
