Net zero, really! Not me! Inflation exists. The increase may be 2 plus percent, but on the higher base when it was raging at 9%. Inflation may be decreasing on goods, but service Inflation is still high, and prices for the most part have not gone down.
Clark naively believes all the government statistics which are materially misstated. Learn how the CPI is determined (not valid statistical sampling by any means) and the revision of how the CPI is “calculated” resulting in substantially understating the real cost of living. You’ll see that the published CPI is not even close. It’s been politicized, like way too many other government functions.
The goal of dealing with inflation is to bring it down to a reasonable level, not to go back to where prices were. Don't expect prices to go down at all; expect prices to level out and go from there. Recalibrate and move on.
Clark claims that only 20% of people are hurting in this economy and yet every poll I see says it's 70-80%... What is your source for this Magical 20% number while Credit Card Debt and Debt in general are soaring out of control along with defaults ? Oh and I haven't met a single person who thinks that their income has kept up with inflation... Lucky You...

Not true our incomes have not gone up. Actually with my monthly expenses which is same as prior to inflation, my salary has gone down by about 30% because Insurance, food, gas, and many other monthly expenses went up around 30% and my salary stayed the same!
I don't know Clark! I did a comparison of the Wage Index and CPI from Jan. 2021 to August 2024 (sorry, not trying to be political but you said "since 2020"). Wage Index rose 17.8% while CPI was 20.3%. On a % basis (difference of 2.5% div. by 17.8%) that's a 14% lagging of wages to CPI. I think inflation is really digging at people. Just received my homeowner's insurance and 26% increase OVER ONE YEAR because of "increased cost of supplies and material". And my auto insurance is promised to also be up about 20%. This is after Michigan's great "Insurance Reform". Not pleased at all. HOwever, i still agree, America still is the greatest nation on earth.
