Hi Bob. Compliments of the season to you. I do 1:35 AFV's and Dio's but have yet to start using oil paints. I see you have a nice stand of Abteilung 502 colours. For someone starting out in oils could you please consider doing a video on the basic set of colours required, plus the various techniques employed with them? Cheers.

    • @genessismodels

I do all sorts of step by steps mate that you can see on the website, here is one example www.genessis-models.co.uk/videos/meng-models-leopard-2-a7-german-mbt-1-35-scale-model-intermediate-step-by-step-video-build/

@@genessismodels Thanks for that. I don't understand my computer. I am subscribed to your website and have hit the bell icon BUT I don't get notifications on new video's.
Do any of your attached links cover buying a basic range of suitable oil paints? (A bit pointless buying colours that will never be used).

Happy New Year Bobby! I wish you and your family a happy and healthy year and I hope your newly improved store and website are very successful.
I have a question about one of the tools you showed on the video, the photo etch scissors. Who makes them?
    Thanks
    Frank

    Great video, thanks Bob.
Question about the paints, have you found that certain brands have superceded others? Are there any you just don't use anymore or do they all have their place, horse for courses sort of thing?
Cheers and happy new year 👍

Great setup Bobby, I'm still fairly new to airbrushing started out in my garage then my son moved out so I took over that room then he moved back in then had everything in my bedroom then just before Christmas my daughter and her fiance moved into a house so now me and my wife are making that room into our hobby room she does a lot of crafting and I am excited I'm buying a lot of stuff I'm going to modeling I got frustrated and stopped airbrushing doing illustrations.

Hi Bob, love the videos, looking for advice as complete noob to scale modelling. Can you recommend a good starter set up for spraying, panel work and oil weathering?
Bit of a big ask but am on a budget, am moving soon and will be making myself a nice man cave to start building up a good stock of kit to get going. Keep up the great work, it's most appreciated!!
    Many thanks
