Something that they can't fix but could do is when defeating a medallion the give you full heal because 3rd partys after you kill them is so annying
some people could probably just say its a skill issue, or they could add penalties for 3rd partying, or maybe it would probably kinda be strategy. Let the enemies wear themselves down, then go in for the kill. It's immoral, but it's probably been executed in war.

Ch3 season 3 ch3 season 4 ch4 season 3. Also the sniper too op argument is used every single time a sniper is a one tap headshot litterally every single time people complain and they then also complain about snipers when they dont oneshot. Also fun fact any gun with a scope has no bloom when ads and projectile weapons are objectively better for the game especially with first person weapons which have been absurdly broken since introduction in ch3 with the mk7 i would just melt people out of the sky with no way for them to fight back with the striker burst i would just keep applying chip damage until i felt comfortable with WKeying a guy and with the ch4 ar i cant remember the name of it would do 40 damage 40 damage 40 damage until they died while flying in the sky with balloons. With projectile weapons it is much harder to melt someone out of the sky and much rarer to get melted out of the sky yourself. And the issues with people only dropping on certain pois has quite literally always been a problem in this game since tilted towers released and in ch2 season 2 it got worse 90% of the lobby was at 3 pois and it stayed this way up until today. Anytime there are mythics in the game in a poi even withought the medalions players droped at those locations way waaaay more then any other. I dont think many people remember this out of noatalgia and or not having played at the time but people initialy wanted tilted removed due to the drastic change in paceing that caused most of the action to be in the early game with one or two fights mid game and then the last few fights at last circle. There would be 30 players left in a lobby after 3 minutes a fair amount of the time.
I know the community complains regardless, but I personally think this chapter is worst balance-wise, and a lot of people agree. Also, I don't disagree that the weapons being more skillful is a decent change, but the problem is that since it's almost impossible to deal damage at long range with ARs now, you'd obviously want to just use a sniper or waterbending instead. In other words, sure, less people would run the sniper if ARs were buffed, but I'd much rather the sniper be nerfed because ARs are more fun to use. And when everyone in the lobby is using a sniper, THAT'S when it becomes a problem. With something like the heavy sniper, if someone headshots you, yeah it's annoying, but it's an extremely slow, loud sniper, and it's kinda a risk to use. With the reaper, as I mentioned, it has all of the benefits of every sniper added, PLUS the ability to 1 shot. So along with the change to ARs, it just doesn't make sense to have a sniper this broken.
I know previous seasons have had similar problems, but if you actually listened to the video, I explain why the problems this season are so much worse. For example, how boss POIs are fine, but they should be spread out instead of clumped together.
@businesscactus The only things unbalanced-wise that stuck around too long have was the Auto Shotgun and Waterbending. Last season started this this Chapter with the Frenzy and Ballistic Shield.

I’ve quit Fortnite lots of times. Once at the end of chapter 2 because my parents wouldn’t let me play, and at the end of chapter 3 because Fortnite was not fun for me anymore. Now I realize that quitting all those times was a huge mistake because it made me terrible at the game. I have gotten my skill back, but I have begun to see the flaws in Fortnite now. My main complaint is the frenzy. If it does NOT get vaulted, I will still be angry because first, it was overpowered and it was a pain in the ass to fight against last season. But when they nerfed it, it was even worse than before. So at this point they should just vault it and replace it with something else.
IMO this 2 seasons have been amazing and the game won’t die……. It’s too big to fail

I don't think the reaper sniper isn't a problem anymore after the nerfs to the bullet velocity and bullet drop it's not scary. The season 1 was an actual problem. But if any of you still have a problem with the sniper it's a skill issue more than anything
i play on controller and im not good at all. i legit get a sniper headshot almost every week now, which was unheard of before. you think saying "bullet drop" and "bullet velocity" just automatically means its worse now and needs more skill, when i am living proof that's not the case. how? i don't know, but it's just not. i've been the victim of more headshot snipes this chapter than any other previous season, too. it's not a skill issue.

Without any full thought, I think the bosses should be able to travel to different POI’s or just randomly spawn at different locations using the concept of rifts so it makes sense. Or literally they spawn on a he floating island

With a weaker sniper that is exclusive to the next season maybe something like "apocalypse sniper rifle" or "rebuild sniper rifle" it would do 100 damage with headshot on epic ,probably 125 on legendary , and if they do mythic 95 damage but shoots faster and has more ammo (more ammo than it would with drum mag)

For real, Battle Royal shouldn't be some, go to a boss and get their medallion to guarantee a win. It should be a diverse and unique game, like maybe remove or Nerf some of the meta weapons even if its only 1. The reaper sniper is way to easy to use, the gatekeeper shotgun is basically just pray that you hit you're shots and especially the Cerberus gatekeeper shotgun, its basically just land at grim gate, escape to a nearby location if you need to, heal up and come back and there will most likely someone already killing the boss so you can just swoop in.
I think the game was more balanced when it had the augments.
I agree with mostly everything you said, except for the Gatekeeper and Sniper. The Gatekeeper has been the best weapon to handle campers and spammers with and actually takes aiming skill to utilize. The thing about the sniper slander is that this is a Battle Royale, and you're not guaranteed to always know if someone has their sights on you. The map is too big as opposed to in creative. Sitting still in open spaces and not keeping movement in mind makes you an easy target. This was always the case, but being able to change sniper attachments maybe made it easier to get hits bc of the variety of different options. Hitscan being removed also makes sniping harder, but it also makes you focus more on your snipes. But dying from sniping has always been more of a frustration than a problem. Who wants too, right?
I forgot to mention in the video but a big problem is how good the sniper is close-range. The fact that it can take a 1.5x or no scope at all means that in almost every fight, your opponent gets a cheap 120 damage instantly at any range. The bullet drop nerf did nothing to counter that. Also, the gatekeeper isn't the worst thing, definitely less annoying than the frenzy shotgun, but I honestly just prefer high-risk/high-skill shotguns like the pump to be viable instead of automatic shotguns. That's just my preference tho

@@businesscactus I have adapted to it. It's still easy to snipe in close range. Long range just takes a few more seconds. But you dying to a sniper shouldn't have to hinder my experience with them just because you can't use them well

For me only need 3 things as I love the theme: fix the matchmaking for me or bring back Battle Lab, fix the replay mode and fix the locker... I am a casual player I want to enjoy my time in the game and create videos with it, and now is near impossible all the way.

You're right, there's less about skill now, and more about items. None clearer than the turrets imo.
I agree with everything in this video EXCEPT what u said about the sniper. Yes, sometimes it can be really noskill but you do need skill when its used as intended (long range). It's when someone comes up to u with a holo scope and just headshot snipes u from 1 meter away that its noskill. Also the reason its good at all these things (Quickscoping, being quiet, being able to spam people with 5 bullets before having to reload etc.) is because of weapon mods (have u tried quickscoping without the angled foregrip, the only reason its quiet is because of the supressor, u can only spam 5 bullets because of the drum mag and the hunter bolt action sniper had 3 bullets in the mag and no one complained about that). Also, all the times u got sniped in the video, u were standing still or moving slowly or predictably. Try to change up ur movement in the future so ur less predictable and dont stand still and u should find u won't get sniped nearly as often. in my opinion, they should nerf the mag size on the sniper to 1 bullet and the drum mag gives it 2, and also make it either so u can only have the 4x scope or all scopes have glint so u can always see if someones aiming at u with a sniper
I actually completely agree, but I want to add a few points. I actually forgot to add that in the video, that the reaper is way too good close range. A sniper should be a sniper, and not a free 120 damage at any range. Also about what you said about the attachments, sure it is mostly the attachments that make it OP, but you gotta remember that they only spawn as purple and gold, so they always have at least 3 attachments. I like the idea of nerfing the mag size, because it would at least make it a little riskier to use, but I think a decent nerf would be making them spawn without attachments, and yeah, locking it to a 4x scope
The problem is that in real life it's very hard to shoot with a sniper rifle : it's Big and heavy, you have to find a safe location, have a spotter with you to check the wind and check the surroundings, lay down, etc...
In Fortnite you just have to aim in a few seconds and shoot.
The difference is just too big, while using an AR or SMG is nearly "the same".

To a point, but you can't expect everyone to be a movement god. Plus, there will still be people who are just insane with the sniper, and the reaper just makes it so easy. (I'm assuming you're talking about the sniper point)
I think that medallions and mythical guns should be in separate poi’s and I think that when I first saw this season I thought Ch 5 S 1 Was just a 1 time fluke but this Season was even worse by 10x, every gun sucks because of bullet drop and I believe that it should be removed so Snipers and waterbeidng would be so OP, I also think that Gatekeeper should have been nerfed and Hammer pump should be upgraded as I thought it was weird how it’s not even viable when someone has a frenzy auto.
One major issue I have with this season that wasn't touched on in this video is dashing. Any time you were in Grim Gate or dealing with its medallion, every fight turned into an absolute grind to see who could spam dashing more than the other. This happens way more often than people may think. I hope this mechanic gets removed in season 3. Overall I'd rank this season as a bottom 5 season of all time. I already didn't like C5S1 and this season was even worse. If season 3 isn't good, I might lose interest in Fortnite.

4:43, while I could say that they're probably just really swamped and busy doing multiple things, Epic Games is rich with so many people. But then as I say this, I then remember that Fortnite isn't their only game.
They could possibly better optimise their development teams so they can make the things even better, though it's also possible that the developers could already be overworked. Either way, I don't have the data to know lol.

i feel like this chapter so far is kinda boring. IK that we have greek god mythic and stuff but i feel like previous seasons were much more unique and cool.

I am tired of medallions and mythics, just get rid of them at this point. They have never found a way to make them actually balanced. They are always too OP or not worth getting, there is no in between. I am tired of the meta always being in favor of a specfic platform (I will say which platform does change, so there's that). I would like a balanced loot pool, where there are multiple ways to play and enough diverisity that people on different platforms are on a somewhat even playing field. A comprehensible story line would be a bonus but not a requirement.
Yeah the meta has been very boring recently. The new season is fun, but I don't know how much I can play when you literally need one of the boss cars to win
Bring back old movement honestly also add a new loot pool, tired of snipers lightning bolts and gatekeepers, as a competitive player this stuff kinda pisses me off

I can’t play a single game without getting sprayed and prayed, getting full auto shotgun shells unloaded into my head, and getting my skull cracked with the overpowered sniper. To me Fortnite isn’t fun anymore. They made Chapter 5 even worse with this season. Hopefully next season saves this chapter.

I disagree with the medailions-if you end up in top 2 and your opobnenet has all of them you have that player clearly marked on a map and can easily snipe them (during the game when I kill someone and they drop the medalion I let it there and just tak the mythics just so in the end I have easier time to win)
and for woh to keep the game alive...rewiving STW and bringing back some dorm of creative BR island for creators to use (so they dont have to create it from the scratch) would be a good start

1000x better than season 2, I love it so far. My only worry is that you might be kinda screwed without a car, but that's kinda the whole point. I like that the theme is immediately obvious. If you asked a new player last season what the theme was I doubt they'd even know it's supposed to be greek mythology
Bad news not only is the Gatekeeper still in the game, but its mythic variant is still lurking too, and Oscar's frenzy auto is back.

This is only for casual players not comp players even if the majority of casual players quit the comp players would still remain these seasons have been good, the medallions are fine and always will be good, if you give everyone an equal chance then that’s just you being bad and you need to improve if you want to play.
It has nothing to do with skill, and everything to do with how fun the game is to play. If competitive players are sticking around anyway, they should at least make the game fun for everyone. Every game in season 2 was so repetitive. It was just:
1. Land at 1 of 2 medallion POIs
2. Hunt for 2nd medallion
3. Hunt for 3rd medallion
4. Hunt for 4th medallion
5. Win the game
I'm not bad at the game, I just think last season was so boring. Especially because the entire meta was broken long range guns.

Also, another thing. THESE FUCKING ITEM SHOPS. I cannot tell you how angry I am with these item shops. Fortnite is making it seem like they’re doing the bare minimum in giving us these item shops. Fortnite could easily bring back good skins like Travis Scott, because Tim Sweeney himself stated on twitter that Travis was welcome back in Fortnite. But even when epic does give us good skins, almost nothing changes. I basically quit making item shop videos due to how terrible they are.

This season is awesome so far I love it. You're just complaining. The cars are epic the new mythics are beastly. I think it's definitely different from the usual but it's a lot of fun. I do think there are some nerfs and buffs that are needed but other wise it's fun overall

i barley played in the wholwe of chapter 5 in season 1 i only just got to lvl 200 and season 2 i didn't play much i am sually lvl 200 by the middle or end ofseason but i am only lvl 173.kinda like i didnt play much in ch4 seasons 3 and 2 but i actually did get lvl 200 is s2 but not in as3 becasue of the gameplay was boring in ch4

The reason i quit this season is because the game suddenly filled with sweaty old men in there mothers basement spraying me from halfway cross the map, hidding in a corner so they can somehow 3 tap me with there stupid frenzy, 200 sniping me off spawn and the list goes on. I remember when pubs (the casual gamemode) was actually casual. These weapons are making the sweats more apparent in games because now any grey weapon is as good as a legendary from back in the day. Not to mention the majorly disappointing starwars event! That was the breaking point, i thought that mabye this would help to make the game fun with the force mythics back but....yeah that didnt happen. Its just so lazy of them. And we thought chapter 3 ss3 and ss4 where bad 💀

Most of them are definitely kids 💀💀and not every weapon is going to be the same. I only really agree with the Frenzy and Waterbending. Things that are no doubt overpowered or out of place. My theory is they keep them in for less experienced and basic players, but the issue is that it doesn't teach them to grow and get better and they just end up relying on meta.

2:33 gonna have to disagree right there, if a medal spawns on an island players are gonna want to stay away from it because that puts a bigger target on their back not to mention it devalues medals by making them an easy item to get rather than a reward for fighting a boss.
Like it or not having set spawn areas for medals fixes that issue, if you don't want fight sweats (at that moment) you could land somewhere else.
In addition making it to where better players can't get better items because they're better kinda defeats the point of mythics and medals.
I couldn’t disagree more. To start the medals are a flat out crutch. Nobody runs to boss a poi because the medals simply add a fun game mechanic. They run to the boss poi because having the medal vastly increases your chance at victory. The truly skilled players wouldn’t be camping bosses if that wasn’t the case. Moving the bosses around instead of having set locations would actually incentivize everyone to actually play the game not rush boss poi get medal or leave game which is what is actually happening. Every game turns into get first medal hunt for second, third, fourth, win game. You don’t even waste your time fighting anyone else because they don’t have anything of actual value. Playing solos I often end the game now with 4 kills and 4 kills only because I have no reason to engage in a fight with people who don’t have or are not currently fighting for a medal. Every single game plays out exactly the same. In duos it’s the same. In trios it’s the same. In quads it’s the same. Doesn’t matter if it’s build or no build. That is not and never was, what Fortnite has been about. What this does it creates a false narrative that players are really engaged with the boss and medal system when in reality they’re forced to be. It’s not happening because it adds a fun wrinkle to the game. It is the game. Random locations would only slightly alleviate this problem but slight alleviation is better than none. Also, a medal holder shouldn’t see other medal holders on the map. These are small tweaks that would greatly improve the overall experience. People would have to actually play the game not play PvE simulator until another player who also played PvE simulator shows up.
@@Dirgeoftheapparatus PERFECT explanation of exactly how I feel. It sucks that everybody drops at the same place to guarantee a game-winning ability at the START of every match. (Also, for OP, it wouldn't just be laying there on the island, you'd have to capture it or fight a boss. Also I'm sure plenty of people would still go for them, just look at how many people contest the current loot island, even though it's trash.)

Epic games clearly never intended for these to be items you just get for the fun otherwise they wouldn't give you a significant advantage.
And moving around bosses wouldn't fix anything it's just gonna cause more sweats to bundle up in an area using the video creators example if they spawned on an island this would be a huge issue because islands only spawn in once the zone is small and this would make people ENCOUNTER more sweats since they can't travel anywhere because of storm.
Also only having 4 kills at the end of the game seems like a skill issue no offense.
You fight people because it's a fighting game or because of their loot. If you don't fight anybody because they don't "have anything of actual value" then you wouldn't know since you didn't actually fight them-
Medals actually give you less of a reason to fight people since it shows they're probably better.
@@Raddish-IS-Radd The main point I'm trying to make is that the medallion abilities are fine, and it makes sense for them to give you an advantage, but you shouldn't be guaranteed to get one just by landing at a certain spot. It makes every game go exactly the same, and the best players in the lobby get buffed at the very beginning of the game. "It's over before it even started" sort of thing
The weapons part was valid and well explained, but that hasn’t bothered me at all personally. If I haven’t been bored of this season aside from after the Star Wars event, then Fortnite is doing something right. Collabs for next season are incredible, the buildup is amazing, the vehicles will be large in gameplay, and you’re saying if so much doesn’t change then it’ll “DIE?” Fortnite will not die whatsoever because of what they do with seasonal hype and content. People shit on this season because it gets boring near the end, not like that hasn’t happened before ffs. They also disregard how much hype this season had, it’s a peak season, hands down

In My Personal Opinion I Loved This Season But I See Your Point With Weapons Medallions Etc. All Your Points Are Something I Agree With I Hate How Easy Water Bending Is To Use Also With Your Whole Not Use Meta Weapons And Have Fun Thing I Have Had That Situation Happen To Me Before I Came Across This Video Specifically With The Hammer Pump And The Huntress DMR Over The Gatekeeper And Reaper Sniper And I Had Fun And Did Good I Won One Time Using A DMR Instead Of A Sniper And It Felt Nice I Also Agree With Your Medallion And Bosses Point As Much As I Like Getting Medallions They Aren't Very Even Same With Bosses The 4 Bosses This Season Are Just At 2 Edges Of The Map And Not Evenly Spread Out Like How Others Chapters Would Spread Bosses Evenly Across The Map I Think Medallions Being Spawned On The Floating Islands Would Make The Gameplay More Even And Interesting. This Is One Of My Favorite Seasons But I Still Recognize Its Negatives Also Honorable Mention To The Chains Of Hades Being The Best Melee Weapon Ever Invented As Fun As It Is To Use It Is Very OP It Does A Lot Of Damage Long Range And Close Range So I Feel Like It Should Be Restricted To A Mythic But That's My Personal Opinion.

About the collabs part, even if Epic kept the Greek mythics people still would have complained say something like "There is too many mythics" so in reality theres no win win a option had to be chosen

There’s nothing wrong with going chaotic as long as it’s somewhat balanced, there’s nothing balanced about those hades chains and the water bending scrolls… don’t even try to defend it bruh if you do that just shows you’re one of those people who abuses the mythic for the easy dub. You can literally squad wipe with that water bending scrolls multiple times within one match no kidding it’s just that broken
@vivaraulito I just personally love using fun weapons cause it's fun to use, as much I will miss chains of hades and water bending they definitely need some debuffs, I just want a fun and awesome season with fun to use weapons and mythics
@@Siivajenna it’s fun at first until you choose to lock in and start getting competitive that’s when you realize how flawed a lot of these mythics are cause from a competitive standpoint a lot of them ruin the game I know waterbending made the game tedious af especially when the entire enemy squad is whipping up the water bending and the chains on you it’s like bruh wtf am I even supposed to do I can’t dip cause I’m dead by then

Honestly they should just nerf the sniper like they did back in early c5 s1 by fixing the rarities of the reaper, the only thing I want them to add is the inability to take the scope off, if you want a scopeless sniper, take the dmr not the sniper because if you have noticed most of the pros take the scope off to reduce the recoil in turn giving them a better sniper, plus it’s just a silly excuse to cover their entire monitor with their giant f*cking foreheads
That's something I forgot to mention. Most people barely use it to snipe anymore, it's so broken with no scope and people just use it close range to instantly get yo to half health
