In Toronto there was a serious problem with youths hanging around the subway stations and causing problems. The Transit Police arranged for classical music to be played on the intercoms of the subway stations. This irritated the youths who stopped hanging around and would leave ( how many young people want to listen to piano or opera music ). The problem was solved immediately.

As someone who has worked security, with clothes women, they come into the store, buy $200-$300 worth of clothes, wear them and at the end of the week return them saying they didn't wear them. The they exchange them for $300 of new clothes, end of week, exchange them. This goes on all the time, that way they never wear the same outfit 2x. And if you try to tell them they can't do this, they create a scene, start yelling, screaming racist, and stores let them get away with it, cause everyone is staring at them, and no store wants to be labeled racist. If there's a way to steal it, they always will, even if they have money to pay. Just close the stores in those neighborhoods and they might think twice about stealing if they now have to drive 20 min to a 7/11. Or just put a fence around the ghetto, and charge admission to see the human zoo. In armored trucks of course.

I have developed some friendships with the significant people in my boyfriends life and his friends and I have always had fun with the extremely obvious difference between us. As someone who has worked security, with clothes women, they come into the store, buy $200-$300 worth of clothes, wear them and at the end of the week return them saying they didn't wear them. The they exchange them for $300 of new clothes, end of week, exchange them. This goes on all the time, that way they never wear the same outfit 2x. And if you try to tell them they can't do this, they create a scene, start yelling, screaming racist, and stores let them get away with it, cause everyone is staring at them, and no store wants to be labeled racist. If there's a way to steal it, they always will, even if they have money to pay. Just close the stores in those neighborhoods and they might think twice about stealing if they now have to drive 20 min to a 7/11. Or just put a fence around the ghetto, and charge admission to see the human zoo. In armored trucks of course.

regular stores don't tend to open in these areas, no? even grocery stores are usually small chains, and even those close after being there for decades, but once the neighbourhood goes to hell it's not worth it. too bad cuz not every single person there is a problem, but all we see are the thugs and wannabes, the whores and junkies.
malls don't want bus lines, but then it's made into a race issue, so bus lines open up. businesses don't want to open in these areas, and i think fast food pretty much does it half out of not wanting to seem racist as much as making a profit behind bullet-proof glass at a wendy's.
i don't even know why the doors aren't closed at 9 p.m. and business done through a protective barrier in this place. hell, it's done where i live, and it's far from a ghetto.
Just make a Sign that Says no Returns and it's easy and if they throw a tantrum show them the sign and ask if they can't read.
No one cares about your job in security.
