I think the reason abandoned insane asylums are considered haunted are because of all the experiments and brutal treatments they did in the asylums. A lot of patients were killed in these asylums. Most of the patients were considered psycho, sociopathic, and had lots of problems (depression, skin problems etc.) so they used them for experiments (which hurt a lot) and yeah like FaZe said in one point of the video, they were burnt (alive as well). They were killed so brutally there have been ghosts and figures seen in lots of insane mental asylums.
