    Will you be doing a walkthrough of paper 2 before the exam on the 25th?

      Yes! I thought I’d leave it until Paper 1 is out of the way, though. Keep subscribed and keep an eye out for the Paper 2 walkthrough coming soon! ✌️

    how would you tackle the paper strategically? like would you do all the 12 and 15 markers first then the smaller questions last?

    • @allsociology
      @allsociology  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It’s personal preference, but given the time constraints I’d always suggest tackling the big questions first.
      In eduqas paper 1 there will be 2 x 15 markers (families and education), a 12 mark methods Q and a couple of 8 markers on families and education as well. If I were sitting the exam, I’d take a look at these and make a brief plan for each of them early doors, as these questions make up over 50% of the paper. Even if I didn’t write my answers to them straight away, I’d still have my initial ideas down, which would at the very least settle my nerves / give me a bit more time to think about what to write as I’m working my way through the rest of the paper.
      Ultimately, it’s up to you, but given the weight of the bigger questions - I’d hit them first. Good luck!! ✌️

    Hi. I'm confused by the criticism for secularisation on the 15 marker? is it possible you could explain it in the replies?

    • @jinyrili
      @jinyrili ปีที่แล้ว

      also confused by the norms/values point on that same question

    • @allsociology
      @allsociology  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello! Yes, watching that back I didn’t do the best job explaining it! Basically, if you’re arguing that secularisation has had an impact on the divorce rates, the criticism to this would be that many people in society are still religious. For example, nearly half of the UK classed themselves as Christian in the 2021 census.
      In terms of the changes in norms and values - this is how I’d tie that (taken from the question) into secularisation. Ie. People becoming less religious shows a decline in religious values.
      Does that help? ✌️

    Could you do one for wjec AS or do you not teach a level? If not it’s okay!

    • @allsociology
      @allsociology  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m afraid I teach AQA A-Level and I’m not going to have time to do anything on that anytime soon. You can still use a lot of my content videos for revision for your AS exam, depending on which topics you cover. Good luck with your revision ✌️

    • @allsociology

      @@user-sq9qu7cz8k Mainly because I'm pretty confident that I've covered all the bases with all the videos I've already done. There's only a certain amount of stuff you can be asked, and if you've watched all the vids, you'll be ready for pretty much anything they ask you tomorrow. The other reason is that these videos take a seriously long time to make - I'm talking multiple hours to pull all the stuff together, make them look half-decent, check them for accuracy and then record/upload them. I also have a full time job as a teacher and it's mock / exam season so I'm already pulling daft hours after work and at weekends just making sure my students get the feedback they deserve. But... I'm genuinely interested to know - what would you like a 2024 video on? Any feedback greatly appreciated!
