I just bought one from eBay for $75. it was a return for nor working it had little AM and about 4 watts SSB , I got it on 9/29/20 I opened it today to do a check (10/3/20) and found one of the MOSFET just split in two, there was no burn or smoke smell, the seller also had a Lincoln 11+ I wish I had bid on that too, I just order a pack of finals USA seller selling them at $1.99 a piece I bought 10, some I may use for another radio I pick up cheap that need finals (Galaxy 959) another return radio, cheers

@@CharlieTangoCBUK I think that with seemingly an uptake in radio sales, videos like this are essential, especially to people newly taking up the hobby! Buying a new radio and under powering it could be an expensive mistake! I like the look of going 'mobile' too, so will probably be requesting how you power your rigs while in the car! :-) Thanks again!
did you get the Mic adapter from knights & what wiring did you request i have a k-po nm532 which I would like on the same radio & is the wiring the same as the crt ss6900 i would appreciate it if you can give me some advice
As far as I know Carl the CRT SS 9600 uses Uniden 4 pin wiring, therefore if you order an adapter for the CRT SS 7900 from Knights, just select the Uniden wired version in the drop down menu on ordering and you should be good to go. 73s, Mike
Hello I have a question I have this radio and it says maximum 10 amperes on the back so I got a 15 ampere power supply but no matter if I have highest power, the radio only draw 4-6 ampere I don’t understand why so low.
İ have both of the CRT 7900 V Turbo and also the CRT SS 9900 V4 and both these radios İ highly recommend!
Hi. In your opinion, which is the best choice? I saw a video and it seems that the 7900's sound is better.
@@EGASS84 They are both good but the ss 7900 has a digital noise limiter which the ss 9900 does not have!
