    Certified or uncertified makes no difference. You either know how to do what you are doing or you don’t! A certificate does not prove or disprove someone’s ability.

    Thanks for the detailed instruction, will have to do this to my too, the handle is a bit stuck and won't turn either way, hopefully after cleaning it will work again.

    Hi, the Calibration unit you have is awesome, those guys in Taiwan and China should learn from you and calibrate their products properly, cause 3 to 4 of their brand new products are missing calibration😂. However what I say is valid for few years ago and these days seems to be better quality control on theirs products. You are a cleaver man👍

    Very interessting video! I paid attention to everything you did, the way you mount the tool, but mine doesn't "click" anymore, even at low torque. What else could be the reason? You may have an idee to fix it. Thanks in advance.

    Is this what I’ll do if my torque wrench is hard to adjust? When I twist it I feel resistance.

  • @kashi2843
    @kashi2843 ปีที่แล้ว

    excellent, but the torque wrench didn't have any washers which you separately added, so how was it locking perfectly before. seems the root cause of the problem is different, any thoughts??

    Question about clicking mechanism.
    After reassembly my wrench does "click" but it does not return to "un-click" position. So after initial "click", when I release pressure and reapply it I cannot get second click.
    I have already made sure I have reassembled it same as you with all parts orientated like in video.
    Any advice?
    Anything to do with that small screw by the clicking mechanism? I have removed that screw for cleaning - I believe I have inserted it exactly same as it was before. Maybe needs small adjustment?

    • @MrDIYer
      @MrDIYer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Either the screw was over adjusted or the roller assembly or head wrench itself was assembled incorrectly.

      @@MrDIYer Correct! The head was messed up. Managed to fix it after lengthy try and error ;) Thanks!

    hi po, how do you fix if the locking mechanism is stuck to being locked and can't be turned/twist for unlocking?

    I have problem with USAG Dynamic 130 Torque wrench.
    When i put it on any value, he don't click, acting like regular ratchet.
    Anyway it's in case ( basically new ) i inherited from my Grandpa.
    I dismantle it and all parts are inside, only what is missing is one thiny locker pin ( on your is two pins mine have 2 holes but one pin second is missing )

    • @MrDIYer
      @MrDIYer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe the pins that your pertaining to are the ones responsible for the handle to hold in place. You can easily fabricate it. But with or without it the torque wrench should still click. Only reason i can think of why its not clicking is either the roller assembly or wrench head is assemble the wrong way or has been over adjsuted.

      @@MrDIYer well thx for reply i will try to dismantle it and cleaned completely and will see again.
      Screw for adjusting calibration is same way insert like yours.

    After watching a bunch of clicker style torque wrench disassembly video, I still don't understand why people say not to loosen bolts with clicker torque wrench. Doesn't look like anything is going to break or go out of calibration, the rocking piece is just pinning against the other side of the barrel, it doesn't involve the spring, the tension the spring is at, or the clicker mechanism at all. Seems like all the people who vouch against loosening with torque wrench is just blindly following the crowd and haven't actually dig deep and think about the reasoning. I assume the reason why manufacturers warn against doing it is to make sure users won't apply insane amount of torque that damages the pin that the rocker piece pivots on, Seems like that is the weakest part and probably first to fail if loads of torque is applied in a being used as a breaker bar situation(user blindly torqueing without any indication of currently applied torque, unlike in the tightening direction it lets you know torque is enough with a click). As long as the loosening torque isn't too big that breaks the pivot pin, the wrench should be all fine n dandy, and considering that pin won't break under the maximum rated tightening torque, the same amount of torque applied in loosening direction shouldn't hurt it.
