The early access version I sent Wytse had an issue that reduced the effect of the compression and harmonic modules (my fault). You can do everything you see here but the controls for those two sections now go twice as far if you want to get into sound design territory or just push your mix that bit harder. Thanks for the review!
i wish you would always include some electronic music with a kick etc just to see how it reacts. i think that and the one you got here would cover it well
Just got the email about this from PA and heres the video! haha Thanks! sounding pretty good with a lot of options i didnt realize it had cant wait to try it out.
Those subtle changes I think I would call transparent, but they clearly make a great mix better.. It's nice for a change to hear something improve without it being changed dramatically.. Thank you for uploading this. I like it a lot.
I was gonna say it's like background music from an 80's movie or TV show where someone brings their date back to their place and puts on some music. 😂😂😂
That plugin on that song sounded really good, sounds like such a clean and detailed enhancement. "No more plugins, no more plugins, no more plugins" is what I also have to tell myself.
A plugin with Horrible Bugs! You can't even compare it before/after adequately. Either it has a lot of problems with phases or it just doesn't work. I installed it, checked it and immediately saw Bugs. Even if ALL organs are turned off and the “HYIP/Mix” wheel is completely Counterclockwise, then I see Peak Jumps sometimes even Above +4 dbfs!! It's just awful! What kind of Mastering are they even talking about in advertising?)) Just put in your daw a branded track (without a pipe) - which exactly rests on the “digital 0”. And now turn on this HYIP plugin. And even if you press the BYPASS button, you will still see the volume at +4.xx HIGHER. I simply cannot trust this. Thank you, but the plugin is deleted and forgotten by me.
Most multi processor plugins usually have a lesser for of everything... Right off the bat, the compressor is doing a lot better than most. I was thinking it was going to be one of these DJ like tools that you'll never want on a master bus... but each part has been real quality. I had always thought the best way for plugins to get close to analogue is to forget being like analogue and just try to make it sound better. Would be a nice one to have... The hardest part of getting plugins is figuring out how to narrow down the library so it's not a hassle to find the most used ones quick enough.
"It feels good" is a very good expression for this plugin. It is similar to Adptr Sculpt. All their plugins are awesome and innovative. Like the one from Newfangled audio.
Can you please demo the new Acustica Audio Limiter, Lace? It uses clipping as well as limiting - but its controllable. You can open up the attack of the brickwall limiter and allow the clipper to work on the transients- allowing you to control both processors in the time domain, as well as the knee of the limiter and clipper. The limiting transfer curves are sampled from hardware limiters, also included a few “preamps”, some from Fairchild, Manley, and even the Pendulum Audio Vari Mu
I don't think you'll like his Acustica reviews. They tend to get a lot of criticism since he approaches the reviews intentionally without getting familiar with it nor reading the manual. And Acustica are pretty advanced tools. The purpose is he gives reviews on how the vast majority of users would use them. How easy is it to use out of the box and how quick can you use it to get a good sound out of it. In my opinion. That plug would be too much going on for a review for this channel.
I appreciate all the companies that are not trying to clone old hardware and exploring how cool digital can be. like I promise we don't need another 2a clone unless you made crazy new tech
That elevatormusic remix of sandstorm makes it really really hard for me following your statements. I would have prefered some more beat-oriented sound example...
I just spent some time with it and I can say for certain that this thing can be very aggressive... subtle if you want it but it definitely suits heavy electronic genres.
It's adding "air" with compression and imaging, right? Sounds good for sure, however can be achieved with what many of us have already got, but seems to do a lot of work on its own. Time saver? I suppose yes
so HYPE is basically a much more streamlined combination of compression, saturation, and stereo width, and this thing also has binaural panning. Am I getting wrong?
Hi Friends. Just cashed out at the Arturia half off sale. With that in mind, can any IK T-Racks 5 users recommend a chain that would get close to this?
guiro! xD ... i agree, i'd like to hear this on more modern music, i find it difficult to assess on the last few videos. also i was expecting hype to be in the upper frequencies, not hysteresis on the whole range. i like it a lot! ... i can hear some FFT noise at the extremes of the compression (maybe that's YT?). wow it sounds so smooth and quick to get results though
Nice review but how does it sound on vocals, acoustic guitar, some live instruments??? The track you are using has very little dynamics so I can't tell what the plugin can do on other types of music.
I have the plugin, from yesterday, and I noticed your video, so I want to see first what you think about it. Lately, a lot of work at this end. That stereo enhancer is doing a great job, I'm going to try it myself now.
Really like the sonic results of these HYPE plug in. But i always have struggle with the authorisation of PA plug ins on my mac. Anyway, I see you use Reaper. Would you be interested in reviewing the TUKAN Studio JS plug ins one day?
Video idea:-) do you remember this plugin with that you can capture your analog signal chain and it recreates how it behaves. Then you can take it with you in the box and also get controls for the settings. So I would be interested to see how it compares and if it nulls
Seems like an interesting approach...🤔 As a musician for life but a novice mixer (of about 5 years), the naming of the controls makes more sense to the musician part of me, feels a little more intuitive somehow... Would be good to hear some examples of other music through it, if you feel like making a followup?...

First I don´t liked it. Then I played around with. Never I had a plugin on my computer, with a so wide sweet spot. In that way, is it really an analog hardware feeling .
That would be, uhhh, my problem :) If you look at my track record I had apple silicon support out for Boost well before many of the big players so hopefully that shows that I'm serious about supporting you all.
after Sculpt's GUI disintegrating/pixelating into nothingness...them acknowledging this issue and doing nothing about it... i doubt i'll be buying any new product from them. i mean one device which doesn't work is enough for me.
Hey ! Can you do a snake oil about « Sound Particles » 3D software? It’s supposed to be used by hundred of composers and mixer in film music (Dune, M:I Dead reckoning etc) from stereo to Binaural and atmos
I actually disagree with the comments. Would really appreciate more videos/reviews for underdog fx plugins (delay, saturation, reverb, etc etc) instead of this mixing vst stuff, gets boring imo
I mean by that logic all any plugin does is change volume or frequency or both…. But to be more helpful only certain plugins can inspire or obtain “beauty” via their purpose. So I don’t think they’re all the same even if they all only do one of 3 things.

Sandstorm. :)

Maybe the real darude … one day … 😂
Just dropping by to tell you the room shot from behind is pretty cool! 😄
The stereo image is savage. So smooth.

Beautiful track!!!!!! Please more tracks like this version of Sandstorm
That mix sounds heavenly!!!!
This song reminds me of the late 80s, early 90s mall soundtrack.

Just another plug-in that doesn’t do anything special. It’s fine, maybe even good, but there’s better, there’s worse, who cares
That could explain why it's called HYPE.
