I applied for unemployment on 11/20/22, today is 12/20/22 and I have filed twice for my payment and still have not heard anything back as to weather or not i wll be qualified for unemployment or not. They sent me the papers telling me when to file and how much i could potentially get every 2 weeks, but have not sent me an answer yet as to if i am going to get benefits. I have worked for the same company for 4 years. But, was a 1099 contractor until August of this year, when I transitioned to a W2. I will be laid off at the end of this month. Am I eligible for Unemployment benefits?
I tried to do the second step but when I click on the "payment request" it says 'It is too early to file your Payment Request. You are scheduled to file your next Payment Request on your scheduled filing day,TUESDAY, during the week beginning September 06, 2020.' does this mean I will have access to the payment request on September 6th?
I think I made an error... I kept asking for my pay range, and when I put it in it would say incorrect so I put 7.25 but that was less than what I was making
I have to say this made me even more confused. Do all the steps need to be completed at once? If I don't have a resume now I need to create it before I can upload, but even if one uploads this you have to complete it on their form also. This makes no sense to me so why even upload your own? I am an intelligent woman but this moved so quickly and you just kept saying, "... and then click next and complete what is on the page." I thought you'd spend more time on certain areas. I have been laid off for a month now and because their instructions make no sense to me I have not applied for unemployment. And, in reading the comments below, Texas cannot even submit online...
