So Jay, Adam, what's cool about this one is that it draws from a real part of Japanese history: the transition from the feudal samurai shogun system to a full on Imperial system with a more democratic process. The way the father is dressed in traditional samurai style is a dead giveaway. The Imperial system promised negotiation and openness to other countries, trade that secures their fragile resource base, etc. This divide tore apart families, upended years of tradition and lead to full on civil war, both sides doing pretty bad things to keep or take power. It's in this view that we judge Ocho and basically see how good intentions and desperation drove her mad.
I really hope we get a Lop action figure. The Twins from episode 3 got figures, Ronin got a spinoff novell. I want a, preferably Vintage collection sized, figure of Lop.

The Yasaburo Clan's family crest seems to be both the Jedi symbol and a portentous image of a bird, mirroring the insignia of The Rebel Alliance's firebird. 9. Did you notice how, just like Anakin, Lop was told to wait (in meditation, during the twilight of the day) for someone's return, but, because of a sense of impending danger, hops in to a transport, only to encounter, and involve herself in, a fateful battle between 2 significant people in her life, resulting in one of the individual's being maimed? "...just like poetry, it rhymes..." -- George Lucas. P.S., the studio that created "Lop & Ocho", has ideas for where this story should go; with Lop reuniting her family, and challenging The Empire's occupation of the planet of Tao (great name, BTW).
