The ending to this video was absolute perfection. Now, I can’t wait for Jaxxon: Rebellious Rabbit, a six episode limited series, to hit Disney+ this fall!
If I was tasked to make a Star Wars series, It would be a show about decanonized characters being recanonized again, modernize their backstory and make it new, exciting and fitting into the Star Wars canon.
Sure bucky is more original. But even bucky would lose a firefight against jazz jackrabbit. He's got too much firepower and his Rambo 12 inch pythons. Also... Why are there so many green rabbits in fiction... It's not a winning design like a blue hedgehog. But they have their super dedicated fans
When I first saw him (in the first or second Marvel Star Wars comic after they'd finished the movie story) I thought he WAS Bucky O' Hare! Larry Hama worked for Marvel and later created Bucky O'Hare (as an indie? not sure now), so there could have been some cross pollination. Also I didn't watch the full video so I bet it says all this.
I like Jaxxon alot…..hes a Marvel Star Wars creation and would love for him to pop up in a project. I remember being introduced to him back when Marvel printed those comics.
I would love to see the entire 8 Against a World arc done up on the small screen, Cone Wars style. And while we are wishing, why not wish big and request Splinter of the Mind's Eye as well?
This is great. Always thought Jaxxon was cool. I really enjoyed his appearance in A Certain Point of View. Love how you make videos covering topics such as these. Keep up the great content!
Loved Jax since Marvel Star Wars #8 in 1978! I was in 3rd grade and home sick with ear infection when my dad brought me issues 6-8 from pharmacy. I loved it!
I had that first issue of the STAR WARS comic!!! As a very excited 11 year old, I remember how the story inside the comic wasn't lining up with the movie I would see later on. Only later, in adulthood, would I learn that the comic was developed and issued based on a "working" script and not the movie script. It was that comic book that I learned about not only Jaxxon but Biggs Darklighter as well. As an adult, I was able to see some of the cut scenes involving the Biggs Darklighter story arc which gave more depth as to Luke's eagerness to leave the farm.
Probably was, just like Lucas hating Mara Jade. I want to point this out now, nothing under the old Expanded Universe was approved until George Lucas signed off, if he hated something, he'd veto it immediately and it wouldn't exist.
@@OfficialRaveBlitz EXACTLY!!! Thank you!!! If something happens on the old Expanded Universe, you can be sure that he not just approved, but he actually like it! @@darthlucasfuu I should point out, Lucas himself didn't consider it Canon, Lucasfilm did, but Lucas still had to approve and sign off on storylines. In fact, he got involved in the EU mainly because he didn't like the direction of Dark Empire.
I actually want to see a canonized version of Jaxxon (maybe as a darker-colored version), esp. in The Mandalorian Saga. Lop, from the anime Disney + series, Star Wars: Visions, was the first official canon Lepi seen in The SWU, and she is a Force-sensitive. I'd love to see both figure in Live Action and comics, in the near future. BTW, your Bugs Bunny-esque impression (and the Harrison Ford/Han Solo) was perfect and hilarious.
@@sonic-bb According to Disney brass: If certain SW: Visions characters and/or stories resonate with the SW audience, and they don't conflict or contradict established lore, there are chances that SOME of the stories in SW: Visions may be inserted within canon. For instance, "The Elder", on the SW timeline, takes place around the time of The High Republic, which the creators of that multimedia initiative have claimed this vignette to be a part of; though it was created and crafted by a Japanese studio. The incidents of, "The Village Bride", can easily represent one of the 45 Jedi Purge survivors who lived during and after The Empire's reign. "Lop & Ocho" can be a self-contained story of 2 (as of yet, untrained) Force-sensitive (adopted) Sisters who defeat a faction of The Empire, while reuniting their family, and protecting the gifts that a Jedi of The High Republic bestowed upon their house. "TO-B1" can absolutely fit with The SWU, esp. if We allow the existence of The Shards/Iron Knights (from The EU) to officially join the canon. And, there can always be a SW Japanese-inspired Rock band in the galaxy. ;)
it's kinda ironic how George hated someone putting a cartoon rabbit in his story, then he went on and created his own cartoon rabbit to much worse reception
I loved Jaxxon from those early issues as a kid and have never understood the hate for him. Yes he's a big green bunny with references to Bugs Bunny, but as a Star Wars character he is very much another Han Solo. He's an adventurous smuggler with a custom spaceship who is handy in a fight and with a blaster. He's quippy, tough and loyal. There are plenty of other silly looking charcters in Star Wars, but he is a silly looking character who fits right in with the kind of stories that get told in this universe.
I have the Jaxxon black series figure. He's possibly the greatest Star Wars character ever because he's also a Marvel character. Like Deaths head is a transformers and marvel character.

Great video, but I have to correct you on one thing. People forget that when Dark Horse took over publishing Star Wars comics in 1991, the Marvel continuity was rendered non-cannon.
