Whatever accent he does, it is always perfection. He is a master at languages and dialects. He speaks fluent French and German, and did an entire film, "Hilde" (2009) in German (it does have English subtitles). And his latest film, "Ich Bin Dein Mensch" (I Am Your Man) is an all-German film (with English subtitles). From all reviews, Dan Stevens got the best reviews of his life -- all raves. And again, exquisite fluent German.
Agree. He speaks almost as I used to speak in English. Still got some typical Russian tones popping up here and there that I can't get rid of, and he actually nailed these very good.
I think the great thing about this movie is how it subverts expectations in the most pleasantly surprising way. Both Lemtov and that greek singer are a good example of this. In the beginning I assumed the movie was going in a generic direction and that both were quite mischievous characters who try to have Will/Amy for themselves, manipulate them etc. But it turns out that is not the case. They are both incredibly kind-hearted, likable characters and steal every scene they are in. When the movie was over I was so sad because I honestly cannot get enough of Stevens in this role. He plays it spot on, and even his over-acting fits perfectly. Every gesture, every face he makes, every word is so exaggerated and yet still somewhat subtle. It is honestly amazing how he found that sweet spot. To me Lemtov is one of the most loveable movie characters ever and that is mostly due to Stevens magnificent performance.
3 x in 24 hours...I love Lemtov.. the faces, expressions, the gentleman in him. He was magnificent! Smitten with this flick and Dan is incredible in every film I've seen him. Super HOT!!
It was actually surprising how much of a gentleman he actually was, considering his character almost seems like its supposed to be smug. Poor Mother Russia couldn't handle all of him.
Russian is my first language, and I have always cringed at the awful Russian accents actors do in Hollywood. But Dan did such a brilliant job, it's the only Russian accent in an English-language film that's actually good . Amazing!
Dan has done loads of audio books and his accents are always bang-on. That and being fluent in German and French helps. A very talented man that is going to go a long way! 🇬🇧🏴🏴
Actually, fell in love with him on Downton Abbey I(like millions of others), but went on severe weight-loss program after Downton Abbey for various films. He moved to the U.S. in 2013 right after DA, was on Broadway in The Heiress with Jessica Chastain and also was in "Walk Among the tombstones" with Liam Neeson. But he really had to buff up for his role in "The Guest", which he certainly did, oh my. Yes, he looks great and I'm sure is physically healthier since 2013, but to me, personally, there was something so appealing about his "softer" look in DA. He was never "fat", he just had a softer look which was dreamy. As I stated, he looks fabulous no matter what, but now he looks like so many other actors.
He was always supposed to sing this himself as he has a beautiful voice -- but then COVID came along and he was unable to get to studios. But it turned out great.
Last night the Singer Erik Mjönes sangen it live for the first time (for a tv-show, No audience alowed bc you know what). th-cam.com/video/9jerElqDPF0/w-d-xo.html
Hardly. Did you see Blithe Spirit that came out in December? His eloquent British accent is in all its glory, ala Downton Abbey. He's a great actor and dialects/languages are his forte.
As a native Russian speaker, I can definitely say Dan's Russian accent is genius !:) He nailed it!
yes, actually. it was not cheap hollywood russian accent

Dan was just perfect! Loved the movie!

He has so much charisma even on a zoom call wtf 😅
Phelie315 Right?! 😍😍
And that charisma and charm is innate -- it cannot be taught. Makes him so very special and so likeable.
It's an actor's job to have one. There is no actor without charisma.
Dan was the scene stealer in the movie so funny 😂
I agree with you on that. Even though "Mother Russia does not agree"😂😂😂😂😂
And I think Will is smart enough to give a huge chunk of screen time to Dan and Rachel.

DAN STEVENS stole the show in this👏👏👏👏👌
he nailed the singing, the character, the confidence and the accent of a Russian...did so so well. A really talented actor.
He didn't sing, unfortunately. But he actually can.
His character was totally AWESOME. Very well played.
He's amazing.

Lemtov was the actual star of the movie!!!
Dan Stevens is such a great actor!
Extremely underrated -- one of the best actors of our time.
I’ve listened to lion of love to much hahah I love that song so much!!!!
I love the film. And dan steve definitely stunning
He’s so great in the movie❤️❤️❤️
2:07 I wonder why some Russians tend say"Of course" all the time. It´s really something that feels typically Russian.
Russians also like to use words sure and indeed.
канешна.
@@user-qb4fw6jj5x это "конечно", только читает "канешна"
Vladimir да, канешна
They just teach us at school this way. Then other teachers explain that you should be very CAREFUL using 'of course', but it's too late
Dan effortlessly did his character "Alexander" he did a awesome job!. ❤️💋
Good questions! Dan Stevens is quite well-spoken!
His high intellect and all-around nice guy really shows in his interviews.
Can Dan get any better? He is superlative and yet seems to surpass himself each time!
Dan Stevens is an enormously talented actor and I watch everything he's in!
Saw you perform this song three times in a row... It was a great time and a really good laugh.
What a great interview, the interaction was great. Thank you for Sharing!!!!
Kelly G Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

I love Lion of Love, great song but also "running with the wolves" deserved to be played full version.
He killed it! He is the actor in the movie. Simply the best!
SO well acted!
Dan is looking like Ralph Fiennes all the sudden, I did not see that coming 😍
I love the statues
Love him!
Dan Stevens is my newest crush.
hah... gayyy
@@ДиттероченьБолен so?
Brent Wang -- you have EXCELLENT taste, but you have to get in line -- lol, a very, very long line!
Dan is so friendly😍
I love his character too. I wanted to know who sang his song
Erik Mjönes
Thanks
He is as the British say “Fit as Fuck!”
he kinda looks like chris evans in a way
But better, right?
Nah they both have their own charisma
Why did I never find him very attractive on Downton Abbey and now he’s totally hot? Weird.
Lost weight and dyed his hair blonde
Ikr!!!?!? Now he's gorgeous! 😍

@@JaneParkerBowls Actually, his hair is naturally light brown and they dyed it blonde for Downton Abbey.
@@Anima2101 He was ALEAYS gorgeous, dreamy actually.
I though he was Russian
It's not he who sings It's a Swedish man Erik Mjönes
If only he was really doing the singing :(

he should talk like lemtov all the time tbh
Por qué? Se deja ese estilo el es bello con ese peinado y ese bigote no se be bien
Sei bono come il pane
His english accent is like completely gone.
Hardly. Did you see Blithe Spirit that came out in December? His eloquent British accent is in all its glory, ala Downton Abbey. He's a great actor and dialects/languages are his forte.
0:36 laughed for no reason then he suddenly realized there was nothing funny about what Dan said #cringy
