Goldson's error for the first goal was absolutely shocking. They wanted too many touches on the ball when they had it, and the movement off the ball wasn't good enough to create any space.

@@benfoy5035 yes celtic gave rangers the ball and let them try break them down. Rangers could Not do it as they don't have the quality in possession. Rangers are arguably the best pressing and breaking team in the division but take that away from them and give them the ball and they can't play. Look at the Warsaw and St mirren games. Can't break down teams often enough and that will be the difference, rangers will drop points to defensive teams where I feel celtic have that little bit of cutting edge to get through teams like this.

You do realize last season Rangers beat you like 2 or three times its not hype the fact of the matter is Rangers are getting closer to Celtic year by year.
Tom Jones Chelsea couldn’t beat Wolves at all last season, doesn’t mean Wolves are a better team than them. The reality is that Rangers faced a very patched up Celtic side and beat them at home and understandably thought they were now better than them. Celtic just beat Rangers on their own pitch and only had one starting CB. Big difference between those two results.

Really surprised morelos and jones didn't start. To play no wingers from the start was very strange considering the extra man in midfield didn't do much if anything for us.
I thought davis and Flanagan were the only ones that played well. I felt sorry for arfield who constantly kept running but just didn't get the service he needed to be effective.

Jordan Jones and Morelos should have been on from the start and Daniel Candieas would have covered every blade of grass if there, he was sadly missed as too many players didnt turn up for Rangers. Best team won on the day.

Striker always alone frustrating afternoon for Defoe who got no support. Midfield not strong enough on the ball in midfield, toslow in build up.

Actually if you read my comment properly I said that’s a frustrated player who deserved to start, I’m not saying it was right but you can’t blame the guy for showing his frustration especially when you’re playing well, every time jones has came on that park he has made an impact. That is simply a player who is frustrated at lack of opportunity despite putting in the effort, Jones is one of our own who is young and has a lot to offer, he has pace and skill and good potential and is a rangers man, so as I said he has every right to be frustrated especially when it’s in the old firm one of the biggest games of the season, furthermore the fact that ojo got placed in front of him despite not having as strong of an impact as well as being a loanee from Liverpool I feel is not fair because jones has showed a lot of effort and a lot of improvement.

One of the main factors was that the celtic defence were expected to be weak and there for the taking. Instead rangers were up against 4 defenders who were fired up and played extremely well.

I think celtic showed rangers respect today and that was the difference from last season. Both games at ibrox celtic tried just to play their own game and were found out against a very good press and breaking rangers team. Celtic for once changed their game plan let rangers have the Ball and hit on the break. A sign of rangers quality that celtic adapted their game. Rangers need to learn to break teams down better you see the way they struggled against Warsaw and St mirren. Celtic took that to their advantage and were worthy winners

aribo was getting into the game unitl he was subbed off, arfield and goldson were pathetic and jones probably the most needless red card i have ever seen.

From the first kick of the ball when they put it in our corner to push us up I said they were hungry for it. We just allowed them to come at us. I was so disappointed in Aribo as I've been singing his praises but he looked so out of his depth. Worst part is we never truly challenged their defence. The one area their fans have been worried about. Hope they learn from this and get it out of their system as we will never overcome Celtic with this mentality. The first time I was looking forward to the game as I genuinely felt we could get a great result today.
Davis was the best player on the park so very harsh to mention only Flano. Wrong tactics and wrong selection IMO. Delighted with Kent signing but this still hurts..

Bad day at the office. It's a one-off result, and if I know Stevie he'll make sure we use this as a motivator to win at Porkheid. We should be keeping Hastie and recalling McCrorie in Jan, and need another attacker tomorrow. We look a bit slow in the middle of the park with Davis, Arfield and Defoe, at times. Some youthful, high-quality energy needed.

When I saw team sheets I couldn't see how we were going to score and I couldn't see them not scoring, and I'm no football genius. Very strange set up. Better learn quickly from it and move on.

1st game I've seen under Gerrard we started without a winger. Got what we deserved. Very well known Celtic RB and LB not great so why we chose to play the middle is beyond me.
