Or as he puts it, the biomass he eats becomes a part of his own biomass, after which he goes a step further by asking which part of his body Samus thought the biomass of her dead mother was in. In other words, he made the worlds worst your mum joke.
Next time I see a farm pig I'm going to mockingly tell it that it's mother's biomass has become a part of my biomass while slapping my belly and laughing. A little something for the tourists.
Also in the Sonic comics, it turns out that popular character Charmy Bee is actually the crown prince of a hive that Eggman committed genocide against, leaving Charmy with deep trauma that caused him to regress to a child-like state. His partner stays with him to look after him, but she knows that the prince she loved is basically gone. Also, everyone hates him, and Sonic once nearly abandoned him to be executed when he was kidnapped- Even when Sonic decides to save Charmy, he makes it a very clear point to say "You are not my friend".
In the "Sonic the Comic" that was released in the UK during the 90s, any time Sonic turned into Super Sonic, he would turn psychotic and try to kill anyone near him... which usually turned out to be Tails!

In the Kingdom Hearts 1 manga, the heartless literally rips out people's hearts and crushes them. In the games, it's very cartoony, with their hearts shaped like crystals floating out. But it's very gruesome in the manga for some reason. Also, the first person we see lose their heart to a heartless, is a hooker who tries to seduce Sora.

They're pretty fun and wacky though and adds more context to some scenes, like how Sora has internal dialogue so we know exactly what he's thinking during some scenes. Overall, they're more fun if you've already played the games. If not, they'll probably be more confusing.

The Zelda manga is extremely hardcore. A couple of highlights include one of the Links being almost burned alive in Four Swords, showing how Linebeck's former crew got their life force sucked out _in detail_ in Phantom Hourglass, and revealing that the dragon boss in Ocarina of Time was actually Link's pet and the nightmare that followed after he defeated it. There's probably more that I'm missing, but my goodness, do they get dark when they want to. It almost makes me wonder how brutal a Breath of the Wild manga would be. Or what they could do with Spirit Tracks and Wind Waker.
Now, I don't subscribe to draconian punishments, but ever since Link walked into my home, destroyed all my clay pots, stole all my money, and for some reason walked off with my milk, it's been enraging to see him hailed as a hero of legend. I wouldn't have chosen to cut off the hand that did the crime, but it's about time he saw some form of punishment.
You could probably fill the whole list with Sonic comic moments. Remember when Eggman basically brain killed Charmy to the point where he reverted to a child like state similar to the Charmy we see in the games? Remember when Knuckles stole everyone's souls in an alternate timeline? Remember when Eggman left Snively to die in a metal capsule? Remember the metal virus?

Speaking of comic books based on videogames, there is a hilarious one about Doom. The plot is basically "Doomguy constantly looking for bigger guns" and it has many absurd and iconic lines like "Rip and tear". However in the comic the BFG9000 shot bullets instead of energy spheres like in the game.
I love how they went "Here's a simple game about shooting demons on Mars." and went "How to we go off the deep end with this?", while people absolutely *adored* the craziness and Id decided to go full ham with it.
And also, given that the phrase "rip and tear" is so prevalent in DOOM 2016 and Eternal (even being what the Sentinels chant to honour the Slayer), as well as Doomguy canonically looking like the comic Doomguy, it's likely that the comic is actually canon to the games.

There's a lot of people talking about Assassin's Creed, which didn't so much "go off the deep end" as "forgot to put a significant amount of necessary plot in the games". I thought Revelations was going to have some sort of explanation for the ending of the previous game, turns out that explanation isn't in any game and they didn't want to pay for Lucy's voice actor anymore
OK, when you mentioned Ridley "getting nasty" in a Japanese manga, I was picturing something way, WAY worse. 😅 I would suggest a similar video about video game tie-in novels that went off the deep end. A good starting point is Mass Effect: Deception, which spawned the "cereal killer Kai Leng" meme.

there's a Lot that happens in the team fortress 2 comics, but i think the part where the spy disguised himself as tom jones and admits to the scout that he's his real father is up there on the weird and whacky scale. fantastic comics, shame they're never gonna be finished 😔
TF2 comics hit a little bit different, though, since they are the main way Valve released canonical lore for TF2. That, and TF2 as a game is kind of silly so the lore has every right to be silly as well. After all, one of the main characters is a black scottish cyclops. When that'swhat you're working with, anything goes.
I think the deep end part of that series would be the mercs getting put on death row. I use deep end loosely as all of TF2 is really stupid instead of dark. The aforementioned death row is like tossing a penny in a vault full of pennies
The TF2 comics are all fun and games, until the Team Fortress mercs show up. The TF1 mercs proceed to kill off Grey Man, kill Sniper, then after Sniper gets better murder the entire TF2 merc crew twice with Grey's robots and release an army of blood sucking bots on the population of a now helplessly weak Australia. And the worst part is the story is incomplete with no expectation of it ever being finished even if the primary writer says he completed the script years ago.

It's not exactly canon, but this reminds me of this very weird Kirby comic published in the Club Nintendo magazine in Germany in the 90s, written by the guy who did A LOT of (actual official) translations for Nintendo games. It was this Detective Noir story with Kirby as the main protagonist, which is...REALLY a massive tone shift from what we are used from Kirby. There were others as well, like a Halloween/horror themed one where Mario, Link and Kirby find Van Helsing's weapons and... well, transform into horrifying monster slayers with red eyes and sharp teeth. It features a zombified Princess Peach and Kirby as Pinhead. It was a weird time being a Nintendo kid in Germany in the 90s.
I'd like to suggest the Brazilian Mega Man comics. In short: They were written by someone who hated Mega Man and, at one point, really wanted to just murder the entire main cast and make the series about his Original Character, a scantily dressed girl with no personality outside of being annoying and boobs the size of watermelons. Also the comic was just needlessly violent and horny with Mega Man regularly hitting on Roll, who the comic flat out states, is his sister.
well Megaman and Roll are siblings in the original series and which is more evident with his original name of Rock... Rock and Roll... But yeah leave the incest for the step siblings versions of the two at the end of the series! XD megaman legends 1 & 2 have Megaman walking in on Roll changing and on her bathing.
It's a shame to ever ignore the absolute madness that is Doom 1996 Eschewing any attempt at plot for insane ramblings, outrageous violence, and a catch phrase so iconic it was used to solidify the return of Doom twenty years later in Doom 2016 - all that's left to say is RIP AND TEAR!
That's not even the weirdest/darkest moment in the Sonic comics. For example, there's a scene which reveals how Knuckles got the spikes on his hands, and it's because his father subjected him to microwave radiation whilst he was just an egg

This is an interesting one from the Assassins Creed franchise: Juno, one of the most important enemies from the old games and was hinted to return in Black Flag and Syndicate was resurrected in the comic run. Then she was killed off in the same comic.
I mean, if the Legend of Zelda games included dismemberment as a result of battle damage the way some games do, admittedly predominantly of enemies as opposed to the MC, then seeing Link lose an arm or even his head when you lose a fight in a game would be quite common.
How about the whole Med’an saga in the Warcraft comics? It was suppose to tie in with the Old God threats in the then-upcoming Cataclysm expansion, but the character they created for it became so powerful that he solved the threat (and then they just brought the threat back anyway with no explanation) and they basically Poochied him after that
If my knowledge of comics have taught me anything it’s that Sonic, being long running multi comic lines series, definitely has some weirder stuff then that.
Reminds me of a post I've seen in which someone was watching Family Guy and it was suddenly in Spanish for several minutes. Turned out to be the viewer switching the language by mistake, but that led to the idea that a language-swap skit wouldn't be out of place for this show. (Heck, is there such a skit now?)
Brilliant list! I have a suggestion for a topic: “7 times actors surprisingly reprised their roles in movie video games”. Example: Christian Bale, Michael Cane etc. in the Batman Begins Game! The behind the scenes of making that game is gold for that too

I remember the "zombie Pokemon" from Lavender Town, an Arbok melting one of them with acid, and a Charmeleon decapitating Arbok afterward. The manga was pretty metal, and I liked it better than the TV show. P.S. The elite 4 and half of the gym leaders were evil.

I think the people writing the Elden Ring comics saw the Critical Role promotional oneshot for the game, saw the bit about summoning horses on top of each other to make a horse-stack and went "Hmmm, curious but fun, let's make our tone EXACTLY like that!"

The absolute bonkers thing is the Street Fighter 2 Malibu comic CONTINUED in Brazil! It features some weird art choices and a lot of, *ahem*, fan service. I believe they've been fan translated, but there's also a few videos on here that surmise the plots and show some wacky panels!
You know what funny? Our book store puts Pokémon Adventures/Special in with the kids section. After having read the series over the many years, it's safe to say that it's not for kids. Like, not at all. I've told them many times, only for them to say, "yeah right. It's Pokémon."
Oh the Archie Sonic comics gets WAAAAY weirder than that. What about the story where Sonic’s kids gets erased from existence and Shadow takes over the world and steals Sonic’s wife and Tails finds Sonic lying in a dumpster, crying out to a goddess who doesn’t exist because Shadow made her up? Also Sonic-adjacent there was the Streets of Rage comic in the Sonic the Comic series, which was a different comic book by Fleetway which had a series of SEGA-based comics for kids. Anyway in one of the early stories of the Streets of Rage comics they explode a den of drug dealers which may not entirely appropriate for a children’s comic.
"officially licensed" is a good caveat. This is pretty tame compared to some fan creations. Especially if you include the stuff in the category best described as "rule 34"

There is a manga which was published about Sekiro shadows die twice which takes place before the events of the game. The main character is Hanbei the Undying, he's the guy you meet near the beginning of the game who teaches the player how to fight.
The Skyward Sword prequel comic, where the original Link, not the one from the game, is tortured by the proto-Hylians he is sworn to protect, and then sent to die soloing the horde of evil creatures.
oh, i've actually READ that Sonic comic! and at the end, the mysterious person who sent Sonic to that strange dimension reveals that HE HIMSELF is an alternate version of Sonic, named "Zonic"!
The Oxbox team should do a list of games with TV/anime or movie adaptation(s). Cyberpunk Edge runners, Sonic the Hedgehog and Devil May Cry are examples of this.

I actually have read both the twilight princess and metroid manga lol the metroid one was so long ago that i dont remember much about it but i do remember it being about the chozo in the beginning. As for TP, I love the manga and...weirdly forgot that was a thing? Was it censored out of the official English release or something? Dont recall him ever missing an arm even briefly...
as awkward zombie pinted out, Ridly especially stand sout among the majority of nintendo franchise villains, who on the whole are generally cartoony, goofy and not seen particularly seriously, mostly bowser honestly but because of that nintendo has a bit of a 'vibe' because of mario. However Ridley ISN'T goofy, or harmless, or even particuarly honourable. he's an evil dragon alien man who murders people. He's not gonna go go-karting with anyone because he's a legit pscyhopath who MURDERED Samus' parents.

The Elden Ring one honestly seems the most fitting, because while it isn't really in tone with the game itself, it is absolutely in tone with how players approach the game at times. One of my more memorable fights in Elden Ring is when I was fighting a magma wyrm in an area I wasn't supposed to be yet, and the only way I could defeat it was to strip all my clothes off so that my gear weight was light so I could dodge more efficiently.
I mean, amnesiac character saying "wtf is going on and what drugs did you give me?" is every new player. I showed my husband the Two Fingers when I met it and his face was priceless... 🤣. Comedy is totally the right genre for a manga about this game.
Honestly his whole long term story arc made me want to drive to Archie headquarters and strangle Ken Penders back in the day. Actually I wanted to do that alot before I stopped reading it
One thing I’d like to mention is from the comics for Assassin’s Creed, in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Juno is basically hyped up as another big bad for the series after the Lydia Frye bonus chapter set in WW1. Through data files in the same game we also find out Desmond Miles had a son he never knew about who’s also a sage named Elijah. Then in a comic book called Assassin’s Creed Uprising Elijah’s mother is killed by one of Juno’s cultists and abducted by him. It’s too much to explain without rambling on too much but Elijah ends up killing Juno at the end of the comic as revenge for his mother’s death. So Juno who was hyped up as a big bad In Syndicate and Black Flag is killed unceremoniously in a comic book and it’s cannon so she’s dead and never coming back.
The Grey was set up as such a massive thing and it amounted to nothing in-game, sure they're starting to integrate more things from auxiliary media into the games but they could've at least made Juno's death happen in the games rather than a comic
Ahhh the deep DEEP well that is Sonic Comic's. The US ones were pretty funky (like the mentioned one) but the UK ones also had their fair share of WTF moments. Like how Super Sonic was a crazy version of Sonic with spiral eyes and at one time tried to kill Amy, or the time Robotnik ran a simulation where it showed the Death Egg BLASTING AWAY TAILS. Like completely atomized, and then Sonic, and we saw it in all its glory...fun times.
Can we talk for a second about the Dead Space comics that didn't even feature the main character Isaac Clarke? But all kidding aside,the Sonic comics from Archie were actually really underrated if not bizarre.

To the best of my knowledge, Samus Aran holds the record for character with the most dead genetic parents. (Spoilers for Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, & Metroid Dread below) Samus' human parents both died in the comic, as you mentioned. When the chozo gave Samus access to their tech, they had to give her some chozo genetics, so Old Bird and Raven Beak both donated some of their own blood to upgrade Samus' genes, allowing her to become the chozo warrior she's become, able to wield chozo tech. Old Bird died at some point, and Raven Beak died by Samus' own arm cannon at the end of Metroid Dread. Samus found the baby metroid at the end of Metroid 2, who imprinted on her as its mother. She gave it to a human lab at the start of Super Metroid, and it sacrificed itself to save Samus' life from Mother Brain at the end of Super Metroid. When Samus was infected by an X parasite at the start of Metroid Fusion, she was infused with some of the saved DNA from that baby metroid. So now Samus' genetic code is a combination of five different beings' genetic codes, all of which are dead. She was born human, and is now both the last chozo warrior and the last metroid. (Since we've seen Samus crawl in Metroid Zero Mission, this confirms that now, finally, Metroid can finally crawl.) The last metroid is Samus. Is the galaxy at peace?
I would have included the Fortnite Zero War comics because 1. The Imagined x Wolverine 2. Big story revelations in a comic making it even harder to understand the Fortnite story 3. Killing off a main character after only just introducing them the season prior 4. Making Geno and the I.O good guys when they clearly are not because they have kidnapped people to trap them in the loop and did not think twice about making a device that would destroy everything in the loop and 5. The Devourer being a t-rex but I don't imagine the people illustrating the comic were given a reference for the devourer so they just had to make their own version
I feel like someone dared the creator of Elden Ring to find a way to make all those 'Finger but hole' messages actually make sense with the dark and serious setting. The answer was a gag comic depicting the alternate reality protagonist and author of presumbly most if not all these troll messages, Which now having this knowledge serve as near constant reminder that you are infact in the darkest possible timeline

Speaking of comic books based on videogames, there is a hilarious one about Doom. The plot is basically "Doomguy constantly looking for bigger guns" and it has many absurd and iconic lines like "Rip and tear". However in the comic the BFG9000 shot bullets instead of energy spheres like in the game.
What a fun comic. Bonus since people can read it on the Internet.

There's a lot of people talking about Assassin's Creed, which didn't so much "go off the deep end" as "forgot to put a significant amount of necessary plot in the games". I thought Revelations was going to have some sort of explanation for the ending of the previous game, turns out that explanation isn't in any game and they didn't want to pay for Lucy's voice actor anymore

I would suggest a similar video about video game tie-in novels that went off the deep end. A good starting point is Mass Effect: Deception, which spawned the "cereal killer Kai Leng" meme.

there's a Lot that happens in the team fortress 2 comics, but i think the part where the spy disguised himself as tom jones and admits to the scout that he's his real father is up there on the weird and whacky scale. fantastic comics, shame they're never gonna be finished 😔
TF2 comics hit a little bit different, though, since they are the main way Valve released canonical lore for TF2. That, and TF2 as a game is kind of silly so the lore has every right to be silly as well. After all, one of the main characters is a black scottish cyclops. When that'swhat you're working with, anything goes.
I think the deep end part of that series would be the mercs getting put on death row. I use deep end loosely as all of TF2 is really stupid instead of dark. The aforementioned death row is like tossing a penny in a vault full of pennies
The TF2 comics are all fun and games, until the Team Fortress mercs show up. The TF1 mercs proceed to kill off Grey Man, kill Sniper, then after Sniper gets better murder the entire TF2 merc crew twice with Grey's robots and release an army of blood sucking bots on the population of a now helplessly weak Australia. And the worst part is the story is incomplete with no expectation of it ever being finished even if the primary writer says he completed the script years ago.
@@khamjaninja. all 8 survivors from the 2 games are carriers. even francis thought he was immune since he got bit during his backstory as well as louise. the most tragic story has got to be zoey as she was forced to kill her family and bill's just plain bad ass fought an entire horde of infected from the hospital on his way to his old home while under the effects of heavy anasthesia during a storm.

It's not exactly canon, but this reminds me of this very weird Kirby comic published in the Club Nintendo magazine in Germany in the 90s, written by the guy who did A LOT of (actual official) translations for Nintendo games. It was this Detective Noir story with Kirby as the main protagonist, which is...REALLY a massive tone shift from what we are used from Kirby.
There were others as well, like a Halloween/horror themed one where Mario, Link and Kirby find Van Helsing's weapons and... well, transform into horrifying monster slayers with red eyes and sharp teeth. It features a zombified Princess Peach and Kirby as Pinhead. It was a weird time being a Nintendo kid in Germany in the 90s.

I'd like to suggest the Brazilian Mega Man comics.
In short: They were written by someone who hated Mega Man and, at one point, really wanted to just murder the entire main cast and make the series about his Original Character, a scantily dressed girl with no personality outside of being annoying and boobs the size of watermelons.
Also the comic was just needlessly violent and horny with Mega Man regularly hitting on Roll, who the comic flat out states, is his sister.

This is an interesting one from the Assassins Creed franchise: Juno, one of the most important enemies from the old games and was hinted to return in Black Flag and Syndicate was resurrected in the comic run. Then she was killed off in the same comic.

I mean, if the Legend of Zelda games included dismemberment as a result of battle damage the way some games do, admittedly predominantly of enemies as opposed to the MC, then seeing Link lose an arm or even his head when you lose a fight in a game would be quite common.
pretty sure we're about to see Links arm go bye bye in Tears of the Kingdom, so it'll have happened in one of the games here before long too.

How about the whole Med’an saga in the Warcraft comics? It was suppose to tie in with the Old God threats in the then-upcoming Cataclysm expansion, but the character they created for it became so powerful that he solved the threat (and then they just brought the threat back anyway with no explanation) and they basically Poochied him after that

I think the people writing the Elden Ring comics saw the Critical Role promotional oneshot for the game, saw the bit about summoning horses on top of each other to make a horse-stack and went "Hmmm, curious but fun, let's make our tone EXACTLY like that!"

Also Sonic-adjacent there was the Streets of Rage comic in the Sonic the Comic series, which was a different comic book by Fleetway which had a series of SEGA-based comics for kids. Anyway in one of the early stories of the Streets of Rage comics they explode a den of drug dealers which may not entirely appropriate for a children’s comic.

There is a manga which was published about Sekiro shadows die twice which takes place before the events of the game. The main character is Hanbei the Undying, he's the guy you meet near the beginning of the game who teaches the player how to fight.
The Skyward Sword prequel comic, where the original Link, not the one from the game, is tortured by the proto-Hylians he is sworn to protect, and then sent to die soloing the horde of evil creatures.
Wait, what happens to link after that? Does the arm get re-attached? Or does he literally spend the rest of his life fighting with one hand missing?
He gets his arm reattached. The manga is actually really good. It’s a big departure from the game, but a fun read in its own right.

I actually have read both the twilight princess and metroid manga lol the metroid one was so long ago that i dont remember much about it but i do remember it being about the chozo in the beginning. As for TP, I love the manga and...weirdly forgot that was a thing? Was it censored out of the official English release or something? Dont recall him ever missing an arm even briefly...

as awkward zombie pinted out, Ridly especially stand sout among the majority of nintendo franchise villains, who on the whole are generally cartoony, goofy and not seen particularly seriously, mostly bowser honestly but because of that nintendo has a bit of a 'vibe' because of mario.
However Ridley ISN'T goofy, or harmless, or even particuarly honourable. he's an evil dragon alien man who murders people. He's not gonna go go-karting with anyone because he's a legit pscyhopath who MURDERED Samus' parents.

You could honestly make a whole episode focusing on just the Pokemon manga, but I'd say Norman dying in Ruby's arms after reconciling with him, followed by Maxie and Archie burning his corpse in front of Ruby is probably up there in "wtf" levels
The Elden Ring one honestly seems the most fitting, because while it isn't really in tone with the game itself, it is absolutely in tone with how players approach the game at times. One of my more memorable fights in Elden Ring is when I was fighting a magma wyrm in an area I wasn't supposed to be yet, and the only way I could defeat it was to strip all my clothes off so that my gear weight was light so I could dodge more efficiently.
I mean, amnesiac character saying "wtf is going on and what drugs did you give me?" is every new player. I showed my husband the Two Fingers when I met it and his face was priceless... 🤣. Comedy is totally the right genre for a manga about this game.
I understand that Sonic has a variety to choose from and while your choice is good the first should always be the very existence of Geoffrey St. John.
Honestly his whole long term story arc made me want to drive to Archie headquarters and strangle Ken Penders back in the day. Actually I wanted to do that alot before I stopped reading it

One thing I’d like to mention is from the comics for Assassin’s Creed, in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Juno is basically hyped up as another big bad for the series after the Lydia Frye bonus chapter set in WW1. Through data files in the same game we also find out Desmond Miles had a son he never knew about who’s also a sage named Elijah. Then in a comic book called Assassin’s Creed Uprising Elijah’s mother is killed by one of Juno’s cultists and abducted by him. It’s too much to explain without rambling on too much but Elijah ends up killing Juno at the end of the comic as revenge for his mother’s death. So Juno who was hyped up as a big bad In Syndicate and Black Flag is killed unceremoniously in a comic book and it’s cannon so she’s dead and never coming back.

The Grey was set up as such a massive thing and it amounted to nothing in-game, sure they're starting to integrate more things from auxiliary media into the games but they could've at least made Juno's death happen in the games rather than a comic

Ahhh the deep DEEP well that is Sonic Comic's. The US ones were pretty funky (like the mentioned one) but the UK ones also had their fair share of WTF moments. Like how Super Sonic was a crazy version of Sonic with spiral eyes and at one time tried to kill Amy, or the time Robotnik ran a simulation where it showed the Death Egg BLASTING AWAY TAILS. Like completely atomized, and then Sonic, and we saw it in all its glory...fun times.

To the best of my knowledge, Samus Aran holds the record for character with the most dead genetic parents. (Spoilers for Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, & Metroid Dread below)
Samus' human parents both died in the comic, as you mentioned. When the chozo gave Samus access to their tech, they had to give her some chozo genetics, so Old Bird and Raven Beak both donated some of their own blood to upgrade Samus' genes, allowing her to become the chozo warrior she's become, able to wield chozo tech. Old Bird died at some point, and Raven Beak died by Samus' own arm cannon at the end of Metroid Dread. Samus found the baby metroid at the end of Metroid 2, who imprinted on her as its mother. She gave it to a human lab at the start of Super Metroid, and it sacrificed itself to save Samus' life from Mother Brain at the end of Super Metroid. When Samus was infected by an X parasite at the start of Metroid Fusion, she was infused with some of the saved DNA from that baby metroid.
So now Samus' genetic code is a combination of five different beings' genetic codes, all of which are dead. She was born human, and is now both the last chozo warrior and the last metroid. (Since we've seen Samus crawl in Metroid Zero Mission, this confirms that now, finally, Metroid can finally crawl.)
The last metroid is Samus. Is the galaxy at peace?
I would have included the Fortnite Zero War comics because
1. The Imagined x Wolverine
2. Big story revelations in a comic making it even harder to understand the Fortnite story
3. Killing off a main character after only just introducing them the season prior
4. Making Geno and the I.O good guys when they clearly are not because they have kidnapped people to trap them in the loop and did not think twice about making a device that would destroy everything in the loop
and 5. The Devourer being a t-rex but I don't imagine the people illustrating the comic were given a reference for the devourer so they just had to make their own version
I feel like someone dared the creator of Elden Ring to find a way to make all those 'Finger but hole' messages actually make sense with the dark and serious setting. The answer was a gag comic depicting the alternate reality protagonist and author of presumbly most if not all these troll messages, Which now having this knowledge serve as near constant reminder that you are infact in the darkest possible timeline

Im still mad about what they did to Juno in the Assassin’s Creed series. Biggest villain we see in the game and she gets KILLED OFF in a comic book (AC Uprising).
I was really annoyed about that too, comic book anthologies are pretty expensive so it would've been nice if it could've been resolved in Syndicate
