For anyone checking the band for the first time off of this song (as I had done), I recommend first the third album Twilight cinema, introduces you to the band's range, but keeping mostly in spirit with roller coaster, then the first self-titled Major Parkinson album, much wilder and rockier with insanely good lyrics, followed either by Blackbox if you preferred the darker, slower tones of the third album, which are constitutive of its atmosphere, or you can go through the second album Songs from a solitary home, which is a transition proper. Definitely Valesa last as it is a severe genre leap to electro-pop, although if that's your kink graciously disregard my uninitiated ordering.
The song is based on the Euthanasia Roller Coaster, a concept by Julijonas Urbonas in 2010 for a steel roller coaster that would kill its occupants through extreme g forces. What a great song!
@@mikereiss4216 There's an idea. It'd have to be contrived so as to catch the falling bodies before they could hit the sidewalk, and funnel them into a well-drained collection system.
The concept of a euthenasia roller coaster is so freaking interesting. It was designed, but never built. I imagine alot of the people who got on it would regret it at the top, just before the drop.
This band deserves more love,

How this is not more popular, eludes my understanding....
One of the best songs ever written.
I'll give you a +1 on that - one of the songs of the decade so far for me, and perfect for the time of year.

Haakon Gran I read that the incline would take 2min to climb and at the top passengers could get off at that point if they choose.
Discovered these guys a month ago and haven't stopped listening since. Amazing songwriting. Come play a gig in the UK :)
Hey Chris, hope you've seen that they're playing 4 dates in September 2018!
My friend and I will see you guys there! :)

This must be the happiest sounding song about death that there is.

You Guys R Fire! Can't wait for my copy of Valesa!
One of the best norwegian bands of all time. So sad one of the guitarists left to pursue his career in "norwegian idol" instead....
