I'm here for Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Burnout 3 Takedown,a great combination in both, even though they are very different in very aspects,a chaotic city, and a chaotic race, nothing better than this legendary combination
Not the first Franz Ferdinand song I've heard used in an anime (I remember one of their songs used as the ED for Paradise Kiss, which I watched as a teenager), but it makes for a surprisingly great anime opening and I'm glad more people are getting introduced to the band from Cyberpunk Edgerunners. "You don't say" Would've fit better.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners - perfect song to use 👌
oh shit, i thought i recognized this song lol
Ive known this song for a long time. My brother used to love Franz Ferdinand. Then I heard it in Burnout 3, then in Edgerunners. Glad to see this banger is still alive and noticed.
This song never ceases to make me happy and want to jump around
I'm here for Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Burnout 3 Takedown,a great combination in both, even though they are very different in very aspects,a chaotic city, and a chaotic race, nothing better than this legendary combination
The second i heard it on the end of first ep i was so surprised
Cyberpunk series was so good ESP if u played the game then it hit even more
interesting,i wasn't sure if the game was good because of the bugs, but now i will definitely give a try
I first came to this video cuz of my burnout nostalgia, funny how I'm back here again cuz of edgerunner
What a weird time to be alive
It blew my mind to hear one of my favorite bands showing up as the opening song in one of the best anime I've seen in years. What a trip.
I honestly hope for anime use older songs or songs from other countries, since they're almost always make for good or at least interesting OPs/EDs.
This album came out when I was 24. This song and Take Me Out were perfection! I'd love to see a resurgence of post-punk revival garage style bands. I miss this genre. The Killers, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes and Franz.... The chef's kiss!
@Samuel Powell Thank you! I'll definitely check them out. I'm always looking for artists of this genre
I thought you were talking the song about take me out somewhere nice by mogwai (which are also glagow based) also really recommend to listen to their song glasgow mega-snake also really suggest to listen to temporex - nice boys and nesicha by uzi navon not the same vibe but still worth checking
Totally agree Jamie, we need another retro revolution kinda like people did with 80's music and synths but for alt rock/pop
Don't forget Interpol, Bloc Party, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The National, and The Hives
@@SOMeDoOD1992 The Strokes' recent album is everything you wanted.
Burnout Takedown 3 and Cyberpunk Edgerunners ♥😎
Literally the most "radical youth" combination possible, with this song!
Great band with a really distinct sound. Love it.
This played on Spotify today in the gym 💪🏻 and I realized I haven’t heard this song since the mid 2000s. Holy crap. I missed this band.
i saw them live and i have to say that is was the best show i ever seen, they are mind blowing and i saw great bands like Oasis, Radiohead or Blur live and there is no comparation.
Damn that is high praise indeed.
The way the cut the "burn this city" part in the anime opening
really show that no one stand a chance to night city
One of the best concerts i've ever been. Thanks from Bulgaria
its really hard to believe that this song just has 11 million views, crazy! the definition of being slept on istg
I saw them back in 2019 and I can surely say it was one of the best experiences of my life.
Great musicians, great performance, great energy! ♥️
Saw this song live in Montreal as a finale. It. Was. Amazing.
Why are all their videos so high production ? that's amazing
The anime industry loves Franz Ferdinand for some reason.
Eyes, boring a way into me
Eyes
, Destroying so sweetly
Now there is a fire in me
A fire that burns
This fire is out of control
I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
This fire is out of control
This fire is out of control
and I burn
Eyes burning the way through me
Paralyse, controlling completely
Now there is a fire in me
A fire that burns
This fire is out of control
I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
Then I'm, I'm out of control and I burn
Oh, how I burn for you
Burn, oh, how I burn for you
Burn, how I burn
How I burn, oh, how I
burn
This fire is out of control
I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
We're gonna to burn this city, burn this city
This fire is out of control
We're gonna to burn it, I'll burn it, I, I, I'll burn it down
Thanks
Thank you kind sir
Loved this when I was a kid, now that it's the Cyberpunk anime opening, I love it even more!
As a kid this used to play on burnout 3 lol now I'm back here again cuz of edgerunner
Glad to see this song opening up more horizons for people. I've been listening to this band for 4 years. Every time you listen to them its candy for your ears.

When I heard this song in the OP for Edgerunners I was a bit disappointed when I didn't hear
"This fire is out of control, I'm gonna burn this city"
Felt like that line would fit the show the most.
It was foreshadowing.
He didn't burn the city with his passion.
The city withstands it while the fire burns him from the inside out.
kid in the 2000s: plays burnout 3
kid in the 2020s: watch cyberpunk when my parents weren't around
I found out around the time of Burnout 3 takedown
Also Guitar Hero
Puro Otaku lo descubren por esa madre
Los verdaderos lo descubrieron por burnout 3 XD
I can't believe this is 20 years old 😅 it feels like yesterday when it came out. And I can't believe that after 20 years I'll be finally able to see them live in November 🥹
Lmao when I heard this song on Cyberpunk Edgerunners I was like "Massive Franz Ferdinand vibes, god damn"
Then I find out that this song is 12 YEARS OLD and from their debut. Amazing.
Debut is from 2004. Very mid-00s
I genuinely love this song and am so glad it's getting love thanks to cyberpunk
one of the most memorable songs from the concert I saw, had everyone yelling burn this city
Cyberpunk Edgerunners made me fall in love with this song.
I love it when anime studios uses English music in their anime
Can't blame anime because the game from American... So studio my a little follow idea from the game
@@therattrap1997 no I actually do like it. I wish more studio would use English music in anime OPs and Ed's
JoJo always use western song as their ED
also this is the 2nd time FF featured in anime, the 1st was Paradise Kiss ED
@@therattrap1997 you mean from polish
Me pasó igual. Ha pasado mucho tiempo xD
yo los conoci gracias a cyberpunk god anime y god musica
Yo los escucho desde los 10 años, en 2004
