If you give some tips and someone follows them and falls ofd then thats on them. If they dont understand that then also on them. Carry on describing in detail what you do bro. You can never please everyone but as long as it helps you then do it. 👏👏👏
Right on my friend, but self accountability is a thing of the past nowadays. It's sad that we even have to think about a disclaimer. I do like to help people where I can and will start doing a little more now that I feel I have a good understanding of this ADV bike madness. Just don't ask me what bike to choose, I still struggle with that one.😆
I think the pros should be where you get the base of your learning or skills. For me, the average joe will keep expectations real and remind you that unless you train like a pro you will very likely not be on that level.
well, i missed the mark on something that "doesn't cost to much" LOL. tips are always helpful and I prolly watch some of the same guys as you for basics, I'd also like to go take a class this year.
😆 yeah i heard that. HD= Hunnit Dollas. No matter what. The Husky shouldn’t be as bad though. Same here. A class and possibly a hair scramble or 2. We shall see.
@@BigDaveTALKS Yep. But I do make sure to check out vids from dirt riders of all skills and bike sizes. You can never know too much. :) It sounds like you guys are going to have a heck of a journey this year! I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes for you.
@Land-Shark Yeah when I started down the DIRT road, I watched everyone and actually got an information overload. Then I had to stop and just go practice one thing at a time. My friend, it will be an adventure for sure. I only have a small portion planned out which will be about 3 days. Then we will have 7 more days to figure out where we will actually go. I mean I have a plan, but as you well know, plans just have a mind of their own sometimes.
Thanks, that’s good to know. From what i hear most of their stuff is pretty good. Yeah i typically do the same thing. When I see someone like myself giving advice I will dig into their content to see if they can actually ride in different terrain and on different bikes, basically to see if they practice what they preach/ teach.
😆 yeah it took me a while to just drop all sense of responsibility and consequences to do that 🤪. Another interesting thing, it’s much easier and quicker to get to that speed on the T7 than the 1290. The 1290 has so much power it just wants to spin in every gear.
Bingo. Man I will hate getting rid of the 1290. Like you hinted at with your Yamaha GP, which is something I never thought I’d hear. But if it isn’t being ridden, then it’s just in the way.
@@BigDaveTALKS Yup, it sucks to have spent money on a bike to then not use it enough... but it is also good to have had them to try them out to see if they are what you want or not. I'll not make my mind up on the XSR until spring when I can get back out on it and see if it is just a mood swing, or if it is the bike that I am not gelling with.
Ya got that right. LOL..mood swing and I know the feeling. That sounds like a good plan. I will probably take the 1290 on a trip in the spring as well, but to be honest, I may be keeping it with the KTM turmoil going on. Nothing but lowball offers and even the dealers are having a hard time moving them, especially the high dollar bikes. Wait a minute, is there actually a low dollar KTM😂.

Helpful hints and tips are always welcome.
I agree, I may start putting something together.
I have a KTM 1190 and a yz450 it’s awesome switching over back and fourth
I agree. I love riding my TX300 and when I hit the back roads on my 1290 or T7 it is way more enjoyable, especially if I want to get a little crazy.
Wassup fellas been a while I take info from Adam as well but those pro dirt bike riders have awesome advice as well

Determination breeds skills. :)
Yup, and i would assume that’s how a lot of started out. Just getting it done.

CNC crash bars are great and solid. I tried them on each side 😂. I always take advice from veterans ….and try to do it and see if it works for me.

@ I was never disappointed by Nice CNC. I have crash bars, door pegs and bare riser
Good deal. I’ll probably get the bars just to have another place to 1: mount my camera and B: to put my feet on them long stretches of pavement.
Same as you…I take a little bit from everyone.
That’s the best way IMO. Try different things till you find what works for you and your riding style.
I think the fastest I've been on a dirt road is around 45mph, 100 would scare the hell outta me 😀
