In general with Mamamoo, live performances is where it's at. They are fantastic on record, but live they shine out of this world. A good place to start is the (by this point) classic Immortal Songs Medley, where they just let it rip on stage with some old Korean hits. Highly recommend that one. Also, you should absolutely visit some of the earlier songs, there are a bunch of excellent ones in there to choose from.
i think they chose wheein to harmonize with moonbyul’s rap because she has the highest voice in the group while moonbyul has the lowest. and that contrast is beautiful
Wheein is an Ace. If you watch behind scene stuff, all the Memebers talk about how she can do anything. Here is what I see. Hwasa is the draw. Intimate, but commanding. Moonbyul is sass and edge. The bad boy, but "Not once you et to know them." Solar is Candy, and Icing and Glitter and tinsel. The shiny 🍎. Wheein is the Anchor and Keystone that ties it all together. She has a voice, a sense of rhythm, and a mastery of her instrument, which, with the subtlest of tweaks, can bridge all the other voices and cadences. She is Dr Frankenstein.
Interesting take. Agree for the most part, except Solar is more than just the glitter and icing, she's like the piece de resistance while Wheein is the entree and Hwasa is the hor d'oeuvres. Moonbyul then becomes the dessert in this half-baked analogy, but I'm not sure how to make it better. No one is the soup, salad, or vegetable dish in this mega lineup.

I love all the Killing Voice performances but there's something special about Mamamoo's that it has a special place in my heart, I don't get tired of it. It's been a long time and I hope they do another one some day. Makes me sad that I became a fan so late because I could've seen them live in the past... at least I got to see Moon Byul on her solo tour and she truly has an incredible voice, both for singing and rapping, she is very versatile in that regards. A total goof as well, just all the members as you can see here, I think that's part of what makes them so special as well, they can just be themselves, have fun, and yet deliver a stunning performance. especially because you seem to have loved this KV I highly recommend that you react to the killing voice by Big Mama. they are this R&B first GEN Korean vocal group. I believe they were under YG initially. Such distinct vocal colors, but blend so well together they remind me so much of Mamamoo. all four members are currently professors at Korean universities.
They are just amazing & much better live. Nothing compares, it's even better than their recorded songs. Mamamoo is even the reason why Killing Voice was created. Solar emailed them and wanted to be in Killing Verse but it was only for rappers, so they created Killing Voice and they are the first to guest here 💯

I'm not sure if it's the reason they have Wheein harmonizing with Moonbyul, but if you take Wheein's voice and lower the pitch it's very hard to tell it from Moonbyul's. Looking at what you've reacted to going back to the beginning looks like a good idea. But first, wonderful as the Killing Voice is their ultimate vocal flex is the Immortal Songs medley. This is a concert clip from 2017 and is completely safe to react to. Immortal Songs is a competition show where the participants cover songs by famous Korean artists (so the medley is of covers, though often Moonbyul's part is original if there was no rap in the song). Mamamoo was the first girl group to win and first idol group of either sex to win more than once. They appeared 14 times plus one solo appearance by Solar and won 3 times. Unfortunately reactions to the performances on the show will be blocked unless your clever with altering the video. But watch those for your own enjoment they are all amazing as well. Jumping back to early Mamamoo, their debut Mr Ambiguous, Piano Man, Woo Hoo are some stand outs. A note on early Mamamoo to find the version with subtitles you must search on the Mamamoo site.
