- Hello everyone and welcome to the first God of War video on this channel. After a long time of wanting to make this kind of content myself, I caved in and decided to give it a shot! I plan to improve as I go, but hopefully you guys will enjoy my full overview of the Valkyries within the lore of God of War.
The Valkyries in God of War are female warrior spirits who seemed to have been locked away and imprisoned in a physical form. But who were they and what was their responsibility? All that and more is explained in this video. Plus, what their potential role could be during Ragnarök!

Now Gunnr being so enthusiastic about ripping Gná’s spine off makes more sense
Fun fact: Hildr is most likely also the valkyrie we see in the MCU, where she is called Brunnhilde

Is it just me or even Santa Monica ignores the fact that, even in their own canon, the Valkyries are more formidable adversaries than Odin and Thor. ? I felt like this wasn't shown enough in Ragnarok. I also feel like the fight with Freya as Vanadis should've been just as hard as Sigrun to keep up with canon 😐
Or maybe Kratos is so powerful that the Norse adversaries are slightly less difficult for him to defeat than they would be for anyone else.
It wouldn’t be fair to those who played raganarok as their first GoW game. The difficulty wouldn’t tally a standard game for casual players.
You could make the case that because these Valkraies and been put into this corrupted psychical form it makes then substantially more powerful
It wouldn’t be the first time God of War has confusing canon and story some of the prequel games in Greece really muddy the canon
it wouldn’t make sense game-wise to make the valkyries more “final bossy” than thor and odin though
I waited for when the actual video starts and the decoy ends and I'm surprised yet it is a great video

In God of war Ragnarok should have more Valkyries in asgard protecting Odin instead of just 3 of them it's not possible that there wasn't a group of Valkyries that would follow Odin's/ the Queen Gná orders and the other part of Freya/Frigg And ex queen Sigrun Very strange,it was supposed to have a maximum of 10 or more Valkyries in Asgard And yet 2 Creatures that are not in this game the mysterious wolf Horofiltner and the Kraken + the return of the dragons that we saved in the first game and they have connections with the dragon slayers Beowulf,Sigurd and Siegfried Very sad that it happened this way l Wanted to see a lot more news Valkyries with new names 🤔🥺😭 like and Bye!
