What an amazing outstanding waterfall you took us to. Additionally I appreciate the dedication of those that rescued, preserved and relocated the various ancient rock art petroglyphs. Thank you for sharing these pieces of historical value depicting a culture in time long gone. 🪶
A few weeks ago I was visiting my son and grandson in eastern WA and woke up on a Saturday morning knowing I wanted to go to the rain forest side of WA. Before I even got out of bed I opened up youtube and you had just uploaded this video! I got up and said, "I know where we are going!" We had a lovely weekend visiting Stonehenge, "hiking" to the waterfall and camping on top of the mountain in my SUV I have just begun "converting." It was absolutely awesome. Thank you for the videos :)
Welcome to PNW, as a native Oregonian, the Gorge is one of our favorite places to hike and explore. Beautiful falls!! Angel's rest and Dog mountain are two of our favorite hikes for beautiful, expansive views of the river. Dog mountain has amazing wildflowers, they should be in full bloom right now! Enjoy your visit!!
Where in the Sam Hill is Sam Hill buried? Just about 100 yards down slope from the Stonehenge memorial. I don't know if you saw it or not but it's interesting for Sam Hill, per Wikipedia writes, " (13 May 1857 - 26 February 1931), usually known as , was an American businessman, lawyer, railroad executive, and advocate of good roads. He substantially influenced the Pacific Northwest region's economic development in the early 20th century.
I love watching your journeys. You have shown some incredibly awesome places that I can't wait to go to. But, I am thrilled that you are here in my home state, showcasing the beauty that we have. I've spent many nights in the Gifford Pinchot forest and find the drive well worth it.
So great to see old haunting grounds...having lived in Portland for 30 years and now heading back shortly to be with family and to gather myself for a potential van life in the years ahead. The Gorge is just one of the most amazingly beautiful places on Earth, such a confluence of unique natural and manmade features.
Really enjoyed that Tristan. So many interesting places you saw that one doesn't hear about much. My favorite bit was the hike up the rock. How that guy constructed that trail without killing himself in the process is pretty amazing
We took our travel trailer to Washington state many years ago. It was truly a really enjoyable trip. The areas outside of any major city is spectacular!
Nice to see you back in the PNW. Great waterfall and views. 😎👍☮️ I like that Stonehenge replica. It's cool that it's an exact replica, rather then just replicating the ruins. Too bad he didn't build it out of real stones though, instead of concrete.
Panther Creek falls were amazing. Thanks for the super slow pan there. My eyes are trying to take in everything and the falls were so diverse in how they split.
Beautiful waterfall, just spectacular and you found another Devil’s Tower! Worth the climb up to get that view and now we get our butts down rapido. Another great video Tristan.
Gorgeous is right! So glad you took us here! The Columbia River Gorge is amazing. Building that Beacon Rock trail was a labor of love. I am fascinated by the petroglyphs. I'm sorry they were moved, but otherwise they would be under water near a dam.
I’ve driven past the turn off for Panther Creek Falls many times on my way to XC ski in the Wind River area, but had no idea it was so beautiful. Now it’s on my list of things to see. Thanks for showing me the beauty in my own back yard.
Thanks for the great video! The timing couldn't have been better. Just last night I received a call from my uncle inviting my husband and I to spend a few days with them at a cabin they rented in that area! We'll definitely explore some of the places you visited.
If we have an unusually long streak of rainy and/or gray days, I hop onto I-84 and drive east until I reach sunshine in Hood River. I can eat outside a pub, watch crazy wind surfers, and head back to fight another day (of rain lol).
Welcome again to Washington, our neck of the woods. There is so much diversity of environments in this state. Ocean, deserts, canyons, mountains, rain forests, and inner coastal waterways. Check out the indigenous people's cultural sites when you can - as you already have. I'm looking forward to your take on your travels here.
Hello SUV Rving😊😊, I have very fond memories of my cross country road from RI to Seattle and we visited many National Parks on the way and one of those beautiful places was Multnomah Falls on the Oregon side of the gorge...and it was SPECTACULAR! When I visit the Pacific Northwest again I will hike to each of the several waterfalls. Great video👍👍👍👍!
Thank you for your great videos. When I lived in Portland, I hiked Beacon Rock many times. It was one of my favorite hikes. My other favorite hike was Ramona Falls near Mount Hood.
OH! The anticipation! Thanks for these fabulous videos and the Adventure Know-How. We are going on a couple long road trips up Oregon, Washington and Idaho and will use it a lot.
Great video. I love your videos of other van builds you are thorough in your references and credits in those and it appears you are in your touring videos as well. A great resource. Thank you. As to my favorite I think by a narrow margin the falls. I love running water 😊.
Welcome to the CRG; ~ & surroundings! [beware of Bigfoot & family] I've crossed a few times, but you've covered much more information & territory than I ever saw. Thanks!
I know people ask you if you're ever coming to eastern US. I've lived, and explored, it for most of my life. Not to discourage the trip, but I doubt you're missing anything unique compared to where you've been, except (maybe) all of the caving opportunities. The falls (and forest) in this video could easily have been in any number of East Coast locations, especially the Brevard area of NC.
I'm so glad you showed this video. I don't know the WA side, but just got my van build out finished and want to take some short hikes and explore the WA side of the gorge! Hooray!
Welcome! You likely had good weather...but it can get quite windy along the Gorge! Top secret: Oregon's weather is SO awesome in Sept and Oct after the tourists leave. I'll be headed to Crater Lake before it closes for its long winter.
Tristin, another great video! spent some time fishing on the Columbia below Beacon Rock! wondered if there was a trail because from the other side of the river we could see folks going up the rock. such a contrast in scenery. be safe!
You should check out the Deschutes River area. I'm not sure now but many years ago there was a place where Native Americans were allowed to fish for salmon using their ancestral ways.
Really good video, I head to Vancouver Washington from Montana Usually once a year, and now I have some places I’d like to stop along the way thanks to you!
I live in the area why on Earth would anyone move to this crime ridden dirty hell hole of a city? I have been in a war zone that looked better. I am looking to sell to get the hell out.
Great video of places I missed seeing during my visit to the area. For your info. the community of N. Bonneville was physically moved to higher ground to accommodate the new dam possibly, Bonneville Dam. That may explain the moving of the petroglyhs that you showed. The Designer of the the Viet Nam Memorial in Wash. D.C. (Maya Lin) has designed some art work at the confluence of some of the rivers along the Lewis and Clark Trail that you may want to visit in the future. I, personally have not seen them, but it's on my bucket list.
Oh. My. God. Such beautiful scenery. There's definitely beauty here in the desert Southwest but there's also something about all those trees and cozy shaded trails. Looking forward to this next video of yours and congrats on almost 100k!
Love driving up the columbia river especially after getting east of Portland then its smooth sailing to all points east. Great video thank you for sharing your adventures!
Welcome to Washington! The east side has pines, the west side is predominantly Douglas-Fir and Western Hemlock, so far as the conifers go, not pines usually... :) Keep up the good work!
Nice to see you visit here, I live in SW Washington 15 minutes from the Gorge. I wish I could tell you good spots to trout fish but honestly so many people around here fish that most of the waters are fished out and the state does a lousy job of restocking IMO. Hopefully you get to see Mr Hill's other great project, Maryhill museum that was a copy of a European style estate, "reportedly" built for his love Queen Marie of Romania (they were both married), she donated some of the priceless art there.
If you can at some point, discuss how you find the locations you visit. In my own experience, I end up driving past so much and regret my aimless wandering. Especially the less known sites and areas. Love being able to vicariously travel with you. Especially the beyond my capability activities.
Nice mix of content, again. Been on a short trip and I'm playing catch up with video watching. Already watched the Mount Hood episode. I'll be honest here. I know you love to climb and it's obvious in that video how much you enjoyed yourself. So I hope you find time for more of those type of videos. For me, I really enjoy the mixed content/subject videos the most. I think those are the ones that grew the channel? Or maybe that's my personal bias influencing my opinion?
Almost 100k. Looking forward to it. Need to celebrate with a video showing all ur favorite places, please.
That's something I've thought about, but I'm just not sure how I'd present that info. It's tricky!
Maybe that why the next video starts filming at midnight? Pre-congrats 👍
He made it! 100K the day after ❤
What an amazing outstanding waterfall you took us to. Additionally I appreciate the dedication of those that rescued, preserved and relocated the various ancient rock art petroglyphs. Thank you for sharing these pieces of historical value depicting a culture

Congrats on the 100K subs. Nice shot with the big foot family.

This is such a good channel. You deserve more than 100k subscribers. Continued success, this is quality content.

Thanks for the tips! I'll have to check those out on my next visit.
Thanks so much for taking us to beautiful places Tristan! I hope and pray I'm able to get out there within the next 2 years.
100k FOLLOWERS!!! Well deserved. Congratulations 🎉🎊🍾🎈

Thanks David! I love Washington. I've been there a bunch, but most of those travels were before I made videos. It was good to be back.
Thank you! New-to-me places to explore.👍💕
Thanks Judith!

Gorgeous as usual...congrats on 100K!...looking forward to seeing what you get up to in the middle of the night!
Cool stuff! Always enjoy your vids. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Great video. Can't wait till you hit 100k mark.
Really enjoyed that Tristan. So many interesting places you saw that one doesn't hear about much. My favorite bit was the hike up the rock. How that guy constructed that trail without killing himself in the process is pretty amazing
Yay!! I knew I knew that waterfall! Beacon Rock is currently closed, within the last few days. Great video!
We took our travel trailer to Washington state many years ago. It was truly a really enjoyable trip. The areas outside of any major city is spectacular!
Thanks Tristan, you're a great tour guide! 🌲🌲🌲
Nice to see you back in the PNW. Great waterfall and views. 😎👍☮️ I like that Stonehenge replica. It's cool that it's an exact replica, rather then just replicating the ruins. Too bad he didn't build it out of real stones though, instead of concrete.
Teaser! I like the glyphs and the waterfall best. The pic with you and the Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) was fun! Can't wait for the next one! Stargazing maybe?
That WWI memorial is amazing. Thank you for this episode.
Panther Creek falls were amazing. Thanks for the super slow pan there. My eyes are trying to take in everything and the falls were so diverse in how they split.
Don’t forget to talk about Glacial Lake Missoula. Those floods helped carve out the gorge. Amazing geology left behind.
Beautiful waterfall, just spectacular and you found another Devil’s Tower! Worth the climb up to get that view and now we get our butts down rapido. Another great video Tristan.
It's a hike worth doing, for sure!
Exceptionnel… as usual. Thank you
I hiked Beacon Rock 3 years ago on a weekday. I was the first person on it that day and it was amazing. Glad you had a chance to hike it.
I live in Washington and the weather might not be the best but we do have a beautiful nature to make up for it
Thanks for sharing the views, this is one of my favorite locations in the US.
Columbia River 🤩. The columnar joints are so fascinating. The natural noise so much better than the back ground music 😬😬.
My home state Washington! Enjoy the 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 If you have the chance, go up 410 to Mount Rainier. Gorgeous
I enjoy all the adventures out west, its beautiful. It would be nice to see you come east and explore some of these parks & mountains.
That waterfall is amazing!
Loved the waterfalls!! Have fun ... be safe.
Thanks Anita!

Thank you for taking us with you.....be safe and keep going
Love your videos, Tristan. Thanks for the tour. It inspires me.

My old ancient surprised me with a spot on the map showing this memorial near Maryhill on the Columbia River. Really cool place. Enjoyed this video.
The photo with your bigfoot family gave me a good laugh.
I like waterfalls and enjoyed seeing them. There's a lot in Western and CNY too.
loved all the various shots of waterfall.....really pretty....good idea. Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you?! 99.9k subscribers! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Staircase trail in olympics is a beautiful hike

of Bigfoot & family]
I've crossed a few times, but you've covered much more information & territory than I ever saw.
Thanks!
I love seeing the places you go. They are so fascinating. I have actually been to the Stonehenge monument. So cool.
This video was so awesome. I loved the waterfall, Beacon Rock, and I'm a sucker for anything Bigfoot related.
I know people ask you if you're ever coming to eastern US. I've lived, and explored, it for most of my life. Welcome! You likely had good weather...but it can get quite windy along the Gorge! Top secret: Oregon's weather is SO awesome in Sept and Oct after the tourists leave. I'll be headed to Crater Lake before it closes for its long winter.
Great video.Same geological activity that created Devils Tower in Wyoming.

We'll be camping in Oregon just outside Walla Walla this weekend. And will be following that route home :)
I’m from Australia. What amazing outdoors you have, thanks for sharing
I might have to make some of these stops on my way back from Tillamook next Spring
You should check out the Deschutes River area. I'm not sure now but many years ago there was a place where Native Americans were allowed to fish for salmon using their ancestral ways.
I've climbed this trail about 3 times. Last time would be 45+ years ago.
Really good video, I head to Vancouver Washington from Montana Usually once a year, and now I have some places I’d like to stop along the way thanks to you!
Another amazing video with some history lessons. Thank you!
Anytime that it's windy this means that the temperature is changing.
Just moved to Portland, can't wait to get out and do some exploring like this!
Portland is a great home base for lots of great adventures, for sure!
I live in the area why on Earth would anyone move to this crime ridden dirty hell hole of a city? I have been in a war zone that looked better. I am looking to sell to get the hell out.
@@deanfirnatine7814 I'm thinking the same...confused!!!
@@deanfirnatine7814 I pray you make it out...stay safe!!!
Falls Creek Falls should also be on your list.... heck, you can do a whole loop in that area to the Lewis River...
The northwest is beautiful!
You always find the unique sites! I feel a good climb coming on…can’t wait.
If you're ever in north central Oregon, you'd love Silver falls state park. Lots of big waterfalls.
Great video of places I missed seeing during my visit to the area. For your info. the community of N.
