That overtake from pecco was crazy...supreme bravery on the first lap...
This is why i love Pecco! He is super fast, he is extremely aggressive on the first laps, he brakes like a beast, and if you overtake him, he is immediately fighting to get the position back. Bagnaia is a real champion! Wonderful fight with Marc, and that double overtake is insane, the same he tried last year with Martín and Binder.
The days Pecco rides focused and angry, he really is a monster rider.

Francesco Bagnaia today:
- Led the first lap from 7th on the grid.
- Double overtake around the outside of Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi in Dani Pedrosa hairpin, and overtake on Marc Marquez at the exit of Jorge Lorenzo corner.
- Lost the lead on last corner of Lap 2 to Martin.
- Let Martin stay ahead for 9 laps with pressure cooker of a chase until Martin crashed on the same hairpin Bagnaia got him from the outside 9 laps before.
- Preserved the tyre wear to the last 7 laps as Marc Marquez began his pursue to his possible first Ducati win.
- Dealt with the pressure from fast charging Marc Marquez and fought him back immediately once he made the overtakes.
- Responded with the All Time Lap Record in Lap 23 to end Marc Marquez's chase to his first Ducati win.
- Became the three-peat winner of the Jerez's Spanish Grand Prix, began from 2022, 2023, and to 2024.
That double overtake from Pecco was next level, pure champion stuff.

Bagnaia has consolidated himself as one of the greats today. One of the best double overtakes of all time, smashed the lap record even under pressure, pressured Martin until he crashed, defended Marc like a Lion, didn't make a single mistake, and at home of his greatest rivals with the largest Spanish crowd ever rooting against him.
In fact, I think Pecco started to save his tyres towards the end of the race, so that Marc (which probably had less tyre rubber towards the end and more tyre temperature/pressure since he was following most of the time) would attack him, waste and heat his tyres even more, and then Pecco counter punched, picked up the pace and lapped the quickest lap to build the gap to protect him to the end. It's a bit speculative if he did all that on purpose, but it was simply masterful.
Not to mention the GP23 seemed to be a bit better than the GP24 today, the GP23 got 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th and it was the bike to be on. Even Bez, which was in trouble the whole season, got a podium today. GP24 got only 1st and 5th.
I was one of his doubters, but not anymore. He had nitrogen-cold blood today running in his veins, and I admire that. I'm very happy that MotoGP is stacked with talent, and I'm pretty sure next race will be a banger too.

Pecco is a mix between Dovi and Rossi. People ignore his talent because of his very calm persona. Like Dovi and Rossi, he rarely loses duels once he stays to the end!

@@Lover_1431 I am not sure if riders will accelerate so late to a corner...the others braked...but Pecco did not ....and hence the massive difference in speed....he braked a lot later then Brezecci as Brezzeci was braking behind Martin I believe...Pecco just went on the outside....where there was nobody braking immediately ahead of him

He let Marc get close at the end forcing him to burn his tires, then does the track record at 2 laps from the end and says bye bye! I just laughed. Starting from the 3rd row, Pecco was just superior and silenced all spanish fanboys in their own house. Kudos to Marc for not crashing neither take other riders out like he did yesterday.

You'll have a hard time convincing me it wasn't the '24 bike's performance, over the '23 bike Marc was riding! Awesome riding by Marc, to finish 2nd. I truly believe if he had a '24 bike, it would have been a win. Great riding by top 4.

@@FruitSweet Those are fun facts. I knew only 2:-( Might be a little late for Pecco to become GOAT. Acosta is younger, hungrier, and some would argue(me) he's more talented. You knew he was coming, and still arrived sooner than you thought could happen. Lots of good riders though!
@@samblack5313 I did notice, both ridden by impeccable riders, but neither could go faster in straights, where it's the bike rather than rider. The GP24 won because it's a superior machine. Nothing against Pecco, I just wonder if it would've been closer. I think Marc is past his prime, Pecco is in his, and Pedro will blow by them whenever he hits his! BTW, just a Honda rooter, not quite fanboy. Actually don't care if Marc wins or not, cause he's not on a Honda anymore! I'm a Zarco fan now. Lol

I still can't believe Binder didn't get a penalty in the Sprint race for taking out Bagnaia ... it was dive inside and knock the other rider off, Binder was on the curb with that idiotic move and knew Bagnaia had no place to go to even try to give Binder barge room. Marquez put up a good fight, but the old injured man just didn't have that little extra to take on Pecco.
