It’s definitely a dark song, it’s often disguised as a cute Totoro like song to those that don’t speak Japanese but when you understand the lyrics it’s actually about a restaurant in the forest where lost souls go to have one last meal before departing this world.
@@Vortex51423While that can be an interpretation, I like to think that it's more of a "one more for the road" kind of vibe. Like the interpretation that when the Grim Reaper comes, he offers you a smoke and waits for the last moment with you so you won't be alone. One last comfort, or something like that.

Thank you very much, I tried my best to write lyrics that weren't too jarring to hear in English while also conveying the original meaning. Turns out that even in Japanese the lyrics are pretty nonsensical so i took some creative liberties :P
