      It's a Spro Freestyle Xtender 3.8m. Brilliant piece of kit because it has 2 different length settings. Just be sure to rinse it down because the aluminium threads can seize with the salt

    Mountain Goat you lad, been down there a good few times in the past. Ammo sandeel fished under a float used to be awesome had pollock to 12 pound and Ballan wrasse to 5 pound with float fished ragworm. However, this was September when there was alot of bait fish in the water. Well done February i should imagine would be quite but you did well to wangle some fish out, great watch as always tight lines

      I've heard of big fish being caught there but I've never had anything bigger than about 6lb. I'll keep casting! Tight lines John👍🎣

      It was pretty chilly! One extra thing I should have added in the video is that you can use these ropes, but inspect every anchor and the integrity of the rope as you go, don't just assume that it's safe. Thanks for the comment and tight lines👍🎣

    What gets me is that you have to do those scary climbs twice. Set up the camera and do it once, then retrieve the camera and do it again. Nuts.

    Those lazy lures have become my new favourite soft plastic, I've had some cracking wrasse and bass on them. Hopefully a pollack one day hahaha

    Hey Nathan,, you make those get downs look like a stole in the park 😂,,i suppose they are when keeping calm and steady i know the camera view can make it more vertical and that you have a background in climbing but still fair play to you 👍 ads another dimension to the day out aswell instead of jst out of the car and fishing I'm not a fan of that at all,, cheers 👍🎣

      It is for pollack, especially in the winter. They move up to shallower water as the weather warms. Cornwall is a lure fishing heaven 😍

      I don't like automatic PFD's but i do have a manual belt one and a PLB in case the Sh*t hits the fan. I'll start talking about them more in my vids, to help put folk's mind at ease. Tight lines mate👍🎣

    Ffs you give me the fear watching you climb down to the marks. Have you ever fell ? How do you not break your rods ?
    If i tried that there would be a broken and bloody splash and snapped rods, you're like a mountain goat 😂😂
    So envious, my back stopped me doing that kind if fishing years ago, i watch your vids with a tear in my eye 😢 enjoy it while you can mate and keep up the good work, your vids are CLASS! ❤

      No, never fallen. I've had one scary moment in 10 years of doing this where a large rock I was holding on to with my right hand came detached and nearly sent me tumbling 80ft to the rocks below. Glad I was taught to always have points of contact.
      The rods get a wee scrape on the way back uo every now and again but never broken one 🤞
      My knees and hip are on the way out now but I'll keep doing this, even if I have to crawl😆 Thanks for the great comment and glad you like the videos👍🎣

      Hi John, it's not normally but I do see it at more at popular marks. Some guy even carried concrete down to that 2nd mark, the plinth I was standing on man made 🤦 It's a bit if a shame if you ask me, it removes that feeling of remoteness.

      Grew up in North Tyneside and live in Northumberland for a good few years. I'll take a look, I've never actually used a Daiwa rod, love the reels though!

      They cost £64 from Angling Direct, actually they have a big massive shop in Washington and Stockton if you are ever down them ways. You will LOVE the rod, i use it for everything, will be good for your channel coz nobody has reviewed one yet! @@SlippyLimpets

    Nathan I love that net you are using. It seems to click out a fair distance and the net is a good size. Is it one of the the Spro range?

      It is, It's a Spro Freestyle Xtender 3.8m with a Spro Urban net head. It doesn't have much horizontal strength but great for dropping down vertically to the water.

    Another brilliant video. Nathan, do you use Navionics to suss out new marks, if so did you upgrade to the paid version?
    I cant fish most of your marks I would be found at the bottom of the cliffs :)

      Hi John, yeah I do, upgraded Navionics coupled with the Ordnance Survey app. It's how I've found marks for years, especially in remote places I've fished like Skye, Orkney and the Outer Hebrides. The free version is good for looking at general areas but the extra detail you get with the upgraded version can help pinpoint specific marks. Plus, I use it on the boat and kayak. Tight lines👍🎣

      @@johnfurness2346 Funny you mentioned that. Navionics is great for finding areas but you need to be able to get down to the water, So I've got a video planned that shows the full process I go through and all of the resources I use for finding and accessing marks.
