It's a Spro Freestyle Xtender 3.8m. Brilliant piece of kit because it has 2 different length settings. Just be sure to rinse it down because the aluminium threads can seize with the salt
I bet Jill would get bored of my vids if they didn't have the odd bit of scrambling in them! Haha yeah, I'll be going back to for them sometime soon! Tight lines Jill & Peter👍🎣
Mountain Goat you lad, been down there a good few times in the past. Ammo sandeel fished under a float used to be awesome had pollock to 12 pound and Ballan wrasse to 5 pound with float fished ragworm. However, this was September when there was alot of bait fish in the water. Well done February i should imagine would be quite but you did well to wangle some fish out, great watch as always tight lines
I know you have a background of climbing. But holy crap - you make me nervous watching you get to your fishing spot! Great video as usual. Tight lines. And stay safe! 🐳👍
great to see you out again, lrf for decent size pollack on precarious rock marks, v entertaining, although had to look away a couple of times as you were traversing the cliff face
It was pretty chilly! One extra thing I should have added in the video is that you can use these ropes, but inspect every anchor and the integrity of the rope as you go, don't just assume that it's safe. Thanks for the comment and tight lines👍🎣
Hey Nathan,, you make those get downs look like a stole in the park 😂,,i suppose they are when keeping calm and steady i know the camera view can make it more vertical and that you have a background in climbing but still fair play to you 👍 ads another dimension to the day out aswell instead of jst out of the car and fishing I'm not a fan of that at all,, cheers 👍🎣
I swear to god, Everytime I watch one of your video's where you become a mountain goat and treverse the cliffs, I hope that you mother is not watching the video lol :) Great video. Thank you.
I don't like automatic PFD's but i do have a manual belt one and a PLB in case the Sh*t hits the fan. I'll start talking about them more in my vids, to help put folk's mind at ease. Tight lines mate👍🎣
Ffs you give me the fear watching you climb down to the marks. Have you ever fell ? How do you not break your rods ? If i tried that there would be a broken and bloody splash and snapped rods, you're like a mountain goat 😂😂 So envious, my back stopped me doing that kind if fishing years ago, i watch your vids with a tear in my eye 😢 enjoy it while you can mate and keep up the good work, your vids are CLASS! ❤
No, never fallen. I've had one scary moment in 10 years of doing this where a large rock I was holding on to with my right hand came detached and nearly sent me tumbling 80ft to the rocks below. Glad I was taught to always have points of contact. The rods get a wee scrape on the way back uo every now and again but never broken one 🤞 My knees and hip are on the way out now but I'll keep doing this, even if I have to crawl😆 Thanks for the great comment and glad you like the videos👍🎣
Back on the lures! great to see, still a few months down South before we can get amongst them.😩 is that the done thing for ropes to be left on the cliff face Nathan?
Hi John, it's not normally but I do see it at more at popular marks. Some guy even carried concrete down to that 2nd mark, the plinth I was standing on man made 🤦 It's a bit if a shame if you ask me, it removes that feeling of remoteness.
Great vid, is that a Washington accent, Sunderland maybe? If you want to try out a Rod review,,,, i just picked up a Daiwa Legalis Seabass Spinning rod, absolute phenomenal looking rod with stunning action... 8ft 6inch - C/Weight 10-35g - Weight 145g - Sections 2 - Transport Length 133cm Please can you do a review.
Grew up in North Tyneside and live in Northumberland for a good few years. I'll take a look, I've never actually used a Daiwa rod, love the reels though!
They cost £64 from Angling Direct, actually they have a big massive shop in Washington and Stockton if you are ever down them ways. You will LOVE the rod, i use it for everything, will be good for your channel coz nobody has reviewed one yet! @@SlippyLimpets
It is, It's a Spro Freestyle Xtender 3.8m with a Spro Urban net head. It doesn't have much horizontal strength but great for dropping down vertically to the water.
Another brilliant video. Nathan, do you use Navionics to suss out new marks, if so did you upgrade to the paid version? I cant fish most of your marks I would be found at the bottom of the cliffs :)
Hi John, yeah I do, upgraded Navionics coupled with the Ordnance Survey app. It's how I've found marks for years, especially in remote places I've fished like Skye, Orkney and the Outer Hebrides. The free version is good for looking at general areas but the extra detail you get with the upgraded version can help pinpoint specific marks. Plus, I use it on the boat and kayak. Tight lines👍🎣
@@SlippyLimpets Have you never thought about doing a video on how to use it? I have upgraded as I fancy going up the west coast of Scotland later in the year
@@johnfurness2346 Funny you mentioned that. Navionics is great for finding areas but you need to be able to get down to the water, So I've got a video planned that shows the full process I go through and all of the resources I use for finding and accessing marks.
@@SlippyLimpets THats brilliant, I only got it yesterday and I am looking at it and thinking what the hell is it telling me, if you need any stupid new user questions I can provide them (that was serious btw)

Honestly mate absolutely love your content!! Got my buzz for rock hopping and lure fishing now and it’s a big thanks to watching your vids 🙌
Woah!, the opening scene had me leaning back in my chair for fear of falling.😁
Another great video, that climbs bad enough when it’s dry, Jill says your bloody crazy! That must be where the two pollock are!🤣👍🏼
I bet Jill would get bored of my vids if they didn't have the odd bit of scrambling in them! Haha yeah, I'll be going back to for them sometime soon! Tight lines Jill & Peter👍🎣
I cant really think of any other form of angling as mental as that. Very exciting to watch 👏👏👏👏

Nice mate, you got me psyched for my tea😂 Hope you had a good one on the west
More like spider man than a fisherman today 😂
Good video
FFS.....I watched this on my exercise bike and my knuckles turned white gripping the bars when you were climbing around 😮
Fantastic
Out of interest, did you pedal quiker or slow down?
😂
Oh man.! I get vertigo just watching you on those cliffs. 😮
Well done Nathan for another exciting vid ,that must have been damn cold ,good info too about not using someones rope .well done

Good Morning Steve, Ah, yeah, good point I'd forgotten about that curse. Tight lines mate👍🎣
getting good nathan at holding your catch now you have had the training nice video hej from scandinavia
Cracking Video my heart was in my mouth watching the climb down lol
Mission accomplished 😊
What gets me is that you have to do those scary climbs twice. Set up the camera and do it once, then retrieve the camera and do it again. Nuts.
It helps burn off a few extra calories. Thanks for the comment👍🎣
Yet another great video Nathan and great advice given...I certainly will not be doing a cliffhanger.... Nathan cliffhanger limpets lol 💯🎣
I'm about as hard to understand as Sly too 😆
@@SlippyLimpets I understand stand you fine lol

Yeah, some great marks and scenery, will be out tomorrow evening and hope to land some whoppers, love the fishing 👍🏼💪🏼🎣
Great job mate , nice vlog , light gear fishing so much fun 👍🏼👍🏼
I love it. It's where i started out, but kept snapping cheap rods. Finally got one that i reckon should be able to handle it. Tight lines mate👍🎣
Those lazy lures have become my new favourite soft plastic, I've had some cracking wrasse and bass on them. Hopefully a pollack one day hahaha

@@SlippyLimpets Thanks Nathan, I'll look into it👍And thanks for the videos👏

Bit sketchy on those cliff-sides, respect!

deep water important then ? I might be making the move to cornwall and taking up luring
